Five Bells Restaurant

After a long day we had some good food : the lentil soup, babaganoush, fresh warm bread, spring rolls, shrimp and steak! All coming at a fast time and tasted fresh.

The place is nice and cozy, light and music is quite. During my visit the place was almost empty, we ordered the beef with mushroom sauce and chicken with mushroom gravy as well, both were good, staff are friendly and decent. However when I was handed the drinks menu I noticed they mainly serve alcohol, so unfortunately I won't be going back, but overall was nice experience.

This place has good reviews and that inspired me to go there. It is a charming restaurant with a nicely classy feel about it without being overly formal. The atmosphere was relaxed and informal, they played relaxing music which at times was accompanied by a flautist and the service was very good. The food was very good, as was the accompanying wine and beer. For couples this could be a nice, romantic night out. For families, or a group of friends this would also be a delightful venue for a meal in a nice setting with a 'piano bar' style ambience, calm, charming and comfortable. This is a place I would go back to with no hesitation. The menu is interesting and on my next visit I will aim to try something more unusual.

We had a slightly disappointing meal here. The beef dish was supposed to be rare chargrilled beef sliced and served at the table. The dish that arrived was very thinly sliced beef, which was massively overcooked and had been sliced before cooking. There was also a football game being displayed on a number of screens around the restaurant which did not enhance the atmosphere. Smoking in restaurants also takes some getting used to in the 21st Century.

One of the best places where you can have a nice meal , drinks and nice clientèle. One of the oldest places in Zamalek. Old stylish but very nice

The last time I was there, it was almost 30 years ago. The place totally changed, the outdoor is great, but my preference was the indoor. People were great, welcoming, friendly, and enjoyed the time pretty much. Remembered also a few old stories that I wouldn't tell in public. Overall experience was 👍

Great family lunch. Mashwi was tasty. Service was attentive. Enjoyed the singer for entertainment. Inshallah will go again upon my next trip to Cairo

Beautiful restaurant and great food. The waiters were kind and respectful but I am giving three stars because the waiters’ captain was pushy and rude demanding a tip even if the service is included in the bill.
