Five Reasons

Stayed for 3 nights in a double room. The space was nice and clean- low light fixtures. The shared bathrooms were also clean. It is on a busy street, so I heard the U-Bahn, cars, and people outside through the night. Breakfast was ok, and I liked the option of a shared kitchen.

My first impressions of this hostel was relief that it's so close to the ubahn station (1 stop from HBF) and located adjacent to beautiful historical towers in a cobbled street. There are many restaurants and grocery stores in walking distance (a couple hundred meters). The aldstadt is also really closeby, which has many historical sites like cathedrals, market squares and the castle. The hostel itself is really clean and well kept and everything works. There's a kitchen with kettle, oven, microwave, fridge, utensils and cutlery and sufficient seating space for eating. The reception sells snacks and drinks and there is alot of comfortable seating there. There is also a terrace/deck with seating and tables outside at the back. There's a luggage room which is very useful. My room was very neat and clean. The bunk beds were metal framed and sturdy. Each bed has a nightlight, power point and little shelf for electronics or snacks. Each person has a decently sized locker. The showers are one of the best that I've had. They are very spacious, the water is hot and the water pressure from the big sunflower head above is nice. There's also a little rack in the shower for your shower goods. The staff are very kind and helpful with providing guidance and answering any questions you may have. Don't forget to send your selfie to the hostel to feature on their wall.

Honestly the best hostel I have ever had the pleasure of staying at. I stayed for 2 nights. I booked an 8 bed mixed room. The receptionist was very kind. The location is great, right inside the main city walls. It is also in great proximity to the German National Museum. The food here is pretty good, a lot of meh, but it can either be very cheap or slightly expensive considering the restaurant of course. The rooms are VERY clean. They have lockers that need a 1 euro coin to work, but it doesn’t take it, like a deposit. And they let you rent towels if you didn’t bring one. Very nice bonus.

Great hostel! Very friendly staff, central location, nice design, clean, spacious rooms and comfy bed with curtains. Wasn't very social when I was here unfortunately but would stay again

My first stay in a hostel and now the bar is set really high. I super loved it here and will come back!!!!!! Clean, easy to find, great location. Comfy beds. Nothing bad to say

One of the nicer hostels I’ve stayed at for sure. Very clean and modern interiors, with easy and friendly service. Good location, very near to Hauptbahnhof and Ubahn stations - and within walking distance to everything in the Altstadt

I had to check out a day early and had booked a no refund room however as it was only one day and on the weekend they refunded me for the night which was so amazing, the staff were amazing and kind and also very helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were cleaned everyday which was nice, the fridge was a bit packed so it kinda of hard to find a spot a to put away your chilled foods, other than that I love this place the rooms were large and the beds were big and comfortable!! I would definitely stay again!!

One of the best hostels I’ve been to! This hostel had all the amenities I look for when choosing somewhere to stay. As a seasoned hostel traveler, I have a set of standards that I go by for the places I’m staying in. This place met all of those standards and more!

The staff was friendly and I really liked that they had a communal kitchen. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The lockers in the room are only 1 euro and you get it back when you unlock it. My only complaint was that the hostel faces a busy street and it's right across from the U-bahn station. On hot summer nights, you face the choice of either roasting in your room or being woken up by every passing ambulance in the night.

Good place! Location is quite gooda 10-minute walk from the train station and not far away from the center either. The building seems to have been recently renewed and refurbished, so the toilets/showers looked new, shiny and very clean. There are only 2 showers per floor (at least on the second one), and although I didn't have any problem, I guess you may want to be quick for the shower in the morning if you stay here in the high season. There's also a hair dryer. I stayed in an 8-bed dorm and the room was really big and comfortable (not the usual packed dorm with too many beds). There was a table with some stools and also big lockers (more than enough for a 50-liter backpack) with integrated keys (no need to bring or buy an extra lock, it has a coin opening system). Free Wi-Fi with good functioning. Staff was also nice and they are 24 h there.

Five Reasons is an average backpacker hostel. But what we experienced in the night Wed. 17th to thursday 18th September 2015 was distressing. We had booked for two and were told that the hostel is accessible 24 hours. When we arrived by 1 a.m. in the night, the reception was fully lit, same the breakfast room - but we rang the bell - and rang - and rang - and no one shewed up. Nuremberg by 1 a.m. on an ordinary workday it's hard to find something else .... Myszka
