From the exterior facade, it’s has a western/ British feel. This cafe has been around for a while. Went there after lunch nearby… decided to have a cuppa. And the coffee has standard. Smooth and has fruity notes. The Housemade chocolate mousse, Freeze-dried strawberry, Pistachio crust is good. Not too heavy, and good texture/ taste. Will be back to try their hearty brunch/ all day breakfast!

Good coffee, nice food, not too pricey. The avocado & egg toast and the creme brulee with french toast were both very good. Service was fast, but my food came way to earlier than my partner’s. We were told that the creme brulee took 20 min, which wer were ok with, but I think in that case they should’ve brought both at the same time. In any case we were very satisfied and we would recommend the place if in the area.

Five Oars Coffee Roasters in Singapore is a perfectly fine café — sleek interiors, solid coffee, and a menu that hits all the familiar brunch notes. The food is well-presented and competently executed, and the coffee meets the mark for any casual caffeine stop. It’s the kind of place that fits seamlessly into Singapore’s café scene: reliable, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing. That said, there’s no real reason to go out of your way. It’s good, not groundbreaking — more a convenient brunch spot if you’re already nearby than a destination in itself. In short, Five Oars does everything right, but in a city full of standout cafés, it doesn’t quite stand apart.

Had a brunch today and the food was great. The staff were nice and friendly as well, I saw one of the staff even offered water to a customer’s dog as well. Special shoutout to one of the staff, in checkered shirt, her service attitude was very commendable. Definitely will recommend and be back again!

for the portion and quality of food, i’d say the price is reasonable! loved the steak and eggs ($33 before taxes) + Buttermilk Chicken burger ($21 before taxes) (tasted like korean fried chicken) and they have the option to change to truffle fries! super generous w the truffle fries too - the fries were enough for 2 pax honestly. the steak and eggs comes w a sourdough slice too! its not pictured bc i cant tolerate gluten so i asked for it to be removed, hence portion might seem smaller. unfortunately they didnt hv gluten free options available and they also weren’t able to swap it for other sides like tomatoes or mushrooms :( wish they could’ve been a bit more flexible w swapping things out tip: make a reservation in advance! they hv good business so if you hv no reservations, u might need to share communal tables w other diners

I was putting a very high expectation but it turned out a bit of disappointment. Our meals were not key in system which we had waited for 45 mins while we were told earlier that, the table to has to release after 1 hour 30 mins upon seated. Our main course and coffee all served in 10 mins after we raised our concern... The Manager did apologised and offered a dessert & 10pct disc. Appreciate the effort and we totally understand that running a FnB business isnt easy. I can convince myself as 3 stars max for now, as i felt that i could have better time to enjoy my coffee but not in a rush period.

Amazing food, good vibes. Nice place to catch up with friends. Serves wine and interesting cocktails. Quiet on a Sunday. Music is loud, some EDM, mostly upbeat raps or pop culture songs, fyi for those that might get overstimulated easily.
