Tasty donuts that are a cross between a croissant and donut. We like the filled donuts like Vanilla, Maple and King Kong. I tried the unfilled original Purist but wasn’t impressed. They are located in the Factory at Franklin and are open until late evening but the options may be limited at that time of day. The packaging is very nice and sturdy.

Located in The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee at the corner of Franklin Rd and Liberty Pike, this bakery has delicious doughnuts and cookies with some different flavors as well as some traditional flavors. They sell coffee and cans of cold brew. We had the apple fritter and lemon-strawberry strawberry shortcake doughnuts. We were both pleased with our choices. The staff are friendly and helpful. These are more expensive doughnuts ($5-$6ish each) so go in with realistic expectations. There is seating in the hall outside the bakery that is shared by other establishments. Parking can be difficult to find on Saturday mornings due to the Farmer’s Market outside the Factory.

Google
The BEST donuts I have ever had! We are visiting family and decided to try out The Factory today which is a super cool place, anyway. So when I saw this bakery, It drew me right in. And then… I saw the cookies and the donuts are absolutely HUGE! Say no more… I had to give them a try. We got the purist, cinnamon sugar, strawberry and a sugar cookie. OMG all of them were absolutely incredible. I only wish we lived closer so that I could have these donuts more often.

Google
First of all, The Factory itself is a SUPER cool place to be and this bakery is in the coolest section of the building. But to the cronuts, these 100 layer croissant donuts are top notch. Melt in your mouth, we stuck with the classics to take in their glory.

Five Daughters Bakery, located in The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee, is home to what are probably the best donuts I've ever had in my life. These donuts are so unbelievably good that I boxed them up and drove them all the way back to Canada just to share them with my family. Fair warning—these donuts are highly addictive! If you don't live close by, you might find yourself disappointed because finding anything as good elsewhere is nearly impossible. I believe they said they use a cake batter base for their donuts, and the flavours are unlike anything I've ever tasted before. Whether you're a donut connoisseur or just someone who loves a good treat, Five Daughters Bakery is a must-visit. If you're in the neighbourhood (or even if you're not), do yourself a favour and stop by. I believe they have a few other locations too, so be sure to grab some of these incredible donuts while you can! Ps - I ate the Naple Bacon Donut before I got back to Canada. I couldn't help myself. A solid 10/10. 😋

Google
Wow amazing bakery of the town!! I have never had donuts like here never before. Thanks to all the staff and innovative people. They do put lots of efforts to bring back the single donuts to the plate. Every donut has a unique flavor and you always wants more when you had it once. This place has very nice location too. You can spend a very nice time at this location by exploring other stores too. Must visit place in the town.

Google
I can no longer say their 100 layer donuts are light and airy. The last few orders, they're half the height they used to be. Their dense and have lost their flakiness. When I purchase seasonal flavors, they don't always come as shown in the display case or online. This order the spiced honey cheesecake donut was missing the honey drizzle on top. Not worth the cost like they used to be. Light, airy, and delicious 100 layer Donuts. The triple raspberry is an upscale version of a jelly-filled donut. I can't wait to see their monthly flavors and create a box. The last three times I have purchased seasonal flavored donuts from Five Daughters, I have ben disappointed. The flavors and fillings don't live up to the description. Most recently, there wasn't enough strawberry in the filling and in the topping. There was barely any strawberry cream filling. There's a difference in subtle and just not there. I thought I was eating their plain 100 layer donut, but had to pay the price for a special donut.

This spot is in the Factory at Franklin. Five Daughters Bakery offers a delightful experience for donut enthusiasts. The bakery is renowned for its 100-layer donuts, a croissant-donut hybrid. One standout is the “King Kong,” a maple bacon donut. Jensen is very happy about her find.

Yelp
We were underwhelmed. I had the Maple Glaze and my wife had the Quinn. We also tried the Snowcap cookie. Her Quinn was a bit dry; she rated it a 3. The Maple Glaze was rich; the frosting was sweet and abundant and this somewhat overpowering. The breaded part of the pastry was somewhat dry. The Snowcap cookie was either over baked or just dried it. It was so crispy that I didn't eat more than two bites. It was also lacking flavor. At this price point, I expect a great product, and this was far from that. It felt comparable to what you would get in a grocery store for about half the price.

Yelp
Love the Factory location for grabbing 5 daughters donuts - the staff are always friendly & engaging, the ambiance is epic since it's all been renovated and usually a quick stop even if there is a line.

Elaina M.

