When you arrive at 6pm and the rooms are not ready, and the kitchen chef tells you fish is vegetarian food, then you know something is very wrong. Beautiful place.

Very comfortable room and friendly staff.

We checked into one of the double rooms (budget version) which went for about 900NOK. Beds were wonderful and i slept like a log. TV in the room and several outlets for you charging of appliances. Machine brewed coffee and tea was served 24/7 in the lobby. The breakfast was impressive for a smaller hotell. Overall the hotell is a smaller one and is not recommended for a complete weekend, but would recommend it as a reststop for a long jorney.

Booked a room for two people. Lovely reception, clean room and comfortably sized bathroom. Very comfortable beds. Unfortunately the room was quite cold despite the heating being on maximum - the windows were letting through a lot of cold from the outside. There were no cups, tea, a kettle or spoons in the room but we got lucky with the room being close to the reception in which tea and coffee were available from. Still a bit inconvenient. The breakfast selection was very small, we went to eat around 8.30 and almost everything was empty. Paid 990.- but the room (+ breakfast) value is more around 850-900.

Lovely hotel, well positioned and pleasant. Rooms are ok, what you'd expect at this price range. Library is a very pleasant space. Food was pretty good as was the greeting by reception on arrival. Parking directly out from. My only gripe would be there is no bar and drinks are served from reception in cans.

Very basic hotel, neither fancy or trashy. We were in town during a record warm day - and the rooms have no cooling. Breakfast was also very basic. Location was good for us, as we were just spending a night on a longer trip. Close proximity to E6, and close to the water for an evening stroll.

After our other accommodation options fell through we got a last minute booking at Fjordgaarden with booking.com. ||The room was comfy though small with a nice hot shower. Twin beds which suited my daughter and I. Breakfast was simple but satisfactory,and the scrambled eggs were pretty good, even though they were in a warmer for an indeterminate amount of time.||This hotel was the budget option, and really fitted our needs.||A bit hard to find as the street numbering system is unusual for us,and the signs were understated in the dark. Set back a bit from the road with car park out front.
