Ate lunch at this restaurant for 2 days consecutively, that’s how good this place is. The seafood is fresh, and you can even choose which seafood you want from their showcase selection. The seafood soup is comforting & packed full of ingredients. The pasta is flavourful, and even just the simple grilled dishes are superb.

Great place for people watching, excellent food , you can also get shrimp or herring sandwich to go. Nice Munich vibe. Will visit in again for sure.

One of the busiest restaurants in Munich. It’s bit difficult to get a table during lunch hours unless you reserve. Fish is very fresh, food is good, prices are a little bit high (at least what I think).

Fresh seafood and delicious dishes. Despite the busy traffic, the waiting time for the dishes to be served was very reasonable. The only challenge for me today was that it was really warm to sit outside in the afternoon.

Always the best seafood in Munich. We visit the restaurant every time we in Germany and very often without a booking and they always accomodating. Freshest seafood 🦞 Thank you.

Super nice meal, lobster was cooked perfectly, staff was friendly, food came quickly. It was packed so it shows how good it is. I recommend it!

The spaghetti gambas is just ok, sadly the prawns they used werent what we expected. The lobster was great. Service was somewhat slow, probably coz they only have 1 person waiting tables.

Our go to place in Munich for seafood. Especially nice to sit outdoor when it is sunny and warm. Fresh seafood and great for people watching . Expect to wait .... Definitely full of locals, not a tourist type of place. Hamburg (northern Germany) style seafood

The best fish restaurant in Münich! I love it! Me and my family went here, and I really recommend Seafood Pasta, and King Lobster. Really the best restaurant here. Also, you can go there, and buy anything that can swim, it's unbelievable! Very kind and smart staff, very kind people, and obviously the best Chef!

Recommended by the hotel concierge. Very busy and hard to get a table but worth it. Christine our waitress was lovely. the energy and overall operation was an experience in itsel. Entertaining to to see the amount of people that walk up for Herring sandwiches or the to-go seafood market. The incredibly fresh tuna tartare and the fresh lobsters with spaghetti were phenomenal. And when you get to meet the two hard-working owners it is a bonus.

Horrible experience and walked out. waitress responded with consistent frustration and outright rudeness when we were trying to name my mothers seating needs; when she explained she had a disability, waitress responded with "she did not care" to her face. Hard to imagine that she would speak to any German/ white elders in such a way. I never leave reviews but I would not recommend this place to anyone-- especially any people of color and their families.

Decent fish sandwich but probably a little over hyped. Sandwich was reasonably tasty (truthfully a little too fishy) but nothing extraordinary. Probably wouldn't buy again any time soon even I lived nearby. But it was cheap!

Absolutely fresh and delicious!! Highly recommended!! We ordered the fish sandwich as well as the lobster roll and they were both amazing to the point that we went back after we finished just to order a jar of lobsters to take away. Love it!

My god these oysters were gigantic, and delicious! My friends and I came in here a minute before they closed, and they still served us a half dozen oysters, no questions asked. They may have been the largest I've eaten, and had the perfect balance of briny, ocean taste and meaty texture. My friend involved in the hospitality industry spotted the quality of fish from the window display and said we should go in. Sure glad he did! The salmon looked particularly fresh with that darker hue and plenty of good fat marks. Even their mixed seafood that shops usually sell to get rid of what wasn't peak quality looked amazing! If I come back, I'll make it a point to have a meal here, as we spied a family eating the last of their seafood dinners and it really looked good.

What a fantastic fish sandwich stand! Freshness and the simplicity are its valors. Even for an onion "troublemaker" like me, the Herring Sandwich With Onion (very thin slices) was a treat.

A reminiscing moment, mein Freund said he and his father would always come here if walking through Viktualienmarkt, so he took me here for a quick bite for a salmon fish sandwich. We both got the smoked salmon with thin onion slices, about 4,50€. Although I will never say no to smoked salmon, I have to agree that there were too many onion slices and the sandwich was rather dry. If a little butter or olive oil were on the bread, It might have been a little more enjoyable for me. Nevertheless, a perfect on the go sandwich and I look forward to coming here again and again, and making it a tradition of our own x

Now, Mrs Witte is a sweetheart. She is a blond pretty lovely host. I've been there a couple of times for oysters and will go there anytime I crave for them. The staff is very nice, quick and professional, even if I visit in my very casual clothes. In some places you will be treated by your clothing. But they don't care, they are just nice to any costumer. The fish is fresh fresh fresh and very good. Their wines are very good and the ambience is fun. A lot of happy people (probably because of the fine wine). Some are a little snobby, sipping their champagne and just wanna be seen. But as long as they sip, they can't talk, so always look on the bright side I can't stop praising this place. But be quick with reservations or patient in waiting. I'm not the only one who totally loves it!

I had a crawfish sandwich while walking around Viktualien Market and it was great! I tempered my expectations a little since it was cold, just on a roll with some lettuce and didn't appear to have any sauce. Well, those all ended up being positives! The crawfish was so fresh it had amazing flavor, big chunks of meat and no shell or other crap to pick out of the sandwich. It was fairly easy to walk around with but I would have preferred a paper bag if some sort. The guy behind the counter was moving pretty quick and didn't seem to have a lot of patience but on his defense they were busy. When he slapped the sandwich on the counter on a napkin I threw him the Euros, grabbed the sandwich and split. I was trying wander the market and have multiple things to eat but I would have loved to try more off the menu here. It seemed rare to find a to go counter option for seafood anywhere in Munich, so this is a great catch;)

Terrible and rude service.No respect to the clients!Since they don't have a competitors around they deal with the people in a utmost arrogant way!This is simply not good!!!

Place is small , We have to find seats by ourselves , price is high compare to other seafood place near by , Whatis more , the waiter is not nice , bad service , not friendly to visitors

NEVER AGAIN. Worst service ever. One of the waiters shouted like crazy the whole time making it impossible to enjoy my meal. The worst part was when she completely lost control about herself and started shouting and blaming a coworker (an old lady by the way) in front of all customers, because she did something wrong with a salad... ?!?!?!
