I had a tasteful experience here. I ordered the seafood platter, which came with a generous variety, small shrimps, big prawns, crab claws, mussels, scallops, oysters, and a selection of sauces and bread on the side. The food was fresh and full of flavor. The staff were really nice and attentive, making sure everything was to our liking. It’s a small place, but it has a cozy vibe that I really enjoyed. Being close to the central station is a bonus. I’d definitely visit again.

Fiskeriet is a must-visit spot for seafood lovers in Oslo! The seafood soup is rich and packed with fresh ingredients, and the salmon is unbelievably fresh and tender—easily the best I’ve ever had. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Reminder: the restaurant gets very busy, so make sure to book online in advance! This place truly showcases the best of Norwegian seafood. I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in Norway!

Really really really good place to go for fish and chips! We accidentally made a reservation at their other location but they were nice and got us a table. We had, salmon tataki, cod croquettes, local oysters, fish and chips and a Kim Chi Bloody Mary! All of it was great!

Google
The restaurant has a short menu with fresh options for seafood. They have tables outside and inside a well decorated small, but very functional space. We had the creamy mussels, the fish and chips and the fish gratin and all portions were decent and delicious. We particularly enjoyed the mussels for which the sauce was amazing. The service is fast and kind, making our experience great!

Google
Amazing fresh seafood at Fiskeriet! We ordered the Creamy Fish Soup, Fish & Chips, and the Salmon Tartar — all of them were absolutely delicious. The fish was incredibly fresh and well-prepared, with flavors that were rich and satisfying, not bland at all. The highlight for us was definitely the fish soup — creamy, flavorful, and comforting. Highly recommended to make a reservation in advance, as the place can get quite busy.

Food was amazing and service was quick and attentive. We tried fish gratin, mussels and shrimps with some starters. We loved everything. Also please please try fish cakes. Those were so good as well!!

Google
The best seafood I've ever had. It's fresh, delicious and I absolutely adored everything we had. The staff is the best service I've ever experienced in a restaurant. Super friendly, polite, jokes around. They know their stuff, make good recommendations. The place is small and you should consider making a reservation if you plan to go, but it's very cozy, there's some gorgeous art on the walls. If you're I Oslo you HAVE TO go and eat there. Also they're snow crab is to die for!

Google
The menu is short but offers a very good variety of fish and seafood dishes. We loved the creamy fish soup and even more the impeccably fresh ceviche. A variety of osters can be ordered. I tied the small, excellent BB Boudeuse No 5. Service is friendly.

Yelp
The crispiest most delicious fish and chips I ever did have! I wish we didn't have fancy dinner plans a few hours after dining here or I would have ordered the whole menu. Can't wait to come back to eat more. The place is a bit cozy (crowded) but it's worth it to dine in. Service was warm and friendly!

Yelp
Took my husband to Norway for the second time to visit my family, and he really really wanted to try Norwegian fresh fish! So my childhood friend recommended this place. It's very small and inconspicuous but when you walk in you can see why this establishment has been around for decades! The have fresh (literally freshly caught) fish and seafood as you walk in and to the right. And right in the front you see small glass aquariums filled with living lobster. Then as you walk slightly to your left you see the restaurant portion. We tried doing a walk-in (highly recommend reservations here!) and luckily got the last spot for two. But believe me when I say this space is SMALL, so I wouldn't walk in with lots of bags or accessories. And it's definitely tough for large groups. They've definitely tried to maximize seating so you're literally back to back to people. But it's a cozy space and I love the wall decor and photos from decades past (I'm talking almost 100 years of history of this place!). They also played relaxing music that wasn't super loud but gave the place a soothing ambiance. Now for the food: we ordered the cod croquettes, the fish and chips, and the fish gratin (fiskegrateng) all to share between the two of us. In one word: YUM!! Each dish came in hot from the oven/stove and oh so delicious! The croquettes were crispy and soft and came with a delicious sauce on top. Perfect for an appetizer. The fish and chips came with two large pieces of cod and were super crispy. In fact, it was a fairly large portion! We did have to ask for extra tarter sauce since we only got one (and they charged 25 kr for it). But overall, I can confidently say that this was the best fish and chips both my husband and I have ever had! Lastly, the fish gratin took about 20 min to come out (they mention it on the menu and the server also told us), and it was piping hot from the oven! It was very tasty but also very filling. Definitely recommend as well. We also had two drinks - a glass of house white wine each, which paired nicely with the cod dishes. It was more pricey than we had expected for two people (about $114 USD), but the food and experience was well worth it. LOVE and will return :)

