I genuinely don’t know how Flagship Amsterdam is allowed to operate a “tour,” because what we experienced was a floating exercise in chaos, discomfort, and disappointment.
First of all, the wait time was outrageous. We stood around for ages with absolutely no clear instructions, no communication, and no sense that anyone running the operation had even the faintest idea what was going on. Staff were milling about looking confused, guests were asking basic questions, and nobody had answers. For a company that clearly does this all day, every day, the level of disorganisation was embarrassing.
Then comes the boat itself. Calling it a “tour boat” is generous, it felt more like a crammed commuter shuttle during peak hour. People were packed in shoulder-to-shoulder, zero personal space, no attempt at crowd control, and definitely no concern for comfort. If you’re claustrophobic, DO NOT even consider this.
And the best part? You can’t even see anything.
The windows were completely fogged up. So while you’re supposedly on a scenic canal tour of Amsterdam, you’re actually staring at condensation and vague shadows. Riveting. Truly unforgettable, in the worst possible way.
