Fishtail is a little paradise tucked under the Annapurna range and surrounded by the serene Pokhara lake. We had stayed at Fishtail as newly weds and visited this September to celebrate 25 years. Nothing has changed. It has got only better. The property has maintained its old charm with new upgrades.. Their service is impeccable. The restaurant by the lake serves excellent food in such a beautiful ambience. The staff is so nice and warm. They take the word hospitallity to the next level. Special shout out to Prakash, Bidur, Hasta and Tej Kumari. We will never forget their warmth and service. Taking home some beautiful memories of these beautiful people!

Small beautiful resort on an island in Fewa Lake. Old world charm, attentive staff and quaint rooms in circular lodges that lends itself to a peaceful stay. Greeted by front desk staff with bindis and leis after a cute boat ride in a canoe over to the resort, was a great start to our stay. Recommend breakfast outside on the terrace overlooking the lake and Annapurna mountain range for a peaceful start of your day. Attentively taken care of our culinary needs by Prakash who not only served us but told us stories of the mountains and sharing local anecdotes. One feedback to the resort is to encourage guests to not use phones and iPads on speaker during meals or in public areas. Many a peaceful moment was marred by such inconsiderations by other guests that could have been prevented by using headsets.

This resort/hotel is classified as "5 Star" hotel. Defiantly not a 5 Star Place. I would classify it as "3 Star". Room was average. Old "Cabin" like rooms. Shower does not have a door. When you take a shower, water spills everywhere in the bath room. Power kept flickering. Happened at least 4 to 5 times a day. Had Breakfast and Dinner for 2 days. Limited Breakfast selection. Dinner food was poor. Food did not have a taste - very bland. Food was way over priced. Service was average. Hotel grounds were good. Lots of greenery - Trees and plants. You need to take a small Canoe from main road to the hotel/resort - across the lake - short distance - like 100 yards or so. This is cute and romantic 1st time when you do it. After that it gets old and annoying. There is no bridge or walkway from hotel to main road. If you just want to get out and walk to main road, you need to ring a bell and wait for the Canoe to show up. Bottom line, for the money, it's not worth it to stay here. There are other hotels near this one that are better and for less money....

I think it is the best located hotel in Pokhra. The ambience is awesome, The staff was very helpful. Mr Krishna was very friendly and took good care of us. We loved going on the raft or boats, kept for transfer. The food was delicious. Sitting for meals with a view of the green mountains and serene lake felt good.
