Room 4 view is of the neighbor’s rooftop, not very nice looking, community coffee pot that could be in use at the time you want coffee, shared fridges, has a hostel feel, two separate locks to get in/out, restaurant, Duffy’s opens at noon to 8pm. All rooms are u stairs, think luggage, heavy ice chest, beach chairs etc. Excellent location across from beach and all activities and rentals!

This was the PERFECT place for a girls getaway vacation! Our balcony overlooking the ocean was my favorite spot to watch the sunset and people passing by. The rooms were very clean and the towels were folded to perfection! The backpack beach chairs were great for carrying down to the beach. Alysa, the owner, was absolutely wonderful and very helpful during our stay. Duffy's Restaurant downstairs had an excellent menu (geared towards fresh seafood) and delicious drinks. It is a fun, laid-back atmosphere, and everyone was very friendly.

Nice room with comfortable bed and amenities like beach chairs. Unfortunately two night stay ruined by people blasting loud obnoxious low quality imitation pop techno music outside on the street until past 4am. Perhaps it was Bar La Nasa or just some local dirtbags, but bad enough i’ll never stay in Esperanza again.

Our room was lovely! Very clean and a good amount of space. We enjoyed the side semi-ocean view balcony on room 4. We had some trouble with our door code but the host was very responsive and left a key for us to use instead. They had towels, chairs, and a cooler in the room for us and a cold water cooler as well as a community fridge. We stayed Monday-Thursday and it was pretty quiet at night. Our room was very bright in the morning. Overall loved the room and location right on the strip! Parking was easy too

We chose this accommodation because it appeared to be in the middle of everything and it was. We were able to walk to beautiful beaches and to the bio bay tours. Alyssa and Matt have thought of everything a guest could possibly want. First of all, the room was furnished with plates, silverware, cups, beach chairs and towels and some beautiful art. The common kitchen area had coffee, 2 refrigerators to share, a filtered and cooled water source, snorkel items, hammocks, beach toys, etc. They also gave us ice for our beach picnic cooler daily. I have never experienced so many amenities. The view of the ocean from our balcony was perfect and we enjoyed mornings and evenings there. The restaurant below, Duffy’s, had great food and drinks and a cheerful staff. I sincerely cannot say enough good things about this place; the hosts were thoughtful and attentive to our needs and the accommodations were exactly what we wanted and more than we expected. I would highly recommend Flamboyan Guesthouse for your stay in Esperanza.

We loved Room 1 of the Flamboyan Guest House, located upstairs over the fantastic Duffy's restaurant right on the Malecon in Esperanza. You are within walking distance of several great restaurants and the patio provides a picturesque view overlooking the ocean and is a great place to take in the sunsets. The room was very clean and comfortable and pretty. I was pleasantly surprised to find shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hairdryer in the room, as that is not always the case in these sorts of guest houses on the more remote islands. The private parking in the back was super convenient. We were there from Sunday through Wednesday and while you definitely get a little noise in this part of town, it was quite by 10pm so it didn't interfere with getting great rest.

Friendly accommodation with comfortable double bed, very clean, equipped with several extras such as a super silent air conditioning in the room, including the complete beach equipment like chairs, snorkel gear, cooler bag, beach towels, and very useful the portable beach umbrella, because there are not enough shady spots on the many natural beaches. Coffee is always free to prepare yourself. The large balcony offers a fantastic view directly over the sea. The hosts are very nice and helpful. Right down in the house the restaurant Duffy's offers delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. Small tip: bring earplugs, neighbor's rooster might be still there and like crowing in the middle of the night!

Yelp
Stayed here for a night. It's located in the upstairs of a bar. Easy check-in, Donna (the house manager) is nice and accommodating, this guest house is located walking distance to many restaurants and is literally right across the street from the ocean. We had an amazing ocean view and a cute little balcony where we had our drinks while enjoying the view. Note: Wifi only available downstairs in the public area. This place is about 15 minutes away from where the ferries from Fajardo land. Extra pluses: Keurig machine, air conditioning, beach towels provided.

Yelp
This place has the best view on the island! Located on the second floor above a restaurant (Duffy's) are the units she has for rent. The beach is literally across the street! Our unit was very clean, had a double bed and a twin bed with a private bath. Towels, beach chairs, soaps were included. There was a common area with a mini fridge, toaster, kurig (with coffee/teas), and sunscreens. Donna greated us when we arrived and had the AC running. She had great ideas on where to eat and what to do (there is a binder in the room with even more info). She was very quick to respond to all messages. Wifi always worked. Only downside during our stay was that the AC dripped the entire time. Luckily we had a sound machine to drown it out, but it was very annoying (said she was waiting for a part to fix, so she knew there was an issue). Breakfast is not provided to guests during off season by Donna, but her AirBnB listing says that breakfast is included (so just make sure to clarify). Would for sure stay here again for the view alone and the location right on the main strip.

Yelp
This place is cozy with a great view from the balcony in the heart of Esperanza right on the malacon. I like the community feel of having a shared kitchen space equipped with a fridge, toaster oven and coffee / tea, but having private bathrooms. The room we stayed in was minimally decorated but well. The malacon is a small stretch of boardwalk right on the water. Being in the front row is awesome & lively. It is understandable noisy to stay above a bar & we were happy to sign up for that because we like to go out. However, one of the nights we stayed it was absolutely ridiculous. The locals were parked literally in the street with the most obnoxiously loud music. It literally was as if we were right next to them because of the thin walls, the echo of the room and because it was SUPER loud & really close. This went on until 330-4am, even after 4 phone calls to the police ( who never came ). We missed scuba diving and pretty much on the next day's activities because we were up until 4am. That being said, it isn't the owners fault but the community as a whole. All in all, this place is lovely. Just be swear of what you signing up for.

Yelp
We stayed one night at the flamboyan guest house. This establishment was very nice! Everything was within walking distance from the guest house which accommodated our agenda. The rooms included a queen size bed, shower, and an AC unit all for 90 dollars. Lastly, the owner was a very gracious woman whom can answer any of your questions. We would gladly revisit this guest house anytime!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here October 4 thru 6th for the beginning of our honeymoon and It was wonderful. Donna was great and helped us with phone numbers for the bio bay and other activites. We stayed in room #3. The room was nice and clean. The shower was huge and plenty of hot water. The balcony was wonderful. We enjoyed sitting out there watching the sun set or rise. We were only planning on staying 1 night and Donna said we might want to stay longer as most people do once they get there. We left there and went to the Condado Hilton in San Juan and Donna was right. We wished we would have stayed on Vieques the whole trip. It was rather hot, but with it being off season we had the beaches and restaurants to ourselves. We will be back, hopfully in the Spring of 2015.

Yelp
I was too tired to take the ferry back to Fajardo once I made it to Sun Bay beach, so a friendly worker at the beach cantina gave me the number to this little hotel. I made all the arrangements over the phone, including payment. I walked to the hotel from the other side of the beach and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful views, and lovely room we got. The room had its own bathroom, shower, queen bed, AC, and fabulous view of the beach and boats. Downstairs was a delicious restaurant and bar. The staff in the restaurant spoke English, and the hotel proprieter also spoke English. It was easy to check out and get a shuttle ride back to the ferry station. Only draw back was that it was a Saturday night, and the street was loud... which was okay since I was on vacation, but it may bother some. Can't say enough nice things about this place. Paid $90 for two people, one night. Totally worth it.