Yelp
As Norway is known for fish, this is the local comfort spot to get some amazing oysters to get your meal started off right. Although you can't go wrong with any of their dishes, I would say that they are most known for their fish n' chips. They did not disappoint! The meal hit the spot and with this restaurant situated in a little square in the city, I got to do some people watching as well. Lastly, the desert was a nice finish to the dining experience. I got the chocolate cherry dessert that added the perfect end to the meal, and good enough for any chocolate lovers out there needing their fix A friendly and welcoming staff, I recommend this place for a nice lunch or early dinner.

Yelp
Found this place on yelp... well reviewed spot close to our hotel. We enjoyed our meal here. I ordered the seafood casserole, based on the positive feedback. It was on the pricey side, but there was a generous amount of seafood. I have to say that the flavor was fine but not fantastic, but its still a solid option due to the amount of seafood. I also tried some of the fish soup, which I actually preferred. The broth was fairly tangy and complimented the fish well. Also it included a generous amount of fish. I didn't personally try the fish and chips, but that dish looked good too.

Yelp
Oh my goodness! This tiny fish market place is oh so very good. My travel mate ordered the Fish soup & the fish and chips and it was all so very good. I ordered the fish and chips as well....wow, I ate all of my plate (left a few chips). The pickles and red onions such a nice touch and the fresh homemade tartar sauce was the bomb. Loved the service, our wait person was new and very sweet and if she didn't know the answer to our question, she found out very quickly. Several wait staff spoke perfect English. We ordered a bottle of wine to share and enjoyed the ambiance, which is very small space for dining in. Reservations are a MUST, if you are prone to claustrophobic tendencies this place may not be for you, just saying. During the day, the fish market is open for a couple of to-go items. If I lived in Oslo, I would live off the tartar sauce. It was that good.

Yelp
It was our first time at Oslo, Norway and while venturing out into town, we walked through Oslo Street Foods and while that was temping, my wife said, hey let's try this Fiskeriet place as it has a lot of patrons. While we didn't have any reservation, we were seated outdoor within minutes. My wife ordered the salmon tataki for appetizer and wow, the freshness of the salmon along with the punch of the ponzu sauce really made that dish very light and refreshing. For main, she ordered the fresh prawns and again, the shrimps were extremely fresh, chilled and assortment in size. Good because we were afraid all the pieces would be tiny. My son got the fish and chips and he really enjoyed it. There wasn't a ton of batter on the fish and the piece of fish itself was large which was good as you didn't feel like you were eating thinly scraps. He also enjoyed the fries that accompanied it. I had the creamy fish soup and I was initially apprehensive at first as it was about 60 degrees Fahrenheit and the soup would be immediately cold when served. But glad to say, it was piping hot and you can taste the freshness of the salmon, mussels, potatoes, etc. Overall, food was exceptional and service outstanding.

Yelp
Part Fish market and part Restaurant, Fiskeriet Youngstorget is one of many similar concepts found throughout Oslo, the fact that nearly everything served is caught locally that day assuring quality one might expect in a city surrounded by water. Offering a wide selection of fresh Fish and Shellfish by weight, plus a menu that changes with frequency, guests are invited to sit at high tables to slurp Oysters and sip Champagne or to enjoy a Beer with cheesy Fish Casserole or Gratin. Spanning the globe in terms of influence, Ceviche leaning into Peru complete with Sweet Potatoes and Corn, better choices include Bacalao Arancini served with Peppers or faultless Fish n' Chips served piping hot with Remoulade or Malt Vinegar to suit one's preference.

Yelp
Everything about our experience here was great. A really minimal menu of incredible food options that made it easy to choose from, and an extensive yet amazing drink menu. The portions were smaller but the flavours were so rich that it was appropriate. It's expensive but for Norway it's probably averagely price. Highly recommend. :)

Yelp
There is a line but the highly efficient staff turns the tables quickly. We waited about 15 minutes for a table outside. It was a beautiful night and there were heaters for the patio. We took the suggestions and ordered the fish soup and the fish and chips. Both dishes were delicious. The fish soup was light and delicious. The fish and chips came with a big piece of fish and crispy fries. Our server was quick, efficient and knowledgeable. One of the other tables had several questions about the beers and the oysters and she made wonderful suggestions. I highly recommend this restaurant. We didn't feel rushed even though they were slammed. The service and the food are wonderful.

