Fish Face Takeaway and Restaurant

What a find! Fish Face completely blew us away with the quality of their seafood. We started with the oysters and mushroom chips - both were so good we almost didn't need mains! But the handwritten menu with the daily catches was too tempting to resist. We opted for the grilled Groper and Blue Grenadier, and both were cooked to absolute perfection. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. Can't wait to come back and try more!

Amazing fish and chips. We had crumbed gummy shark and blue eyed cod a salad and the face plate. Just delicious. Not cheap but worth it. Suggest you book and get there before 7pm as they had sold out of fish by then and closed even though open hours are until 8. A good selection of tables inside and lots of takeaway so ordering is slow. But the staff are great and there are lots of them to cope with the volume.

Yeah.. not great. Spent almost $50 and got a serving of chips for one, even though we paid for two, the fish pieces were tiny and also riddled with bones. Also had no salt on anything (salt pictured is our own) Unfortunate as this place came highly recommended.

Great fish restaurant located very centrally in Esperance. You get lots of choice, with a daily rotating selection of mostly local fish and the preparation at your discretion for most dishes. The fish is high quality and cooked well, definitely recommend for a dinner in Esperance.

We rate the Nannygai meal we had at Fish Face the BEST we have had in Australia. It was very fresh, a good size serving and perfectly cooked. Coupled with the gorgeous lady from Spain who served us, this establishment deserves a 5 star rating from us.

On “face”value, fish face is a little to fancy for basic fish and chips. The cod battered and grilled was amazing, but the chips where tasty as Esperance sand with no salt, and the potato cakes where undone. Salad was lovely. Overall we thought, if you want to go fancy at least have your own home made tomato sauce.

I was looking forward to a nice piece of fresh fish cooked up, but I found it very dry and tasteless. The chips were only just warm, soft, and yuk. Granddaughters 15 and 17 would not even eat them. That says a lot. I never give a negative review, but I guess there is always a first. Most of the food was binned. Sorry guys.

Friendly staff and one of the best fish and chipperies in the area. Well worth a visit if you’re down this way!
