Me and my friend did a 5 course meal. The quality of their food and service is perfect. Food: It was nice that the meal included drink, soup, 2 main courses and finish it off with dessert. I at first thought the quality of food will be similar to all you can eat sushi place but it was a-lot better. Their sushi was amazing with good quality and it was obvious they put time into making it. However, I would suggest them to add a tea with the dessert. And also add more meat to the meals that are focused on meat only like salmon salad and the duck breast. Service: I enjoyed how the drinks and one of the meal had a mini show with steam and bubble. I also got impressed of how the service was always on time. The server always had an eye in our table. Whenever we finish off the meal he was very polite and on time to bring the next one over. Amazing!

Flame Sushi quickly became a go-to. The fish is super fresh, and their signature torch-seared (aburi) nigiri is the star—silky on top with a gentle smoky kiss, perfectly balanced over warm rice. Rolls are creative without being overdone, and the basics (miso, salad, tempura) are crisp and consistent. Service is friendly and fast, whether you’re dining in the cozy room or grabbing takeout. Tip: get the chef’s aburi selection and a simple maki to compare textures—you’ll taste the difference. Great value, great vibe, great sushi.

absolutely delicious! the service was great, our waitress was really sweet. Highly recommend the Godzilla roll and the spring rolls! we got the 3 course meal and it was definitely worth it. The desserts were delectable, the crème brûlée and the chocolate truffles were to die for.

Everything about this place was excellent. Decor, ambience and cleanliness? 10/10 Service? 11/10 - Katie went above and beyond and made for such a wonderful visit for our first time in Toronto. We did the 5 course tasting menu and oh my goodness, the food was sensational actually. Cannot recommend enough!!

Tried the 5-course Summer Tasting Menu at Flame Sushi for $50 and it was absolutely fantastic! Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavour. The environment was clean with a lovely interior design that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Definitely planning to visit again, highly recommend checking it out before the summer menu ends. (Promo likes end of June)

I tried the 5-course tasting menu and absolutely loved it! The service here is unmatched. I was served by Katie, and I couldn’t be happier with her service. She was so patient in helping me choose the dishes, everything was served on time, and she made the whole experience so enjoyable. You were really amazing, Katie — thank you! I’ll definitely be back.

Google
I’ve been to Flame Sushi three times this year to try their seasonal tasting menu in winter, spring, and summer. The tasting menu goes for $50 with $100 value, so it’s a very good deal for a fun and delicious 5-course meal. There’s plenty of variety on the menu and since it’s seasonal they change the options and keep things fresh. A drink is included with the meal with both alcoholic and nonalcoholic options. The service is also consistently good, with servers being quite nice and attentive. Highly recommend Flame Sushi and their tasting menu for anyone looking to try something new and have a nice 5-course meal without blowing their budget. It’s definitely a fun experience and worth the price!

Yelp
Went for my birthday. They had a birthday special where they really pull all the stops to let you enjoy your special day. Singing, a big chocolate egg filled with treats, and if you bring 4 friends you get the 3 course meal for free . Very worth it!

Yelp
I came to Flame Sushi for my friend's bday, and left with a happy smile. They have chef's menu for 3 course and 5 course for $50 and we all chose the 5 course menu. I had: - peach whiskey crush which was amazing - miso soup - hamachi tataki - nice and light - soft shell crab roll - work of art!!! - Barack chirashi don - the freshest seafood - an array of desserts We all left satisfied.

Yelp
Ive been wanting to visit this place and try their course menu. Finally grabbed a girlfriend and checked it off my list! They offer a 3-course for $38 and 5-course for $50! And they change the menu every season, so there will be new items on the menu. Presentation was 10/10. Some dishes were above expectations. Overall, enjoyed it and will come back!