Yelp
MAKE A RESERVATION online. We waited for over an hour without a reservation. Decided it was too cold and we had to leave. We later learned you can make reservations online for the next day and there is always some availability. We ordered the Fish & Shellfish Casserole, the Fish & Chip, and the Fish Soup. The casserole blew me away. It came with mussels, prawns, fish, and snow crab legs. Absolutely delicious! The fish and chip was crispy and very fresh. But I am used to a little bit more seasoning. It came with this creamy green dip, which worked well to bring more flavor. The fish soup was delicious but compared to the one I had at Seaport Restaurant, it failed to amaze me. It did had a lot more variety of seafood and was good in its own way. Highly recommend this place! Quick busy and packed!

Yelp
What can I say.. the seafood is as fresh as it gets. I ordered the seafood combo and the fish and chips.. the batter was light of the fish and the seafood bowl was amazing. Rhe shrimps were so sweet. Place is small so I suggest a reservation. Service is excellent

Jule O.

Yelp
Best fish and chips I've ever eaten!! Limited seating at this very popular restaurant Reservations are a good idea! Without a reservation, the staff was super accommodating and were able to squeeze the 4 of us at the bar. The creamy mussels were a five star dish! The orange wine was suggested by the bar tender and was a great complement to our meals.

Yelp
Amazing fresh fish and chips. Wait staff was kind. Adorable place. It was clean and decorated nicely. Small, so I recommend getting a reservation.

Yelp
For a super delicious fish meal, Fiskeriet Youngstorget is the place! I was torn between ordering the Fish Soup vs the Fish & Chips and ultimately decided to get the latter since that's what I was feeling. Yes, it was super delicious, especially paired with a local brew on tap. If I'm ever back here, I will definitely get the Fish Soup because Norwegian Fish Soup is the truth! I've had it at other locations, but not at this local eatery. This establishment is also a fish shop so you can get a nice warm meal and afterwards purchase fresh fish to bring home and cook later. I'm a fan!

Yelp
Somehow it always rains when I visit Oslo. This time was no exception. I can't remember if I've been to this spot before or saw it on one of the food shows. I arrived around 6:30 on a Monday. There was a short line waiting for tables as only 1/2 of outdoor seating (covered) was available given continued chance of more rain. Cozy inside with a mix of high top and regular tables. I asked for a table outside as it was quite warm inside. Started with a Frydenlund (local) Pilsner and Creamy Fish soup. Pils was light and refreshing on this warm summer evening. Soup had a lighter cream and had mussels, salmon, cod-excellent starter and could be a meal if not very hungry. For main, ordered what seems to be their most popular dish-Fish and Chips. One of the best that I've had. Lightly fried so not greasy with a thick batter coating the light and flaky Cod. Remoulade was excellent! I almost ordered the Croquettes and saw an order at another table and they looked good. A few tables ordered the Fish/Shellfish Casserole & Fish Burger. By the time I got my main dish, they were full, busy and they had a queue waiting for a table. Service was affected but I liked the hustle and adjustments they made given the peak. Don't miss the Fish n Chips!
google avatar

Rolando N.

Yelp
Simply the best fish and chips in Oslo. Perfectly battered with a nice crunchy crust on the outside and a flaky Cod on the inside. The accompanying fries and tartar sauce are equally as flavorful. It's that good. The seafood soup is also very delicious. Nice mix of seafood and a very tasty, creamy broth. Oysters and everything else was spot on fresh. Their online ordering system is a bit clunky and needs some refinement but otherwise this place is a must stop for seafood aficionados. Service was friendly and prompt.

Cromaglass C.

Yelp
What more can I say a fishmonger that also has a very small restaurant, equally very fresh seafood. The service was top notch and the food was fresh and oh so very good. Tip would be to make a reservation the day before as it is a very popular spot.

Aloosh D.

Yelp
The best fish I've ever had! Definitely recommend. The sauce and fries were very delicious as well.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Definitely recommend this place. They were pretty short-staffed, but once we were seated, service was good (just a bit slow). The food, though, is top-notch. My fish and chips were fresh and delicious! The fish was so tender and flaky, and they don't over-do it on the batter - it was light and crispy and perfectly salted. I had fish and chips at several different restaurants in Oslo, and this by far was the best. The fries were fresh and hot, and I really wanted to come back for more. When we were ready to pay, instead of waiting for the server to come to us, we just went inside (we sat outside) and let them know we were ready, and the server came over quickly. 10/10 will go here again.
google avatar

Ina F.