Yelp
The Factory at Franklin is a really neat venue to visit. Lots of different food options as well as gift and clothing vendors. But one place you need to stop in at for a sweet treat is Five Daughters Bakery. Their prices are a bit high but I think the quality and uniqueness of their items are worth the splurge. Service has always been friendly and efficient. The store front (which has moved from their original location) is pretty and a bit easier to maneuver through for ordering. There is no in store seating but there is plenty of seating in the food court.

Ruchi A.

Yelp
Super popular spot! The decor and vibe is cute and the service isn't bad! I wish the donuts were a bit warm because they have always been cold when I've gotten them. Overall the flavors are good but haven't blown me away! I'd love to see them express the flavors more so in the donuts rather than in the frosting because the frosting is super sweet so I tend to take a bit of it off but then don't get the flavor profile I should.

Yelp
5 Daughter Bakery at the Factory at Franklin is an amazing spot to indulge in delectable pastries. The modern, minimalist decor showcases an enticing array of freshly baked goods, including standouts like the Pumpkin Spice Latte Doughnut available in both full-size and mini versions. The baked treats are all delightfully sweet, and the friendly service completes the overall great experience.

Yelp
Love love love this place super fluffy, cute yet so delicious, my favorite. I definitely would recommend if you love baked goods

Yelp
Maple Glaze Doughnut: Five Daughters Bakery is a family business in Franklin, Tennessee. The bakery is owned and operated by the Meek Family, which includes their five daughters. Their signature item is known as the 100 Layer Donut, which is a hybrid of a croissant and a donut (basically their version of a Cronut). 100 Layer Donuts take up to three days to make and once cooked, they're rolled in sugar, filled with cream, and topped with a heavenly glaze. Seven staple flavors are offered year-round along with limited time flavors that change from month to month. Unfortunately, I could not visit the bakery myself, but my parents were nice enough to bring me some doughnuts after visiting my brother in Nashville. The Maple Glaze Doughnut is rolled in sugar, infused with vanilla buttercream, and topped with maple glaze dusted with cinnamon. Taking my first bite I was immediately impressed by the thickness of the doughnut and how sweet the maple glaze was. Texturally, the outside of the doughnut is crisp and sweet while the interior is chewier. After my second bite, I encountered plenty of vanilla buttercream lurking inside the pastry. I'm a tough customer when it comes to doughnuts that are supposed to be "packed" with filling and are not (Stan's), but it's safe to say Five Daughters Bakery knows what they're doing. The vanilla butter cream is a little difficult to see in pictures because of the light color, but trust me, there's plenty of it. Their buttercream frosting was incredibly rich and reminded me almost of butter. It does balance out nicely with the super sweet maple flavor though. Doughboy approved. *Also, great customer service. I emailed them a question about nutritional information and not only did they provide me with it, but they also replied the same day (Thanks Ronnie Meek!). Unlike other businesses that sometimes take weeks to respond (The Cheesecake Factory). Doughboy_Food_Reviews

Yelp
Loving the new 5DB space in The Factory, very bright and open. Service is consistently good. Those behind the counter are welcoming and not pushy despite usually having a line. I went in specifically for the orange quinamon roll and carrot cake 5 layer donut. Both were delicious and I really enjoyed the cream cheese frosting and light carrot flavor of the donut. Hope the quinamon rolls stick around.

Yelp
Oh my goodness!! How many ways do you say YUMMY? I was visiting Franklin TN for a wedding. My job was to help put the brides flowers together. I thought what a treat to take doughnuts. So I researched bakeries and found Five Daughters Bakery. I went there and at first I was oh boy I'm not gonna find it cuz it was located in a factory being renovated but eventually I found it. The atmosphere was darling. The employees were all so helpful describing things. Thank goodness cuz at first I was a little overwhelmed. Needless to say the doughnuts were the biggest hit!! Definitely recommend to everyone

Dakota L.

Yelp
Best donut shop (probably) on earth! Highly recommend making room in your trip (if you're near the place) to get some donuts

Matt C.

Yelp
How can you not like this place!? Once you get past the initial sticker shock when you see the prices, you get reeled in by the magical selections. The service is usually good, albeit many of them appear pretty tuckered out...probably from the early morning hours. The ambience is upscale diner-ish, and they have certainly paid attention to all the minutia when it comes to aesthetics. The only minus in the hole equation (get it...donut hole), is the coffee. Not that it's bad, but it's not great either. We'll be back!

Ryan E.

Yelp
If you're going to eat a donut please make sure it is from Five Daughters. Hands down some of the best donuts I've ever eaten. Will put anything you think you've had in the realm of donuts to shame. Cool little spot in the factory - highly recommended!

Ro W.