Yelp
Flame Sushi had a special for TIFF where if you buy a drink, you were able to get $1 oysters. I am always seeking out new buck a shuck deals so I came with a few friends and were not disappointed. The oysters were nicely sized and came out quickly. We ordered a few drinks, though nothing in particular stood out. I also ordered some salmon oshi, which was delicious! The restaurant wasn't busy on a Friday after work, and the service was solid. Overall, we had a good time. I'd come back to try their other specials, as they certainly have good value.

Yelp
They made the most of the place. Making an objectively small area feel open and comfortable with mirrors. I appreciated the effort they put into the menu... many unique item rather than standard fare you see at many other places. Kalbi was OK... flavor was too subtle. One of our favorites was the Snow Dragon roll... the beet sauce didn't taste anything like beets... but this is coming from someone that doesn't like beets. It had a nice flavor and the roasted sesame and garlic played huge supporting roles in making this a great dish. Another favorite of the table was the Salmon oshi... love the torched salmon it releases some smokey flavor. Buttery in taste and texture. Dynamite roll was also only ok... 5 pcs of deep fried roll with imitation crab and shrimp tempura. Service was just a bit on the slow side despite having what seems life adequate staff 3 servers and front of house manager pitching in and 2 chefs on the sushi bar with a non full capacity dining room. They were attentive watching it drink glasses and helpful with menu questions. Overall 3.5 but with some tweaks could be a 4. It's not cheap but not expensive. Almost has the value for flavor equation right.

Yelp
AMAZING! my friends and I went here for their 5 course + 1 drink spring menu for $50/person - everyone in your party has to get it I was satisfied with the food and portion sizes. The only thing I didn't enjoy were the tacos - didn't have much flavor for me. I felt the sauce masked everything. My bf isn't a sushi lover but he's keen on trying this place because of the other options that they have which were executed well imo The service was speedy and friendly, the decor gave off a romantic ambience. You wouldn't be disappointed dining here!

Yelp
Very tasty! I love the presentation and smell when the lid is lifted from their imagined bowl. They have a tasting menu 3 courses with appetizer, main and a dessert for $38 and a 5 course tasting menu which includes a drink for $50. Quality and presentation is great and the price is reasonable. Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Customers can enjoy the spring tasting menu at a more affordable price. Two menus are available ($38 / $50), and each is sure to satisfy your cravings for elevated Japanese food. Overall, I love the vibe, service, and their offerings. My favorites are the chirashi, risotto, yuzu martini, and dessert.

Yelp
I've walked by Flame Sushi many times, but finally got an opportunity to check it out on New Year's Eve. We reserved for a party of 7, and were seated at a table near the bar. We were interested in the tasting menu, which was listed at 50% off for $50. I'm not sure when it is not $50, as many reviews mention the same price. Since we had 7 people, we decided to order as much variety as possible from each course. My favourites were the sous-vide duck breast and mushroom shrimp. I wish there were more mocktail options, but the drinks came out with quite some flare. For a restaurant that seems to focus quite a bit on aesthetics, I was pleasantly surprised that flavours were still up to par (contrary to some other places). At one point we felt like food was coming out too quickly, so I wish they saw the full table and slowed down service, but all was well after we requested that dishes come out after the previous set was completed. At the 'discounted' rate, I think Flame Sushi was well worth its value.

Yelp
Toronto has gotten so expensive, and this is the perfect date night without breaking the bank! You get 5 different courses WITH DRINKS for $50! Here are dishes we've tried in the past and loved: - Blaze seafood tower: you basically make your own hand roll. Super fun and interactive. Fish roe, scallop, shrimp, avocado and salmon - Soy glazed cod: wish this was a bit bigger because it was so tasty, but at the same time I was stuffed at the end of the meal so I guess portion size was perfect - Salmon tataki: yuzu was super refreshing and light - Beef tataki: more soy and sesame flavoured. I enjoyed both tatakis a lot - Sous vide duck breast Drinks: - Night in Sapporo: such a glamorous cocktail that comes out of a smoky box, made to impress - Mocktail: unfortunately all their drinks are premixed and they only had one mocktail option which I found a bit disappointing, even though it was tasty. Think fizzy grapefruit/orange. We were truly stuffed at the end, it was super filling and everything was pretty good. My favourites were the seafood tower, cod, and the tatakis. I also really want to try the sous vide duck breast/roll, and croquettes next time! Great ambiance and a perfect date night deal!