Yelp
Great little local spot for an unassuming meal. They also sell fish here so the seafood is so fresh. They quickly run out of dishes and we were lucky enough to nab the last set of fish cakes. They were absolutely phenomenal. And ever since I returned to the US, I've been trying to find gravlax like this with very little success. Stop by if you're in Oslo. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
We arrived today after a long train ride from Bergen. We were craving fish and chips, they were wonderful! The dining area is small and was too cold to sit outside so we sat at the bar and watched the food come out, the mussels looked great too. It will probably be our dinner tomorrow night if we can get a table.
google avatar

Paul M.

Yelp
The shellfish soup, bread, and whitefish burger were all delicious. You can dine with great views of Bergen. Service and ambiance all exceeded our expectations.
google avatar

Claude P.

Yelp
I literally went to McDonald's after. Mediocre food, small portions unless you get the fish and chips, non existent service. This place is clearly a tourist trap or for people who are pretending they're hipsters. I was so disappointed.

JayNikki R.

Yelp
Amazing! Fish soup and oysters were the best I've ever had. Staff was kind and professional. Made reservations because the food is outstanding however the restaurant is small. Paid $200 for my wife and I but it was well worth it. Quality and quantity of food was 10/10!
google avatar

Chuck R.

Yelp
Highly recommend this restaurant. Everything was fresh and delicious. They were out of the Norwegian oysters, so I had two of the French oyster selections. Fantastic! The oysters are kept live in the restaurant, so you know they are fresh! For the entrée, I had the fish soup. Amazingly good! Perfect meal. The waiter (regretfully, I don't remember his name) was exceptionally helpful. I'll be back! Tip: get there early. The casserole requires time to cook and they only prepare enough for the shift.

Ally X.

Yelp
Very good fish soup, roe snack, and oyesters. Would highly recommend. Booking process was easy.

Yelp
Absolutely one of the best restaurants in Oslo. My partner and I flew in from NYC and was looking for Norwegian style dinner. We found Fiskeriet on Yelp based on good reviews and they were right! It's a small seafood market/restaurant, but cozy and felt welcoming. Our servers are wondering and they recommend a few things. The fish soup is a must! Follow by oysters, seafood casserole, sashimi and a Norwegian dessert. 10/10, must visit when you are in Oslo!

Yelp
This was my first meal of this trip and, if this was a sign of how the trip would go, I knew it was going to be great! This restaurant was excellent! It's right across a plaza with inside and outside seating. The inside looks almost like a little market, with a few high tables, and all the windows below the counter with fresh fish, vegetables, drinks, and more. The outside has the vibe of a French Café, where you seat to enjoy your drink and people watch. We chose outside. It was a cold night and they had heat lamps to keep us warm. We started with a couple of local beers they had on tap and while they brought those our we studied the menu (they have English version). They specialize in seafood, so if you are not a fan or allergic, stay away, otherwise make sure you bookmark them and make a point to go there when in Oslo. As soon as I saw the mussels on the menu I knew I had to have them. They didn't take long to bring my dish out and I was salivating with the smell and the look of it. You could tell the mussels were fresh, all perfectly opened when steamed and in a delicious creamy and flavorful sauce. On the side were the fries that we just heavenly when dunk in that sauce. The combination of flavors and textures in this dish was just perfection! I wish I could have it again right now. The fish soup was equally outstanding, served with toasted bread to dunk on the broth, and filled with mussels, salmon, fish, and more. Service was fast, friendly and prices were reasonable. Fresh food and exquisite flavors, made this one of my favorite finds of the trip.

Yelp
Incredible delicious seafood. Inside is a little stuffy and crowded and service was a little slow, but the food is so delicious and the menu is well done so i would recommend to all.

Ray S.

Yelp
Amazing fish and chips totally worth it. Cute place. Best to reserve in advance. Great for lunch.

Yelp
I was traveling in Scandinavia and was in search of a great fish and chips place ... Yelp to the rescue! Fiskeriet is a solid yes for delicious seafood in a casual, no stress environment. The staff is very nice, the seafood is delicious. I had the fish and chips (as planned) and they were fantastic. The fish came out hot, the cod meat was flaky and super fresh. Could not have asked for better. Thank you, Yelp!
google avatar

Jack M.

