Wonderful spot! My girlfriend and I had lunch here and tried their prix fixe 3-course menu. The service was great, and the ambiance was delightful. The surrounding patio speakers added a nice touch with their choice of music.
We started with the tuna tartare and Piri Piri shrimp as appetizers, and both were phenomenal
For mains, we had the vongole pasta and lobster risotto. The pasta was al dente, but in my opinion, both dishes leaned a bit too much on the acidic side (overly sour/tart). I would have liked more clams in the vongole, as four of the shells were empty (nor had they fallen out into the sauce). The slightly tomato-based sauce was an interesting twist for a vongole, but my preference would be for the traditional. The risotto had a great texture, and the lobster was cooked well, but the acidity, possibly from tomato or lemon, could have been more balanced.
Now for the real highlight: the coconut bread pudding. Simply spectacular! It’s the best thing I’ve had here and would come back just for this dish. 12/10! We also tried the Contrieu crème brûlée, which had a nice thin sugar crust, but the custard itself tasted a bit too alcoholic for my palate
Overall, a great experience with some memorable dishes. I would definitely return for that coconut bread pudding!