Yelp
Cute spot. They have a nice selection to choose from. I ordered the lemon blueberry cookie. Super soft yet crunchy. I wanted to grab another one but I didn't need all of that sugar. Cute spot to take pictures inside. I was able to get in and out. But right after me, there was a line. They stayed busy. Keep up the good work. My cookie didn't stand a chance for a photo.

Chris P.

Yelp
The 100 layer donuts are amazing and perhaps the best I've ever had (seriously)! We ordered 6 and ate 6! I also have to say how wonderful the service was.

Melody K.

Yelp
Ok, we were visiting Nashville and while planning our trip, this place popped up everywhere, in every recommendation. So we went, and it was good. But I do not see what all the the fuss is about. We all (3) agreed that the lemon blueberry was the best flavor.

Kimmy S.

Yelp
Oooofff we tried this location a couple times within the past month and not sure if it's just this location or what but the donut game is off...either some doughnuts are just way tooo sweet or too salty and not as fresh, they kind of have a little sour taste. Nothing taste as good as the gulch location. We usually do not finish the donuts and it's such a waste considering they're over $5 a piece. On the other hand the cookies are amazing! Their London Fog cookie is one of the best cookies I've had there, wish it wasn't a seasonal cookie! I'll have to remind myself just to get cookies here and not the donuts. First time I was here, the girls were wonderful, second time, they were ehh. I don't think they're not trained well for a Saturday crowd.

Sandee L.

Yelp
If you've had Dominique Ansel's cronut, you'll probably be disappointed with the 100 layer donut. I will say it's nice they have more than one (monthly) flavor and don't run out daily! However, the donut itself we found dense, a tad soggy, and the cream inside was very unevenly distributed. We had heard rave reviews of the King Kong (ok), so we got that along with the blueberry lavender (better). Also got a cup of coffee which was lukewarm :( The ladies helping us were very nice and told us the donuts are baked the night before and can last another 24 hours at "pantry temp". Don't refrigerate!

Samantha W.

Yelp
Their gluten-free desserts are awesome. I got the Samoa donut and the Snowcap cookie. It was so tasty and filling and I cannot recommend it enough. The bakery itself is very clean and good-looking. The staff is sweet just like the desserts they sell. The prices are on the higher side but definitely worth it. 10/10 at Five Daughters Bakery.

Rob M.

Yelp
Yes! All in on vegan doughnuts. When you're in Nashville/Franklin the Stove Factory is a must and when you're at the Stove Factory, Five Daughters Bakery is the first place to go. Service is great, prices are good and the ambiance of sitting in the Factory public areas, munching that sticky, gooey, wonderful pastry and sipping coffee is a real treat. Enjoy.

Kisha C.

Yelp
The staff were friendly love the cute pink ambience. The donuts were tasty and pricey but it's worth it

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Located inside The Factory, it's right in the central area. We got the orange quinnamon. It's essentially their normal 100 layer dough but twisted into a popover type shape and with an orange filling and sugar glaze. A couple issues... The dough was pretty much uncooked in the middle. No nice flaky layers, just dense uncooked dough with no layers. Only the outside layer and the top was cooked. The orange flavor also was almost non-existent. They did have some small pieces of orange zest where you could taste the orange when you had a bit but otherwise no flavor outside of sugar. It would have been nice if the glaze was at least orange flavored. Especially for the price at almost $5, this was really underwhelming.

Amy F.

Yelp
Cute place at the factory in Franklin and they have GF and paleo donuts too! They are fairly large donuts that you could easily split!

David G.

Yelp
Love this bakery for FRESH pastries but just came in on a busy Saturday for 2 quinns and got home to find out they were not fresh at all...easy to tell w/ croissant style pastry...they were at least a day old. So disappointing...

Cynthia B.

Yelp
My son sent me 14 assorted flavor donuts for my birthday; 12 were delicious, but the apple fritter & the orange one (that I can't remember the name of, but it was an unusual shape) I do not recommend-the apple fritter was dry & had very few apples in it, & the orange one had no orange flavor at all. The rest of the flavors-lemon, maple, berry, salted chocolate, cookies & cream, etc., were all very flavorful, but so rich I could only eat 1/4 donut at a time. I think they were delivered by Uber Eats, & the delivery was seamless.

kira l.

Yelp
okay, i'm not even a big donut person, but these are SO GOOD! i will always love a good maple donut, and this one was just amazing. these are so filling, and so flavorful. it is such a cute little donut shop located at the factory. i highly recommend.

MinhAnh T.

