We stayed at Fish Creek Hotel for two nights while visiting Wilsons Promontory. The hotel is located in a small, quiet town less than an hour’s drive from the Prom — a great base if you’re looking for more comfortable accommodation options nearby. We initially booked a budget twin room, but were quite surprised to find it didn’t include a private bathroom. The room itself was small but clean. We asked for an upgrade straight away, and the receptionist — who was already expecting us — kindly helped us switch to a queen room. The upgraded room was spacious, clean, and built in solid brick, which made it feel more private and quiet. Towels were changed on the second day while we were out, which was a nice touch. Sheets weren’t changed (which I don’t mind for a short stay), but I did wish there was a microwave to heat up drinks — especially during cold winter nights. Overall, a pleasant stay with friendly service and a good location. Would recommend upgrading to the queen room for a more comfortable experience.

Very nice stay on our way from Sydney to Melbourne. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Gave useful tips for the area. Had dinner at hotel restaurant and Parma was very tasty. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Only note is that bathrooms seem to be little old and outdated but nevertheless spotless clean. Would recommend staying at Fish Creek Hotel! Staff at both hotel and restaurant were great!

Excellent lunchtime outing for our group of 8 clients and staff. The food, atmosphere and service were all fantastic. Thanks Michael. We will definitely be back!!

Well after being served at the front reception by Norman Bates, who mumbled where the room was i was staying, 🫣😬then he walked off, was not happy to be there to serve anyone. Shame because I'm a local and word gets round. Room is dirty, i know its cheap but it can be clean. The back area is a mess, would not eat there ever. The building has character, that's all its got going for it. Food is expensive for what it is.😏

The hotel is in a great location for visiting Wilson's Promontory. We stayed in the annexe which offers good value for money. The ensuite rooms were very clean and had plentiful supplies of tea, coffee, milk and sugar The rooms were heated via the aircon system which was efficient. An additional heater was also provided. The bed was very comfortable. The shower had good pressure. The rooms were slightly tired and perhaps could be refurbished. Unfortunately there were no coat hangers. The staff were friendly and we had an excellent evening in the bar. We were certainly made very welcome. Fish Creek itself is an interesting township. One of the highlights is the large fish weathervane. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Enjoyed a relaxed lunch break at Fish Creek Hotel, the serves are large, fresh and hearty. We teamed our meals with excellent local wine, the staff were attentive and happy and the Art Deco architecture is well worth a walk through. Don't miss the big fish dangling from the roof!

Very Poor Quality and Overpriced We were very disappointed with our experience here. The food was well below expectations, especially for the prices charged. The linguine was drowning in pasta sauce but had no real flavour — very underwhelming for $39 a dish. The salmon was dry and served on equally dry couscous, making the whole dish quite unpleasant. Even the sticky date pudding was a letdown — it was dry because there was hardly any sauce on it. Overall, very poor quality and not worth the money. Would not recommend. Take your own food!!!

Food was delicious but it took about 10 mins for someone to meet us at the door. I also feel if you turned the desk by the kitchen the other way - patrons would queue the other way and not block the entrance to the bistro.

Went here for a spontaneous dinner on a Sunday. Awesome staff, great food. Can only recommend. Had the specials and were blown away. Not usually this enthusiastic, but this really took the prize.
