My wife and I stayed here one night. Our room was plain but it was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is no TV available. The restaurant & bar is very pleasant. We had fish & chips. It was quite good. The chocolate cake was fantastic! The provided breakfast was nice. We enjoyed our stay in this little fishing village and would definitely return.

We had dinner at the Fisherman and stayed overnight and had breakfast at the hotel of the same name. Dinner: We had Fish & Chips, the catch of the day, and homemade rhubarb cake for dessert. The fish was really tender and excellent. The price-quality ratio is good. The staff was really very friendly and helpful. We would definitely recommend it. Hotel: The negative reviews on Google surprised us before arrival, but the rooms were really great, clean, and looked new. There is a shared bathroom with a shower and toilet. Despite the peak season, the hotel was not full. Breakfast: Breakfast is offered in the restaurant across the street and consisted of a sufficient and good breakfast buffet. All in all, definitely recommend!

Room was ok. Mid of October restaurant was closed. For breakfast they offered self service out of a badly sorted fridge - don’t try it - run away… dirty stuff / dishes from past days was also standing around. The milk was gone bad but still offered in the fridge.

An Icelandic family of four, travelled over a weekend for a wedding in Flateyri. We travel a lot and this hss to be one of the best stays in Iceland ever. The staff is amazing, the breakfast was great and the beds were super comfortable. This tops some very expensive international hotels in terms of comfort and staff. Suðureyri is a slice of heaven. Thank you so much and we are looking forward to our next visit. Ps. Would give six stars if we could.

Owner is super nice and friendly, also an amazing cook. Little hard to find, mainly because the main building is not well marked and the GPS will take you to an actual fishing warehouse. Rooms are really comfortable and clean with some great views. Not much to do in this town, everything closes very early (4-6pm) in the winter.

We stayed here last night, and it was very good. We missed more windows in our room, as the air was heavy inside. Had dinner at their restaurant, and even though there's not many options to choose from, what we ate was abundant and fresh (new fish). The waiters, who were Spanish, were very nice and kind. Best Bailey's carajillo I've got in Iceland, not made by me!!! ☺️ Breakfast was on the same line as dinner, not abundant in choice, but good. The fresh bread was delicious. We'll come back if at any time we're around! Recommended 100%!!!

"Fisherman" is a fish processing company located at the outskirts of Suðureyri. The guesthouse is in the very center of the village. We were the only two guests when we stayed there this winter. Our room was big, bright, warm, with an in-room bathroom. Breakfast served in the main building across the street was opulent. We did not expect this kind of treatment, as we came off-season. Hint: If you want to meet the locals, discuss road conditions and tourist attractions of the region - visit the heated swimming pool located in the school next to the church.

This hotel has its own restaurant. The breakfast is amazing, the menu offerings are wonderful. The staff is friendly, kind and helpful.|The rooms are clean and comfortable. |As an added bonus we saw the Northern Lights each of the two nights we stayed. I really would travel here again.
