As wedding photographers, Fita Preta is one of our favorite locations. We were impressed by the main building and all the recovered spaces show excellent taste. Everything is visually beautiful, from the building to the vineyards, to the ceremony site. It is reminiscent of the Tuscan landscape. Quite spacious, therefore versatile for all types of weddings. There is a lot of sun exposure during the day but it is at the end of the afternoon that it shows its full potential. Be aware of the hottest time of the year! We are in the heart of Alentejo and temperatures rise immensely. There are plenty of options for ceremonies and alternative plans according to weather conditions. However, dinners in the main square, with the illuminated facade and string lights, are incredible. At the wedding we attended, there were even guided tours of the winery for guests, which is always a good plan to learn a little more about the wines and a way to entertain guests at the cocktail. We were extremely well received by all the staff at a very well-organized wedding. In short, a highly recommended place!

Great place to stop for a wine, you have to book in advance but you can also buy a bottle and have a nice time there.

We had a wonderful wine tasting that was made extraordinary by Caterina’s knowledge, enthusiasm and outstanding communication skills. Her capacity to convey so much succinctly is admirable and we couldn’t have been more delighted.

Spetacular! 10 out of 10! The experience at Fita Preta was spectacular, and yes, it is an experience indeed, both the visit and the wines! First thing: it´s an adventure to reach the place, you will have a huge gate opening for you, a road to reach the winery and when you realize you’re surrounded by vineyards and a palace is waiting for you at the end of the road. Just fantastic. Once you enter the winery, it has such a great environment. Nice music, friendly staff, tables to get settled in, it´s like such a fancy and modern wine bar in the middle of nowhere. We were, welcomingly, received by Sarah and Gonçalo, two amazing people, so friendly and happy towards ourselves and towards themselves, which makes you feel so comfortable there. We had the opportunity to try several wines, you may purchase the wine by the glass, and you may try whatever you want while being served such a nice cheese platter. Sarah guided us through an amazing wine tasting, explaining all technicalities about the wine production and the grape varieties as well what to expect when trying each one, it was mind blowing. We also had a guided visit with Sarah, she explained the history of the place, how wine was produced there both red and white and answered all the queries we had, and after the visit he had the opportunity to try more wines and have a guided tasting with Sarah. It was fantastic. Plus, it´s a pet friendly winery, while we were in there, there was a group with dogs and the dogs were playing outside, super cool! I would not hesitate to recommend you visit Adega Fita Preta, we had visited other places in the region, and it was not a nice experience, Fita Freta, in its wine and staff, saved our trip to Alentejo. Strongly recommend it.
