The campground has electric and water hookups. They also have sewer hookups. The large campsites in area 1 were the best. Reservations are not easy to book, 12 months out they fill up. Bathrooms were very clean. Sites in area 2 were most unlevel. Firepit was at every site.

We enjoyed this campground. It had lots of trees and bushes. Lots of roads to take walks. Some views of the water. Some areas will have a bit of highway noise. Trash area good with a place to throw away propane tanks. Love the surrounding area and there is a grocery store not far away.

We found the campground ok. If you are near the road you will hear the traffic and drag racing. Otherwise inside the grounds it’s actually quiet ( no partying as no alcohol is allowed) Our site was level but looking at other sites you need to level. We were in the area of water and electricity only but dumping is located in the park. We have a low motorhome which we found it frustrating as the dump is up high. The bathrooms are clean but you have to pay to use the showers. They do have a change machine to do so. If you have kids they have a playground and basketball court. We noticed tennis and volleyball net too. There is no real beach access and a lot of beach’s you have to pay and don’t allow dogs. Fisherman’s park over near the lighthouse you can fish from but we also took our dogs there with no issues. And you don’t have to pay for parking. If you want icecream Aunt Carries has a big selection. There is a surf, coffee and breakfast place across the road and up a bit that my husband recommends. Coffee is strong thou. They will make you show your pass every time you come in the park not just look at it from your windscreen. You have to have your Registration or take a photo of your plates to show the front desk which can lead to multiple rigs waiting. Also if you are in a motorhome and tow a car you are not allowed anymore cars at your site. The sites themselves had some privacy but people will cut through if you are located near a trash bin.

This is a very popular Campground for many reasons. First, it's reasonably priced at $28 per night for Rhode Island residents and $55 for out of state. This includes water, sewer and electric. It's located on a hillside with the most popular sites being at the bottom of the hill. These are especially large, with those towards the top of the hill being narrower, and some are very steep making it a challenge to level your rig. The biggest drawback to staying here is the terrible reserve America reservation system. It's very user unfriendly, and doesn't allow any change of sites, change of days or anything of the sort. It's impossible to deal with an individual that can assist, including the rangers at the camp who are at the mercy of reserve America. Another oddball thing is if you're in a class a, b or c (Self-Propelled) rig you can only have one other drivable vehicle on site, whereas with a trailer you can have two. This can cause complications if you have a visitor that's coming to spend the night as you have to park that vehicle far off site as there are no permitted parking options at the campsite. Guests must depart at 10:00 p.m. and the charge for a guest vehicle is $12 for the daytime only visit. The area is well maintained.

Felt like I was practicing being homeless rather than camping. Campsites are right next to the bathrooms and the hand dryer can be heard throughout the night. No quiet hours are enforced and it stayed loud till midnight which is hard to avoid when there’s tents right next to each other with no barriers. When you arrive they hand you a permit with bold letters stating “no alcohol” which was not advertised on the website or when booked. No beach access, you must leave the park and pay for access to local beaches.

Very buttoned up campground with security always checking vehicles coming in. Lacking in whimsy and fun but definitely beautiful and optimized in functionality.

Low Rv 30 amp outage caused surge suppression to send alert to disconnect from power to prevent electrical system damage. This incident caused wall gfci outlet to be damaged and shorting. Full hookup post in center of lane length so bring your double sewer hoses and longer supports as fixtures mounted higher atop concrete pad than nearby ground. Rv lane has large mounds to either side on our lot so restricted use of tent and care in step down ladder positioning. No boat dock/launch. No adult beverages allowed but adult wacky smokes widespread if the second hand sweetness bothers you. Playground including tennis courts, basketball goals, kids exercise gym equipment. Has no camp store. All trash bins in one location, not distributed for ready access.

Loved camping @ this park. Clean, quiet and offers hookups. Great location for visiting surrounding area. I'm usually the "stick me in the woods" kind of camper, which this isnt, but plenty of trees & shrubbery to make up for it. Approximately 15min easy & safe (sidewalk & parking lane)bike ride to Galilee for beaches, restaurants, shop's and ferry to Block Island. This was my first time coming here. VERY impressed. Definitely putting this park on the "return" list. Camped 2 nights in camper van on FHU site 43. Site was fine for us. Maybe not good for larger units. A little narrow but booked last min & only 2 to pick from. Still happy I did. Plenty of good sites.
