I'd give ZERO stars if I had the choice. The 'customer service' was the absolute WORST I've ever received. We booked our 400$ room for one night. We were told our check in would be between the hours of 2-6 but when we arrived at 2pm, we were greeted with a handwritten note saying 'EMERGENCY!!!!!! Will return at 4:30pm!!' Our afternoon plans were pretty much spoiled due to this. When we finally were able to check in, the woman in charge tried to completely brush past the check in fiasco by flippantly mentioning a "quick errand" and became short and quite rude when we pointed out the unprofessionalism of her timings, saying "no one EVER checks in that early!!!!" ........ as if WE were at fault for showing up on time. She was short with us, pointing out "you're obviously annoyed" at me because while she was showing us around, I was quiet. How uncomfortable. Who does that?? . We pointed out the ridiculousness of the situation but she would not back down. Fine. We had paid for the room so we were stuck with it- might as well enjoy Charlottetown. And we did, until we returned to our room. Personal items had been taken from our room and when I called down to the front desk, the 'innkeeper' was extremely aggressive- immediately threatening to call the police! I obviously called them myself and filed a report (my 20+ year military husband and I aren't exactly known for lying or or causing trouble so I wasn't concerned). The constable mentioned right away that no other call had been received about the incident so it just goes to show the innkeeper was full of it and we had clearly called her bluff.
I would absolutely *******NOT RECOMMEND****** this sham of a bed and breakfast. I sincerely hope the innkeeper sees this review and feels ENDLESS SHAME for the GODAWFUL experience she provided us with..... SHAME ON YOU, FITZROY HALL.
