Five Borough Food Hall JFK Terminal 4 - Review - JFK Airport - New York - The Infatuation

"For a quick meal that doesn’t come out of a Hudson News refrigerator, the Five Borough Food Hall is a solid option. There are a few stalls where you can pick up sandwiches, taco bowls, and gyros, and you can also grab a quick cocktail at the bar overlooking the bustle of people jogging by with their roller bags." - Anne Cruz

Next time I’d rather fly hungry. $32 (after tax) for a MINI (literally a mini container) “Greek salad” with “gyro meat”. Wilted lettuce and a mini scoop of tomato, cucumber and feta with a few micro slices of paper thin pale gyro meat. Despicable.

It’s not beautiful but it was super fast! Ready in 90 seconds. The guest in front of us had a hard time using the kiosk to order and the woman working alone came out to help him. He yelled at her and was rude as anything because he didn’t know what he was doing, literally screaming in her face and she was STILL SO POLITE BACK TO HIM! Rushed his food out to him. 5 stars for that. It was $13 for a breakfast sandwich but it was enough for us to split and it has cute little grill marks on it. Two egg patties inside and a ton of bacon. I wished it had more cheese but they had hot sauce and everything there so it was fine. Super quick and easy with a great woman working the stand who is super tolerant.

Mango Taco Truck = Seriously The Worst Airport Food Experience of My Life! The Taco Place Served us the wrong mix of tacos, then defended that the customer made a mistake on their tablet system! They were courteous enough to fix the order and give us back what we initially ordered, but it was a sloppy mess of random ingredients all basically thrown with no sense of purpose. We had half of the chicken taco and threw the entire box into the garbage without a sense of regret for burning $19 on crappy tacos. (Hence No Photo of the Tacos) I would rate it 0/5 and just probably grab a beer at the apothecary to force yourself to forget the disgusting food experience at this place. Do Better JFK, It’s supposed to represent USA for what it’s good, not for what it’s bad!

This was my first experience at the JFK Airport in New York. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the Green Goddess restaurant in the food court. While this place has great potential, the food itself misses the mark. The chicken and the chickpeas in the Mediterranean Salad was disappointing and disgusting. These were the main aspects of the salad I was looking for when searching for healthy options in the airport with a relatively decent amount of protein. I liked the Greek dressing and the vegetables that were added, but all together this was a pass. The customer service was okay but could have been better. I like that I could order and pay through the kiosk to streamline the process. However, the employee behind the glass seemed pissed off and unhappy to be there. Overal, I'm disappointed and would not reccomended.

I regrettably ate at Dromos. Paid $28 for the literal worst Greek salad I've ever had. Thinnest and saltiest cuts of gyro and 4 of them. No cucumbers. What the hell Greek salad is missing cucumbers? They need to abort this concept asap.

Mango Foodtruck - seriously the WORST burrito I ever had, completely tasteless. Rice wrapped in a burrito with two slices of chicken, no sauce AT ALL. It was ready in less than two minute and I now understand why.

Here’s the best suggestion I can offer on “Global Sandwich” hidden behind the cute facade of a hippie van - SKIP IT. It was remarkably slow service but here’s what what really got me - the is a nyc airport. Best breakfast sandwiches in the world and this is how we represent it to people visiting or leaving? It was completely flavorless and might as well have been made of wax. And then there was the price - $10. For the worst breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. So - just make sure you grab some food before you hop in that cab to go the airport ;) you’ll be glad you did.

This was the first and last time I will order anything from here. Gross. I paid $15 for this disgusting attempt at eggs, bacon and sausage. The bacon was limp and filled with grease and cold. The sausage was dripping with grease so I had to dry them in napkins. You can see how much oil came off of it. I have never in my life seen eggs like this. And the cucumber and tomato salad is old. I asked for taziki to try and make this edible, but they didn’t seem to know what it was or how to give me some, even though their menu is a Greek restaurant with items that have taziki. Never ever again. Cute concept, and as another reviewer said, if only you tried to make your food real food… it could be a smash. For me… it’s a disgusting mistake. Do yourself a favor and avoid!!!
