First Hotel Planetstaden

Location is a bit far from train station but have bus stop right in front of the hotel to get on to the train station. Breakfast is excellent and dinner is ok. Wish dinner can provide some dessert options.

Everything was fine at the hotel. You can book your breakfast and dinner times in advance but to be honest noone is checking those bookings. That means sometimes it is very difficult to find a table to sit. The food was very delicious and enough for all.

Overall a terrible stay — we even left a day early. When I told the receptionist it had been a horrible experience, their response was basically, “Okay, whatever.” No apology, no concern. So we just packed up and left. The bathroom had mold. Our room was never cleaned during the days we had booked in advance. There was no parking available for our car. Inside the room, it was around 28°C with no way to cool it down — no windows, no air conditioning, nothing. We asked at reception for help, and they said they’d bring ice, but it never arrived. The food was disappointing at best. Everything was overcooked to the point of being dry and tasteless. Many dishes were constantly empty — for example, when a fresh bowl of potatoes came out, it was gone instantly because half the restaurant was waiting for them. Breakfast was chaotic. There was no bread when we arrived, and when they finally put out a single loaf for about 200 people, it was gone in minutes. Then maybe another loaf would appear 10 minutes later, and then 20 minutes after that another one… The same problem happened with fruit and pretty much every other basic item. And sadly, these are just some of the bad experiences we had during our stay.

Rooms for guests need to be upgraded, bathroom wasn't great at all, no air conditioner, breakfast included but not a lot of options. Family part of hotel was beautiful Rooms was great and views awesome. Feel like you just need pay extra to get huge room to have comfortable bed and room

I was so incredibly impressed with the hotel's front desk staff. They were so kind and helpful. When I mentioned that we wouldn't be able to eat the free breakfast at the restaurant because we were leaving so early to catch a flight, the young woman at the front desk offered to have bagged breakfast items there for us, and they were delicious. She spoke in English for us, and her language skills were terrific. The woman was warm and friendly, and made us feel so welcome. The person who put together the breakfast, gave us a perfect amount of food, and they were equally kind according to my wife. We stayed in a family suite. The rooms were gorgeous, spacious, and clean. I wish we could have stayed there more than one night. My only complaint was parking was a nightmare, and I didn't know that certain spaces were reserved. Thankfully we asked at the front desk about parking, and were alerted about the parking space reservations. A bus parked in the lot and took up several spaces. I'd recommend having the buses park elsewhere, so they don't take up so many spaces from hotel guests. I was able to find street parking easily and close by, so it ended up not being a big issue. The hotel was ideally located, just a minute from the highway and less than 5 minutes from central Lund. We did not hear any highway noise in our room. I'd give this hotel 5 stars all day.

I stayed here while in town for a conference. I enjoyed the included food (breakfast and dinner) and also the spa. The location is ok, a little far out but walkable (if you want).

We had an absolutely terrible experience at this hotel. As you can see in the photos we’ve attached, the first room we were given was in an unacceptable state. The room was unclear, dirty, and looked like it had already been used. The toilet had clearly not been cleaned, and the beds were unmade, as if someone had just slept in them. It was honestly disgusting. We immediately spoke to the receptionist. After a short wait, we were given a second room. We could tell that she had just quickly gone to prepare it, as she came carrying towels and looked like she had just left the previous room. We decided to give the hotel a second chance. Unfortunately, the second room was also dirty. There was still trash left inside, and it was obvious that it hadn’t been properly cleaned either. At that point, we had no choice but to cancel our booking and request a full refund on the spot. This was truly a shocking and unacceptable experience. We strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

I stayed here with my family and we parked at the hotel, then the next day we got a parking ticket even though we paid for the parking. All because they didn’t tell us to scan a code, and appearantly we “parked the wrong place” even though it’s the parking right at the hotel. I’m very dissatisfied and disappointed with my service here at the hotel.

Recommanded! Comfortable, very well designed hotel, good basic breakfast, dinner buffe included in room prices, very nice lobby, .... I'm very satisfied with this hotel. The balkony was over street and I was first woried about the noise level but I closed the window and it was super silent then.

I've spent more than a few nights in this hotel. I must say that it is a fairly good place. The beds are adequate, but the rooms can get quite cold in my opinion. The showers are a bit small. The lounge and restaurant is very nice, however. There is more than enough room to find a quite spot to read/work in one of the many lounge areas. They have the best breakfast around with plenty to choose from. I've only snacked on the dinner menu. Downtown Lund is only a 10 minute walk and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from there. They have a nice little bar to grab a drink as well. The pricing is competitive for the area. The service staff tends to be very friendly and helpful as well.

I've stayed here many times over the past couple years and really enjoy it. The single rooms are small and plain but very functional, clean, and quiet. The breakfast and dinner buffets are both very good. The central lounge area is a great place to relax and the staff has always been helpful.
