Dear five elements You made my first trip to bali extremely pleasant. I arrived at midnight, was quite tired, they had a meal for me in room. They let me wait till next morning to make hotel payment as i was tired on arrival at night. The healing activities were good and were accomodating to last minute changes. The massages were extremely good. Yana from tarot card inner alchemist reading was extremely good and she really knew what she was doing. Staffs helped me arrange a driver for me to go out buy simcard and take cash from atm, and went for some excursions. Staffs were extremely helpful. The atmosphere was very peaceful and calm. The vegan food was good, was catering to asians who prefered indonesian palete. Would 100% come again for short retreat in ubud.

Dear Sakti Dining Room team, I recently visited your restaurant and truly enjoyed the experience — the place is clean, unique, and has such a charming concept. I really love that you offer so many interesting tea varieties. However, I was a bit disappointed that many of them were not available during my visit. I’ve also heard that you’re planning to create more tea selections made from natural ingredients with wonderful health benefits — that sounds amazing! I hope the project is already in progress so I can try them when I visit again in early November. In addition, I’d like to suggest being more consistent with your menu of the day. As far as I know, it usually includes dessert and soup, but when I asked about the dessert, I received different answers — one staff member mentioned layered cake, while another said banana cake. The same goes for the ice cream and sorbet flavors, which seemed unclear and inconsistent. A bit more coordination on this would definitely enhance the overall experience. Lastly, I’d recommend adding some kind of air freshener or scent solution around the dining area, as the pond nearby had a slightly fishy smell that reached my table. Overall, I really enjoyed my time there, and I’m looking forward to coming back in early November — hopefully with more tea options and an even better dining atmosphere.

I participated in a 7-night retreat that was truly transformative. There was great care and attention to detail in planning my itinerary, and it was based on my retreat goals. During my stay, one of the staff even thoughtfully suggested I replace one of my treatments with a service that would further support me in my healing journey, and I accepted the recommendation. All of the staff, from the front desk, to the healers, groundskeepers, and restaurant, were all very kind and friendly. I'm not a vegetarian. But I LOVED the menu. The flavor profile and diversity of food options was very impressive. I soon developed my favorites that I re-ordered and branched out to try new dishes as well. The chefs truly did an amazing job and should be commended. I can't say enough about how the natural environment, healing services, and staff all worked together to provide the healing, restorative experience I truly needed. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for helping me restore my internal light.

We recently stayed at Five Elements for six nights and it was truly a magical experience. The food and service were absolutely outstanding — every meal was a delight, and the entire atmosphere of the retreat promotes total relaxation. The staff were exceptional, especially Nita and Rita, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. ⭐⭐☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Price We stayed at Fivelements Retreat Bali from 27th to 31st with very high expectations, based on the glowing reviews and the premium pricing. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing and far from what we paid for. Accommodation: We paid approximately USD 5,000–5,500 for just 4 nights, expecting luxury, comfort, and safety. The room we were initially given was completely unacceptable for this price point. The room was located at a corner, felt unsafe and creepy There were insects and flies inside the room, and one night there was a sudden infestation which was extremely disturbing Despite repeatedly requesting a room change, no action was taken for several days The room was changed only on 30th, just one day before our departure on 31st. From 27th to 30th afternoon, we were forced to stay in a room that was absolutely not worth the amount charged. Food: Food was average at best. Limited options and nothing exceptional considering this is marketed as a luxury wellness retreat. Spa & Massage (Most Shocking Part): We mainly chose Fivelements for its spa and healing therapies, and this turned out to be the worst part of our stay. I took the Prema Massage My husband took the Sandy Prana Massage Our child took a normal massage The therapists applied extremely rough and unsafe pressure, with no proper assessment or sensitivity. After my massage, I experienced severe pain in my upper back and front chest area the same day When I reported this, the spa staff casually said “this is normal in Balinese massage” and that the pain would go away in 2 days The pain did not subside even after returning home After medical consultation, I was diagnosed with minor cartilage damage, which the doctor confirmed would take 3–4 weeks to heal, requiring rest and treatment. My husband also suffered severe neck and shoulder pain due to the extremely rough massage and had to undergo physiotherapy after returning home. This is not “normal massage pain.” This is careless, unprofessional, and potentially dangerous practice. It seriously raises questions about: Therapist qualifications Safety standards Quality control at the spa For a retreat that charges such premium prices and promotes healing and wellness, causing physical injury is unacceptable. Final Thoughts: I genuinely do not understand how this place has such high ratings. For the price we paid, we expected professionalism, safety, and luxury—not insects, ignored complaints, and physical injury. This was a stressful, painful, and disappointing experience, and I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before spending their hard-earned money here.

From the minute I walked into Fivelements Retreat, I knew I had made the right decision to spend 3 nights there to integrate after a pilgrimage the week before. Ketut (my wellness consultant) was brilliant at finalising my wellness package and every treatment I had was world class. I joined yoga on the 3 mornings I was there, had a sound bath healing session, reflexology, acupuncture, chakra cleanse, fire ceremony, healing massage and water healing. All of it culminating in a deep reset and rebirth - exactly what I hoped for. I was upgraded to a suite with its own private pool, outdoor bath and shower - heavenly! The food was magnificent with so much attention to detail and all of the waitering staff plus the therapists had been briefed that I was on a low sugar plan. The attention to detail was great and all of the staff I came into contact with, were friendly and helpful. Most of the therapists have been with Fivelements since it opened 15 years ago, are happy to work there and are mindful and professional in everything they do. All in all, I highly rate this beautiful retreat and if you have the opportunity to stay there, grab it with both hands.
