Tiny but mighty! The coffee quality is top-tier, as expected from Five Elephant. Since there are only a few small tables, it works best as a to-go stop. A sweet little gem in the neighborhood. Love!

Delicious coffee and cakes. We had a filter coffee,a flat white, cheesecake and carrot cake. They were all top notch.really worth the two metros we took to come.

I enjoyed the vibe in this coffee shop. And the staff here is very friendly and nice. Coffee is also great, but the pastry I would say is overpriced. pain au chocolat costs around 4 euros each…… totally out of my surprise

A great spot if you're looking for a quick, no-fuss coffee to go. The space is quite small with very limited seating, so it's not the place to sit and relax for a while. The cakes, however, are absolutely amazing and definitely the highlight here—they're worth the visit alone. The coffee itself was a bit too bitter for my taste, but it gets the job done if you're in a hurry.

The coffee is above average. But after visiting a few times, I noticed something that made me a bit uncomfortable. Each time, there were two white staff members and one Asian barista, and even during busy hours, the Asian barista seemed to be the only one actually making coffee. One of the others was giving him instructions, and the other was mostly just walking around. It didn’t feel very efficient, and it also made me wonder whether the barista was being treated fairly.

I came here on my first visit to Berlin, and was so excited to return again this last time. Their coffee is spectacular, the service is always upbeat and friendly, and this time I tried one of their mini cheesecakes and oh… my… word. The narrow cafe layout could be a little claustrophobic, but if you’re lucky to get a seat by the window to people watch, or outside on a nice day, it’s great to enjoy your coffee there. They also have coffee beans for sale, which I highly recommend.

The best place to drink coffee in Berlin. The quality of the coffee is outstanding, and the staff are not only friendly but also incredibly efficient. Make sure to try the cheesecake — it’s absolutely delicious!

Ordered a ice latte with oat milk for 3.80€ which is cheaper than other places. The taste was creamy and nice but not any different than other coffee spots. If I crave coffee I'd go there if I am close but it's not worth just going there for the coffee. They also offer cakes which I haven't tried

I wish I caught the owner's name but regardless, he and his staff were top notch and very friendly. I came here for coffee every morning for 5 days straight even though there were 4 other coffee spots in between my AirBnb and this spot. That good! It's a small, narrow space but serves great coffees with a variety of pastries and an awesome coffee flavored soft serve. If the owner had time, he would come around to everyone and clear glasses or provide water - just awesome service. A great chill vibe to have your coffee and (re)start your day.

One of my two favorite coffee shops here in Berlin! Their coffee is always delicious, their staff friendly, the outdoor seating lovely, and the cheesecake swoon worthy.

Great coffee! Expensive, yet if you want to enjoy a really good cup of coffee, this is a place to be. We wondered in on a Friday afternoon and had to wait for a place to sit. Full of people, good music (though not for every taste), fast, great service. My husband had filter coffee, I had a cappuccino. Both were really good. Coffee lovers and hipster will enjoy this place. There is no bathroom, though.

Great coffee coupled with amazingly friendly people running the cafe is all you need to make your day brighter in Mitte. One my favorite coffee places in Berlin. You cannot go wrong with anything you pick there, from coffee to pastries...

Five Elephant is a chic, yet cozy cafe on a bustling street - perfect for an afternoon treat! I ordered a cappuccino and slice of cheesecake, which came out small, but filling. I'd recommend visiting the other location near the East Gallery if you're looking for a larger slice. Best cheesecake in Berlin by far!

A sweet cafe on a super cute street in the heart of Berlin. The coffee here was great quality and delicious. Service is open and friendly plus they also have this really delicious granola bar/ disk that's super tasty and quick grab and go.

Very nice coffee shop. I had a coffee and a cheesecake and both were great, the cheesecake was nicely presented. Outdoor seating possible but small shop and a bit uncomfortable seats. Nevertheless, if you need a break and a solid cup of coffee, definitely recommended.

For 3.80€ latte in Berlin, at least a smile would be included? Coffee is good, so thats why Ive come twice, but plenty of other spots with comparable coffee with friendlier service. Plus theres never any place to sit. My review wont affect this place's stream of business, but wanted to express my disappointment in any case. Also, I was given a 5 Elephant discount card as a Mitte worker, but got attitude for trying to use it. Lol, then why have such a loyalty program? ‍‍

Five elephant is a charming almost-hole-in-the-wall coffee shop a short walk away from the Rosa Luxembourg U. The coffee is delicious, the service is quick and pleasant. Perfect for taking something to go while strolling around this cute neighborhood. Given its size, you'll probably be lucky if you find a spot here. And if you do, it's a nice spot for a one-on-one hang out- not for large groups. I appreciated the staff's welcoming attitude, and found that they were happy to tell me about their shops specialties, including its beautiful, state of the art modo coffee machines. Another barista was also fun to discuss the Berlin coffee scene with. I will definitely stop by again whenever I'm in the area.

Came here for an afternoon snack and while I know that they are famous for their cheesecake the ones here seemed different from the Kreuzberg location so I opted for a seasonal fruit cake instead. Was just OK. Interior is absolutely beautiful though and to sit with a coffee would be enough.

Excellent cakes. Don't be put off by small choice. Helpful advice on coffee. If the seating arrangements could be made to feel more comfortable, it would be 5 stars.

The coffee here is very good but the attitude of the staff is terrible. Snobbish and pretentious doesn't go far enough to describe the attitude. These people need a reality check. Yes your coffee is good but stop being a bunch of losers, drop the attitude
