We stayed at Fish Creek Hotel for two nights while visiting Wilsons Promontory. The hotel is located in a small, quiet town less than an hour’s drive from the Prom — a great base if you’re looking for more comfortable accommodation options nearby.
We initially booked a budget twin room, but were quite surprised to find it didn’t include a private bathroom. The room itself was small but clean. We asked for an upgrade straight away, and the receptionist — who was already expecting us — kindly helped us switch to a queen room.
The upgraded room was spacious, clean, and built in solid brick, which made it feel more private and quiet. Towels were changed on the second day while we were out, which was a nice touch. Sheets weren’t changed (which I don’t mind for a short stay), but I did wish there was a microwave to heat up drinks — especially during cold winter nights.
Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly service and a good location. Would recommend upgrading to the queen room for a more comfortable experience.
