Fish hostel鶯歌魚旅民宿背包客棧 (Yingge Taoyuan hostel)

Mother of god, the place is horrible, just one small bathroom for the whole word. The curtains look like pieces that were found in a trash can. Quite an old place and the price way too expensive compared to a capsule hotel, almost double or even a brothel/hotel, at least there you can have some pleasure.

FISH hostel is a very cozy, neat, and lovely place to stay. It is located in Yingge which is known for ceramics. (You can try to make your own ceramics if you have time - it takes 2 weeks to have a completed one). It is right across the Yingge Train Station (1 minute away) so it is very convenient. Even if your train arrives at Yingge station very late at night, you can just walk to the hostel. It takes 20-30 minutes from Taipei city by train. (It costs less than 1 dollar to buy a one-way ticket) ||||Most importantly, I liked how staffs here are very "genuine". The owner is very cute, young, and delightful person to talk to. She is majoring in arts so she decorated her hostel very well. Also, her mother, Sophie, is such a wonderful human-being. Her English is very fluent and she is very considerate of others. ||||This hostel is very new so it is very clean and neat. Free Wi-fi works very well in the 1st and 2nd floor. Since this hostel is so unique that it was broadcasted in Taiwanese News. (I interviewed as a customer hehe^^) ||||I strongly recommend you to stay in this hostel. I ended up having a wonderful time and made lots of good friends in Taiwan. This hostel really gave me the great impression of Taiwan.

Located on opposite TRA station so that very connivence but quietly. I feel that the room and common areas are clean and comfortable. Because I came late, almost of restaurants were closed so that I asked custodian. He is very friendly to take me go around and introduce about Yingge. Only minus points is manager 🐶 named 財財. He was trying to ignore me even I just made a small conversations, doesn’t wanna working so that keeping looking out. But he is so cute so being acceptable. 🥰

Location is perfect. The staff friendly. We had the family room, with the ensuite. It was very spacious and clean - although we were a bit put off when we found someone’s hat in the drawer. The curtains were also too thin and small, meaning they let in too much light and they didn’t cover the whole window.

The price is decent and the room (family room) is ok. Train station is just across the road. The downside is that we found someone’s hat in the drawer, and we could hear the traffic throughout the night, also the curtain was too thin and lets in too much light.

Fish Hostel is located in Yingge where is a small town in famous of ceramics, it's very cozy, warm & clean place to stay. The owner is very friendly & helpful, she provided many useful tips to stroll around Yingge or somewhere nearby such as Sanxia, even share many stories about travel, study, life... ||||If you wanna escape from the busy city, Fish Hostel will be your first choice! Just 30mins train from city & you can enjoy such a quiet corner, slow down your rhythm & relax there, you will see it's different atmosphere from the city, or else you can make your own mug & plate! ;)

Lovely hostess. Very helpful, social woman. Good pricing as well. The place is clean and has good service. The friendly and quiet guests contributed to a good night sleep. If ever go back to this nice little town, I definitely will sleep here again.

Nice set-up right across the street from the train station. ||Well run and very organized and clean small hostel. ||I was in the dorm but was alone that night. Private bathroom for this dorm room that holds 8 [or was it 6?].
