First Hotel Planetstaden

I was so incredibly impressed with the hotel's front desk staff. They were so kind and helpful. When I mentioned that we wouldn't be able to eat the free breakfast at the restaurant because we were leaving so early to catch a flight, the young woman at the front desk offered to have bagged breakfast items there for us, and they were delicious. She spoke in English for us, and her language skills were terrific. The woman was warm and friendly, and made us feel so welcome. The person who put together the breakfast, gave us a perfect amount of food, and they were equally kind according to my wife. We stayed in a family suite. The rooms were gorgeous, spacious, and clean. I wish we could have stayed there more than one night. My only complaint was parking was a nightmare, and I didn't know that certain spaces were reserved. Thankfully we asked at the front desk about parking, and were alerted about the parking space reservations. A bus parked in the lot and took up several spaces. I'd recommend having the buses park elsewhere, so they don't take up so many spaces from hotel guests. I was able to find street parking easily and close by, so it ended up not being a big issue. The hotel was ideally located, just a minute from the highway and less than 5 minutes from central Lund. We did not hear any highway noise in our room. I'd give this hotel 5 stars all day.

It’s a wonderful hotel. Our room was fantastic with a great view. The spa was great and evening entertainment was great for us with pool and table tennis. Staff are very friendly and welcoming from reception to the spa. Food, both dinner and breakfast was plentiful and a great variety. Would have been nice if there was dessert available.

Rooms for guests need to be upgraded, bathroom wasn't great at all, no air conditioner, breakfast included but not a lot of options. Family part of hotel was beautiful Rooms was great and views awesome. Feel like you just need pay extra to get huge room to have comfortable bed and room

Excellent hotel, originally planned to stay for two days, we decided to extend another day as the hotel surpassed our expectations!|Staff super nice, lounge ares very nice. The gym was fantastic with really modern and new looking machines. |The room was great, we stayed in a superior room and it had everything we needed, the kitchenette was a nice surprise but we didn’t use it at all since we included breakfast and dinner with our stay and it was so good that no other food was needed. |Breakfast was pretty much the same all the days but really fresh and delicious with good variety depending on what you like for breakfast. |The dinner tho, hats off to the chef! The meat options were different every day, and according to my boyfriend it was excellent, I had the vegan option, it was the same vegan chilli the first two days but I didn’t mind at all since it was so good!! The next day there were vegan meat balls that were excellent as well and I saw that there was a different option the day we left so I think they switch it regularly. |And fresh salad, different sides and bread with every meal. Just excellent!||Parking at the hotel was easy to book on the website and the outside parking was great for us. Another pleasant surprise was that they had washing machines available for usage, I wish I had done some more reading before choosing a program since it’s a combo dryer and washer but the towel rack in the hotel room took care of the drying ;) ||Over all just an excellent stay and we would definitely go back should we visit Lund again

We had an absolutely terrible experience at this hotel. As you can see in the photos we’ve attached, the first room we were given was in an unacceptable state. The room was unclear, dirty, and looked like it had already been used. The toilet had clearly not been cleaned, and the beds were unmade, as if someone had just slept in them. It was honestly disgusting. We immediately spoke to the receptionist. After a short wait, we were given a second room. We could tell that she had just quickly gone to prepare it, as she came carrying towels and looked like she had just left the previous room. We decided to give the hotel a second chance. Unfortunately, the second room was also dirty. There was still trash left inside, and it was obvious that it hadn’t been properly cleaned either. At that point, we had no choice but to cancel our booking and request a full refund on the spot. This was truly a shocking and unacceptable experience. We strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

The room are nice, but they do not even tide up the room unless you ask to do. The people at the receptions are very friendly and supportive they are the best part of the hotel. The breakfast and all food is the big problem , it doesn't match the money the hotel ask, there is limited selection and scramble eggs are dry as they are not cooked at the moment of request. The dinner is not eatable and you need to go out to look for something. It is a pity, the hotel has quite potential to be a very good one.

We stayed in First Hotel Planetstaden one night in studioroom with my huspand and two teenagers.||The Hotel was easy to access. I prebooked parking before arrival. The room was really good, lots of space and separate rooms for sleeping. Teenagers were really surprised about Rituals soaps in bathroom.

This is not an expensive hotel, and if you compare the price to the overall experience… It’s extremely good! I have seen bad reviews of the food, but you can’t expect lobster and steak on the buffet at low cost. The food was plenty and tasty… We had a wonderful stay at Planetstaden!

Recommanded! Comfortable, very well designed hotel, good basic breakfast, dinner buffe included in room prices, very nice lobby, .... I'm very satisfied with this hotel. The balkony was over street and I was first woried about the noise level but I closed the window and it was super silent then.

I've spent more than a few nights in this hotel. I must say that it is a fairly good place. The beds are adequate, but the rooms can get quite cold in my opinion. The showers are a bit small. The lounge and restaurant is very nice, however. There is more than enough room to find a quite spot to read/work in one of the many lounge areas. They have the best breakfast around with plenty to choose from. I've only snacked on the dinner menu. Downtown Lund is only a 10 minute walk and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from there. They have a nice little bar to grab a drink as well. The pricing is competitive for the area. The service staff tends to be very friendly and helpful as well.

I've stayed here many times over the past couple years and really enjoy it. The single rooms are small and plain but very functional, clean, and quiet. The breakfast and dinner buffets are both very good. The central lounge area is a great place to relax and the staff has always been helpful.
