We've just got back from a wonderful stay in Golant, we were delighted to find this pub just 5 minutes walk down the hill from us. All the staff are incredibly friendly, and Nick is a great landlord, we spent all but one evening in there. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The Fishermans Arms really does feel like the heart of the community. We're already looking to come back to Golant, so hopefully we'll be able to spend more evenings enjoying the views from this fantastic pub

I think the pub might be a family owned and run pub - it was all very casual and friendly. We arrived before the kitchen opened but they opened it early for us. It has a nice vibe to it and the food was good. Warning: When the tide comes in, it floods the main road and you have to drive up some tight roads to get out of town.

Beautiful peaceful pub on the river Fowey. Great service and a good buffet selection on a Sunday. Good outdoor space with some covered space also. If you're lucky you'll see a very rare train pass through 🚂

Delicious food and delightful service in a stunning location. The best crab sandwich I've had with an imaginative and tasty salad garnish; perfect cheesy chips too!

Situated in a quiet tributary of the River Fowey, utterly idyllic ,with an elevated beer garden offering an unparalleled view. Apparently a first class local reputation for its diverse food and complemented with a well stocked bar, at affordable prices. Highly recommend, but be aware of limited parking and a fast encroaching high tide on the entry road!

Stumbled across Golant following an aborted trip to Fowey. Delightful find and kudos to the chef for accommodating a difficult combination of food allergies at short notice.

With a view of the river Fowey and the railway drinking and even eating as well is a more than enjoyable experience. Staff are kind, helpful, friendly and make you feel part of the community that seems to revolve around their beautiful pub. Food is some of the best traditional pub food I’ve seen in a long time. Fridays have a fish and chips special, which I can highly recommend, you can feel the heart and care in the food. Additionally the cheese board has a very generous portion size that I think you would struggle to find anywhere across our island nation. The Landlord (Nick), his family and staff are a great well oiled machine that gives anyone an experience never to be forgotten, one that is reserve a table for. A pub unlike any other…

Yelp
This is a lovely place with a great view over the estuary. Its a small pub but they have a seating area/patio outside which is great during the summer months. The menu is good and the food is well presented and tastes really good , menu and views can be seen at http://www.fishermansarmsgolant.co.uk/ Be careful if you park your car right at the bottom where the boats are moored. At a high tide the road can flood and your car can be stranded or worse, flooded. This is a really friendly pub and impromptu events are likely to happen (singers with guitars) as well as organised events. and the pub and village are well worth a visit.