Yelp
Tried the strawberry shortcake, apple fritter and the Quinn. I was really excited when I saw the Quinn because I thought it was similar to kouign amann! I wish it was served warm but overall tasty pastries! The cashier was very nice and helpful with her suggestions. Super cute place inside The Franklin Factory.

Akshay R.

Yelp
After trying to have Cronut at the original Dominic bakery I got a chance to try it here in Franklin. I felt they have very good flavors of cronuts. They have really different flavors and they tasted delicious. I myself just felt they are over sweet a bit but the flavors are there. The place is also clean and in a cute location. Overall I would reccomend this place for a nice Cronut.

Andrea L.

Yelp
We went here on Sunday because we heard such great things about this place! We got four donuts and they were so good! Definitely extremely filling, but had great taste. We also got a peanut butter and jelly cookie because our eyes are bigger than our stomach, but that was honestly one of the best cookies I've had in my life. We'll definitely be back to try more!

Natalie S.

Yelp
Delicious pastries. Even Paleo pastries! I was very surprised, pleasantly! I would definitely be back next time I'm in the area. They shared the ingredients and made it easy to feel comfortable purchasing from them. It's a walk up location, so not much to say about ambience. Everything appeared clean.

Cynthia V.

Yelp
Coming from a foodie paradise like Houston, it isn't too often that I get jealous of a place and wish I lived there instead. Five Daughters is one of those places - I wish I lived nearby, or better yet, please open a location in Houston! This place is a feast for the senses - the bright interior, the case full of different doughnuts and pastries, the friendly staff, the intoxicating sweet smell...it has it all. I will admit that I went a bit overboard and bought way more than I could eat in a sitting, but I was like a kid in a candy store, er donut store. I had their Purist (vanilla glazed), Triple Raspberry, Huckleberry, and Chocolate Sprinkle 100-layer donuts/mini donuts, the Quinn, a sugar cookie, and a Purist latte. Woof! Like I said, it was an embarrassing amount to order for one but no regrets, the leftovers made great snacks later. Everything I ordered was exceptional - as one might expect, the Purist was the favorite due to its simplicity - how can you improve upon perfect? The staff was so friendly and patient as I took forever making up my mind about what to order. Thanks for one of the best breakfasts I've ever had!

Sharon B.

Yelp
The two bakery items we received this afternoon, were all but inedible. I was told the chocolate frosted donut I ordered was custard inside. It was not. It tasted a little lemoney, but not in a good way. The chocolate frosting was so thick as to be difficult to chew with little to no flavor. My husband's apple fritter was "a lot of dough and a little bit of apple". Both tasted stale. Very disappointing.

karina k.

Yelp
Yummy donuts and cookies and cronuts! Great flavors and drinks also. Seating right outside or at the rest of the mall. Cronuts are amazing. Icing is very good and they are fresh.

Steph H.

Yelp
We order all the things. I would go back again and was super happy with everything include taste, service, and atmosphere. Summer berry crisp was surprisingly my favorite. Surprisingly because maple often holds the key to my heart, but didn't do it for me here. The maple and King Kong both had a cream on the inside that I think it could do without. The maple and the bacon alone were good but didn't dig that extra cream. The summer berry crisp was suuuuh good. Like nothing I would ever order but the gal behind the desk said their jelly was amazing so she convinced me. Mmmmmm. The pink lemonade was also pretty good, coming in second place for me. Strawberry glaze and tart lemon. Bomb. Purist was simple and tasted more like a regular donut. Good but not really what I was looking to get out of this experience. The last donut was cherry pie for hubs. I don't do cherry, but my less food obsessed husband said "it's ok" in his "I'm not obsessed with food" manner lol. The service was suuuuuuper friendly. All with huge smiles and buuuuubbly personalities, even while the very scatter brained family before us took forever to pick as they literally kept getting side tracked in conversation with each other lol I'm only in Nashville for a week, but will likely make a second stop before leaving!

Lisa S.

Yelp
Great donuts !! Appreciate the vegan options we tried - Apple (needed more filling) & traditional glazed (excellent) - our non vegan friends went with their special original one and love it

Shawanda F.

Yelp
Yummy! The two ladies that worked today were friendly. I explained it was my first time and wanted something like a cinnamon roll, she recommended the quinnamon roll! This was really good. The store was clean and organized. Their display of pastries was great as well!

Kevin H.

Yelp
Walked away from ordering two dozen donuts this morning- 3 workers standing around helping a lady take 20 minutes to try and pick 6 donuts - with a line of out the door -line out the door - Factory Location

Kim G.

