With a view of the river Fowey and the railway drinking and even eating as well is a more than enjoyable experience. Staff are kind, helpful, friendly and make you feel part of the community that seems to revolve around their beautiful pub. Food is some of the best traditional pub food I’ve seen in a long time. Fridays have a fish and chips special, which I can highly recommend, you can feel the heart and care in the food. Additionally the cheese board has a very generous portion size that I think you would struggle to find anywhere across our island nation. The Landlord (Nick), his family and staff are a great well oiled machine that gives anyone an experience never to be forgotten, one that is reserve a table for. A pub unlike any other…

Quaint, friendly local pub with the classics you'd expect. Expansive menu and lots of specials and the likes of a Wednesday curry night and pizzas in the evening as well as the menus you can find online. Chicken balti curry, chicken and pancetta pie (great pastry!), scampi & chips and crispy chicken wings and cheesy chips all thoroughly enjoyed. Vegan treacle tart and Christmas pudding with brandy custard also super tasty. Outside area with the river view looks lovely and is big for the warmer months. Super convenient if you book a holiday rental in Golant and recommend a visit if you are staying nearby in Fowey etc. Woodland walk available up behind the houses too. Dogs allowed in the bar area to the left.

Wonderful walk from Fowey along the river to his pub. Sat in the garden with great views looking out to the boats. Had a great meal. It is good that they cater for gluten free intolerance!

Lovely place nice area. Good price for what you get. The pub owner is very friendly The same as the service. We went on a Sunday when there is a buffet for 10 pounds very good value for money and very lovely food and enough choice for vegetarians.

A local pub with amazing food. Tasty, fresh with a range to cater for most tastes. Really chatty, friendly staff and the pub is split into a section for diners with dogs, and those without. It's a bit tricky to find, but totally worth the effort.

This is a lovely place with a great view over the estuary. Its a small pub but they have a seating area/patio outside which is great during the summer months. The menu is good and the food is well presented and tastes really good , menu and views can be seen at http://www.fishermansarmsgolant.co.uk/ Be careful if you park your car right at the bottom where the boats are moored. At a high tide the road can flood and your car can be stranded or worse, flooded. This is a really friendly pub and impromptu events are likely to happen (singers with guitars) as well as organised events. and the pub and village are well worth a visit.