Yelp
Came here on recommendation from Anders Husa and it was a great idea. I'm reviewing the fish and chips. The crust on the fish was the best I've ever had. There was just enough sweetness and chewiness. The crust was thick. It was chewy. It was just incredible. The fish itself was good, but in parts it was a bit overcooked, likely due to the fact that it was not an evenly cut piece, so bits of it were thinner and exposed to too much heat. That said, at its best points, this was an incredible bit of fried fish. It's up amongst my favorites and should be on your list in Oslo.

Yelp
What a find. Well to be fair, I saw it had good reviews on Yelp so we were going to walk by it anyway. We stopped in last night looking for a nice but convenient dinner. When we saw a table open out side facing the park, we were pretty sure we found out spot. We couldn't understand the menu At first, so I was using my google translate app. It was working ok, but the waitress chuckled and switched the menus ok for English. Far easier. We were quick to order some beers. Then followed up with mussels and a fish soup. We sipped our beers and looked out over the little sausage in front of us. It was a great spot to people watch and enjoy the pints in there. The food came out quick enough, and was clearly right from the kitchen. The mussels were good, and the soup was magnifique. I got every last bit. We couldn't have found a better spot to eat and relax.
google avatar

Cindy W.

Yelp
Fish soup was sold out by the time I arrived (8:10pm) so I opted for the fish & chips. The portion was generous and it came with some pickled onion and cornichons (perfect balance). The breading for the fish & chips was crispy and crunchy, but it was nothing out of the ordinary. I have definitely gotten better fish & chips in London. Also, the service here was very slow and I think one of the servers was new. She seemed confused about bringing out the orders from the kitchen (I sat right by the bar), and when I told her that I needed a seat for 1, she told me to just wait even though there were bar seats inside. She was definitely not a multi-tasker!
google avatar

Mark W.

Yelp
Service was good, and the food was very good. Enjoyed the quaint atmosphere of the restaurant that served fresh seafood.
google avatar

Rae S.

Yelp
Was a great place to grab soup, the only reason it isn't A 5 star was because of the lack of awareness on the ambiance. Seemed like it was an off day, the music kept stopping, the chef loudly argued with the waiter, a glass shattered, and he mistakenly put my meal to go then had to have them replace it for there. Beyond the minor annoyances that are likely a one of bad day, the soup was delicious, a little light on the seafood inside and a bit of a heavy cream so very rich and difficult to eat the whole thing but worth it. They bring out incredible bread to dip in the soup. Yum!

Yelp
I had read that this restaurant was good, so, when the husband and I just happened upon it, we figured we would give it a try. There was a decent line, but it moved quickly. We sat at the bar. I ended up getting a seafood pasta and he got the fish and chips. The pasta looked really good, but I was a bit disappointed because the seafood was pretty minimal... It wasn't super inexpensive, so I expected there to be more seafood. Additionally, the pasta had a very mild flavor. The husband's fish and chips were tasty. The decor in the restaurant was cute. I think you could do worse in Oslo, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.

Yelp
I have to say that I had a somewhat high expectation going here and perhaps set myself up for a disappointment by doing so. We got there a little bit after 1pm, so it was passed the lunch rush I guess..the restaurant was empty and we were the 3rd customers there. Following people's tips on Yelp & Trip Advisor, I was to order my food to go to save money... Afterall, the prices were already pretty high, so saving some money was certainly something that was appealing to do! We ordered the fish and chips, the Bacalao, the fish soup and 1 piece of the fish cake to go. I then roamed around the store checking out the fresh seafood and other stuff they had at the store. The food was ready within 10-15 minutes and we sat at one of the benches outside to eat. The fish and chips: the fried fish was a bit greasy and I had to agree with what most people said about the fish was small and it was a lot of the (greasy) breading though it was crispy...you get one piece of fish per order (cost almost 20 USD). The flavor was just so so, without the tartar sauce it would be very plain. I've certainly had lots of better fish and chips. I did like the tartar sauce. They put capers and the sauce was garlicky. It was delicious. Hubby preferred the American tartar sauce (mayo and relish) though. The chips were crisp but also a bit greasy. The fish soup was delicious and the portion was pretty filling. It came with two slices of bread that was really yummy to dip into the broth. The broth was light but yet flavorful and not fishy, even my non-seafood-lover hubby liked it. The fish soup had some pieces of white fish (i think it was cod), carrots and mussels. If you decide to come here, I recommend getting the fish soup vs the fish and chips. The Bacalao was not my cup of tea. The fish itself was pretty bland (maybe the type of fish) and did not have enough flavor. The tomato based sauce/broth was too tomato-bellpeppery to eat as soup. Eating it witht bread helped but Perhaps it would have been better if it was served with rice/pasta and not too much sauce/broth. The fish cake had some small bones so watch out. It was seasoned well (not too salty) but it needed some kind of sauce (we use the tartar sauce vs the mayo that they gave) otherwise a bit boring. We spent about 500 NOK for the food. Pricey! If you're a tourist, this place is not a must eat.