Yelp
Oh my gooooosh.. Wow, wow, wow! I thought these were donuts. They aren't! They are actually an amazingly light and rich multi-layered french pastry in the shape of donut! Crazy tasty. I guess that is why they call them 100 layer donuts. If these little hubs of heaven can legally be called donuts then I have just found the best donut shop in the world. I just ate a butterscotch donut and it was super luscious. Wonderful white glaze with caramel drizzle topping, super flakey multilayered pastry inside, and the coup de grâce-- lovely flowing ooze of injected butterscoth pudding exploding from the middle layer of the donut. Five Daughters also has more traditionally made yeast raised donuts. But seriously, why try those when you can feast on the nirvana of donuts by having their specialty 100 layer donuts? Why try just one? Yes, you will pay a little more for this decadence. But alas, it is worth it. If you are in Franklin TN area, you must go to the Factory in Franklin and try a specialty 100 layer donut ar Five Daughters Bakery. You will love it. You have my Kim Gentes quality guarantee (I am inventing that just for this place). Do it. Now.

Leslie S.

Yelp
Love the donuts we had. The purist was amazing. The line was served fast! Loved the shops surrounding it and the atmosphere.

Mainor A.

Yelp
Awesome donuts. Eat them fresh. I took two to home and next day they weren't with the same texture.

Terri L.

Yelp
Always a great day when you are able to purchase an allergy friendly donut. Visited their relocated location in the Factory but it was smaller and more congested with a lack of flow like the previous location. Food was incredible, employees were very gracious.

Megan B.

Yelp
Stopped here when checking out The Factory. We didn't stay long, but after one look inside we had to try something. The employees working behind the counter were super friendly and welcoming, and picking out a donut was a treat in itself. There's so many options! We went with the blueberry lemon, King Kong (maple with bacon) and maple glaze. We all raved about they! I will say these are more of a decadent dessert than a donut, but I loved it and would highly recommend. Such a cute place with awesome treats!

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Hmm... Not sure what the hoopla was about this place. Maybe we picked a bad location or a bad time? We went at 1 pm on a Saturday and got the Strawberry Fields and Cinnamon Crispy Crunch. Neither my husband or myself finished either donut. For $5 each, I thought it would be a lot more tasty - vs just having a sugary topping/inside. The donut felt like it was sitting out a long time. It was not a place I would frequent again.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
We love all the flavors we have tried at Five Daughters Bakery. The Cro-nuts are all delicious! The service is always prompt and helpful, very friendly. Even the gluten free donuts are delicious.

Daniel T.

Yelp
Drove here from Florence, al. Me and wife got 2 donuts a piece. They very good . They was very fast and nice. The place was clean and they have parking around the back or you can order online and pick up in front.

Nikki M.

Yelp
Heard so many great things about five daughters so we just had to try them! We went to the Franklin location at the factory and luckily we went early in the morning because no one was in line. Usually the line is out the door and around the corner! I asked the gal behind the counter if they had an allergen menu since I have to avoid soy for my daughter. And to jk surprise they did. They assisted me in choosing the perfect soy free donut! Needless to say we had a delicious treat and I would definitely recommend and go back next time we are in Nashville!

Brittany S.

Yelp
Literally SOOO good! I will be driving back from Louisville just to have these again. We arrived around 8:05 on a Saturday and the line only took about 10 minutes. The building the bakery is in was under construction but we took our food to go so the noise wasn't a bother. The bathrooms in the facility are notably beautiful- very unusual for public places!

Elle D.

Yelp
This is a cute, little quaint spot in downtown Franklin. It's like a little cottage for tea and bakery items. It's cutely decorated, and they offer a variety of teas/coffees and lots of sweet goodies. The staff is always friendly and quick to give you the order. This is the perfect spot for a little get-together with a friend or relative. However......the desserts are just not that great. I've ordered about 6 things now, trying different things. I have just not really enjoyed any of them, minus the almond croissant (which is lovely). We tried the gluten-free cupcake, which the cake part was surprisingly good, BUT the frosting tasted like plain Crisco with no sugar or sweetness at all. I'm HOPING this was a mistake and not the typical frosting. Frosting is gluten-free in nature, so it doesn't need to taste like a spoonful of crisco. While we were happy they offer a GF option, this was really gross. We have also tried the PB bomb, muffins, and macrons. The same thing with the macrons, they tasted odd and not very sweet. I would love to see them update their outdoor space because this could be a darling little spot to sit outside and sip a spot of tea, but now it's a little run-down outside. However, there are some really good things about this place, like the indoor atmosphere, the good coffee/tea, the precious little china tea cups, and the friendly service.

Mew P.

Yelp
It is kind of pricey but their "Quinn" is very unique and delicious which I can consider as a special treatment for myself on some random weekend.
