How to Plan a Trip Along Amtrak's New Mardi Gras Route to New Orleans | Condé Nast Traveler

"An offbeat, mural-lined lane stitched with restaurants, bars, and music venues, it’s my go-to for a wandering meal and a dose of local street art." - Jessica Puckett

What a neat experience! I love that the city took it upon itself to preserve this alley and let local artists put their stamp on it. It’s a truly immersive urban experience—a feast for the eyes, with so much creative art to see. Just be prepared for the full sensory experience of an active city alley; it comes with its own unique aroma and a few local characters. It's so authentic you can practically taste the city, but you might want to bring a clothespin if you're sensitive! It would be even better if they added a plaque or a history marker to explain the story behind the art.

It was nice but I'm sure in time it could be great!

Nice place for people who like murals .. quick walk from the parking lots... I guess there are some more murals on the other end of the alley, which I missed but noticed when driving that side of the road.

If you're an art/ graffiti lover, this is the spot for you. It's an alley behind a couple restaurants and bars and I go there periodically to see what new pieces the artists have put up. There's many photo ops there and I always leave with a new favorite. It's fun to get other people's opinions on the artwork as well. I love skulls 💀 so that's the first thing I look for. But definitely check it out in downtown Gulfport.

Fishbone Alley is a vibrant, pedestrian-only alleyway nestled between 26th and 27th Avenues in downtown Gulfport. Once a neglected space, it has been transformed into a cultural hotspot adorned with colorful graffiti, original murals, and reclaimed brick. The alley’s brick streets date back to the early 20th century, adding to its historic charm. Visitors can enjoy live music while strolling through this historic alley amid rows of downtown shops. The area is known for its unique atmosphere and is a popular spot for both locals and tourists. Fishbone Alley is open 24 hours a day, making it a convenient stop at any time

A wonderfully art-filled alley almost hidden in beautiful historic Gulfport.

Fishbone Alley didn't really have the atmosphere that i would have expected. There was some nice street art, my favorite was definitely the one pictured in this review. It was supposedly a vibrant social hub, but to me it seemed empty and a little trashy. I may or may not be extending this review with this last sentence to see if i can make it 200 characters or more. I am.

Yelp
If you're already in the area it's worth passing through. It's simply an alleyway between two building with art murals.

Yelp
Very cute stop. Would love more pieces to be added. Very nicely done, excited for what it will evolve to be.

Yelp
Located between 26 and 27th Avenue and 13th and 14th Streets, this used to be a utilitarian alley for garbage and deliveries but is now decorated with artwork. Amazing artwork. Just one block in length. I am not sure who the artist is. It is located in the Historic District of Gulfport. I did not run into anyone, but many businesses back up to this gem, and it seems to be popular when the businesses are open. It is free to walk down, so make a stop. This is a lovely alley.