Jill A.

Yelp
Excellent food and wonderful service. So good we went back the next night. Fish and chips, seafood soup, seafood casserole wonderful! Sat outside and it was fun and relaxing.

C. K.

Yelp
Below average really... just like everyone says must make reservation otherwise you will wait. And even with a reservation you will sit on top of each other, it's a small place. Food is ok, nothing too fancy! Fish and chips batter was salty, shrimp was soggy and was also salty. Also ordered the mussels, nothing extra ordinary, there was hardly any soup in it. Service is terrible, we waited about 30 min for food, and table arrangement is so bad everyone keeps bumping each other. There are better fish places in Oslo.

Ryan K.

Yelp
Was recommended by our hotel as a great fish spot. Coming from Seattle, another great seafood city - I would rate the Fiskeriet meal as 'good' but not great. The service was abysmal - our server forgot half of our order and while they corrected quickly, our late food ran up against closing time and it was clear staff were in a rush to leave. Super awkward.

Martin N.

Yelp
The food was great (seafood casserole and oysters, good choices) as was the table service. However when we arrived the inside was empty, so we asked for a table for 4 but we're told it was just for 4 people. But 5 mins later they sat two other tourists at the we'd requested table.

Yelp
Second day in Oslo and found this place. Dryden Pilsner, Oriental shrimp appetizer, and the Pipervikas Fisketallerke was fantastic with great flavor. Just added to a great day in Oslo

Yelp
Delicious seafood! Great shellfish, you won't go wrong here. Was recommended to us by many of the locals.

Yelp
I came here for lunch during my layover to Prague. We took the train to Oslo center to eat and came across this place in a mini shopping center. I got the sashimi special- SUPER FRESH FISH!!! My friend got the mussels, I had a bite and they were really good too- flavorful! The staff was super nice, patient and spoke English. Average prices for Oslo I believe...$20 USD.
google avatar

Lai P.

Yelp
I had my best meal here during my entire Scandinavia trip. This place is a small seafood store, with a kitchen, and small siting area. I've had the best langoustine here!! It's so fresh and sweet. I ordered the seafood plate, that also comes with mussel soup, small shrimps, and the best langoustine. It costs about $50, but well worth it!! My friend ordered the fish and fries, was ok too.

Sebastian F.

Yelp
Very expensive place ! The fish is fresh the portions are small . The fish and chips are good the amount of French fries was minuscule. Worth a try but be prepared to spend a lot .

Janice S.

Yelp
This is a restaurant and a fish market. I had the king crab legs and my sister had the fish and chips. Both excellent and well worth it.

Yelp
Seriously, the Brits should come over to Oslo and learn from the folks at Fiskeriet how to make good fish & chips! In fact, I've lived in London now for almost 5 years and I've only had fish & chips 3 times...because even at the hyped up places, I don't like it: either the chips are too big and mushy or the fish is way to oily. Then I came to Oslo last week and my colleague took me to Fiskeriet and said that this is the place where you would get the best fish & chips. Well, I thought, let's give it another try...and I am convinced now: I loved the chips (I have a feeling they were seasoned with something else than only salt,; and I liked that very much) and I thought the fish was just the right consistency: crispy outside and flaky fish fillet inside. The accompanying sauce (not sure if it was tartar sauce, it was actually more greenish), was also a delight. The place itself is a combination of both fishmonger and fish "fast-food" restaurant. There's a bar and people sit around it and eat and drink. And there's a few other hight tables with high chairs. Aside from fish & chips, I saw other people eating mussels, oysters and the fish soup of the day...it is definitely a popular spot and I can recommend a visit.
