How to Visit the Island of Raiatea in the French Polynesia

"Arguably the finest eatery on the island, this beachfront spot has indoor and outdoor seating. The latter is especially charming, as tables are sitting directly on a white-sand beach, and depending on the tide, your feet might even be in the water. The restaurant treats patrons to breathtaking sunset views and a menu where the highlight, as its name suggests, is the fresh seafood." - Travel + Leisure Editors

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fish and Blue is an absolute gem! The owner is so lovely and welcoming, it really adds to the charm of the place. The atmosphere is fun and inviting, with stunning views that make the dinner even more special. Every dish we tried was delicious, and the drinks were just as impressive. Don’t miss the chance to stroll through the beautifully decorated space and pop into the little gift shop! Highly recommend for a memorable meal and a wonderful overall experience.

Wow, what a beautiful setting. We showed up with a group of 11 and were warmly welcomed. We enjoyed the best cocktails of our trip while watching the sunset, then had a terrific dinner. Though French Polynesia is expensive, Fish & Blue was a great value.

Fish & Blue is an absolute must. It’s my favorite restaurant in French Polynesia. Atmosphere is amazing, service is great, and the food is also tip top. Don’t skip dessert, and make sure to get a dessert with one of their homemade dessert rums. Don’t miss out on Fish & Blue!

I was told this was the best restaurant in the Tahitian Islands so I went with high expectations. The restaurant and the staff surpassed my expectations and we had a lovely evening with all agreeing it was just fab 😊

Nice place, for sunset. Cocktails served way too sweet and partly in beer glasses. (For this wanna be classy place? And very expensive for that as well) Bad service. After sunset we waited more than half an hour before I finally got up to ask for a menu. Food: nothing special, again for this price I would have expected some nice cuisine! Or at least big portions, both was not the case... They won't see me a second time... Go there for the sunset and then leave for a nice roulotte, that's much more fun!

Owner was amazing and greeted us and checked on us numerous times. She hand decorated this gorgeous place and couldn’t ask for a prettier location. Food portions were incredible, much larger than anticipated for such an upscale place. Make it a night out and go here. You won’t regret it.

A little preface. My wife and I were both looking for restaurants as we sailed the leeward Tahiti islands. We planned a different place to moor or anchor everyday. So planning was a must first to navigate the boat to the location and secondly shop and find food and Or restaurants. As we compared notes, we both said this is a place we want to stop. So we decided it would be our last night destination as it is close to our marina. That allows us to relax on the boat until an hour before boat check in. Sorry about my none related info. Anyhow, this is the place to go. Differently decorated areas throughout the property. Starting on the dock and working your way around. It is a covered outdoor area for the most part. You can walk past the bar and find a pool table. Down the hall and find a large beautiful well decorated bathroom. From there to a room that feels like a home. Now the food. Wow wow wow. We want more. The place has environment, flavor and wonderful people working there. We ordered Red Tuna Tataki, Paris Bistro Rib eye, and the fisherman’s catch. Each main choice had an accompaniment of sides unlike normal finds like a flash fried banana in coconut cream. If I saw on a menu I don’t think I would have ordered. So glad it was on my plate. Then came the dessert. Great choices beyond belief. My wife is not normally the shopping type. But I encouraged her to check it out, and so many beautiful pieces. Amazingly a handmade earring and ring that we made a set. We met the owner and she was pleasant and had a personality to please. She looks the type to not just create wonderful meals but decorate this place and make this hand made jewelry. It was a little on the pricey side but we will be back soon. You just can’t go wrong here

If you are looking for amazing views and a lovely atmosphere this is the right place for you. We cannot recommend the food. My partner and I came for some drinks (which were expensive but very tasty). We shared the Poulet Citron. Immediately after ordering (2minutes) the food arrived to which we were both surprised. It is impossible that the food was cooked fresh to order. The fries were piping hot, the cucumber side was lovely and the chicken was cold/ lukewarm, We don’t usually complain but felt obliged to given the high price point, only the chicken was taken away and was returned to us within 30 seconds, the dish was piping hot and the chicken a little bit warmer, obviously been microwaved which led us to believe that it was microwaved in the first instance. This is a great place for cocktails and views but not food.