Yelp
We came to Flame Sushi for their set menu deal and got there just before the 10:30 PM last call. They have a $50 five-course menu with a drink, but since we weren't very hungry, we went with the three-course for $38, and it was more than enough. For starters, I had the hamachi tataki, which was fresh and light, and chimichurri gave it a bit of a herby flavour. I used the crispy taro chips to enjoy that creamy guac at the bottom of the hamachi. My boyfriend had the beef tataki, which was tender and truffle mayo drizzled on top and a bit of sweet maple dressing, adding a little tartness to every bite. For mains, I got the spicy salmon dragon roll. It had spicy salmon, deep-fried shrimp, and avocado, with ikura on top and a bit of crisp apple that gave it a fresh touch. I got nothing but happy feelings with every bite of the sushi. My boyfriend had the beef tendon black curry udon, which was rich and filling. The thick noodles soaked up the curry well, though we both thought it could use a little bit more salt to bring out the flavours, but the beef tendon and shrimp tempura on top made up for it. Dessert was a trio- we each got a creme brulee (matcha and earl grey), blueberry panna cotta, and chocolate truffles. We both liked the earl grey one more because it had a stronger flavour, while the matcha didn't really stand out as the flavour was a bit hidden. The place was cozy and the staff were friendly, even though we came late. Good value and decent food, we'll definitely come back when we're hungrier to try the full five-course!

Yelp
Fall tasting menu now only $50 per person!! 5-course + 1 drink Highly recommended Exceptional dishes, highlighted by incredibly fresh seafood and sushi Expertly prepared and beautifully presented, each course showcased chef's culinary expertise‍ Nice romantic interior makes it a perfect date night option AND it's only $50! Includes soup, appetizer, first dish, main course, dessert, and a drink!! Truly great deal

Yelp
Just passed by and gave it a try. Small restaurant and almost full. I ordered the $38 tasting menu and $25 sake flight. Both are good.

Yelp
Came here with my friend for their $50 5 course meal on their last day that they offered this. We ordered mostly the lobster and scallop dishes. We truly enjoyed all the food. I think the only thing that wasn't all great was the boxed drink which looked nice on social media but it wasn't our taste at all. We were seated by the back semi-circle booths right by the washroom which was a PLUS! There are quite a lot of seatings available in this small venue. Not sure about parking here because I took an uber down. I would come here again for another 5 course meal should they have another!

Yelp
No one tell the owners how good of a deal their 5 course tasting menu is! Honestly, forget the 3 course tasting menu and the a-la-Carte menu, the 5 course menu plus drink for $50 is a great meal. Sushi is fresh, tasty and filling, the beef tataki is perfectly well seasoned and delicious and portion sizes are generous. We went for date night, had a tasting menu each, got different items to share and were stuffed by the end. The highlight of Flame Sushi is the cocktails. A night in Saporro is by far my favourite taking a Japanese mix on mezcal but honestly you can't go wrong with any of the selections. Servers are polite, friendly and make sure food and drinks arrive at the right time. Worth going for a date night for sure. Highly recommend.

Yelp
It was easy to get a spot on a Wednesday night. The service was quite smooth, although the food did come out a little slow. I ordered the foie gras golden dust roll which came out super late - 30 minutes after I ordered it. It was disappointing to see only four pieces and the foie gras was quite small. The eel flavours were quite overpowering too. I also got the hamachi oshi, and the wasabi sauce was super heavy handed. Luckily I can take spice but I think some people may find the sauce a little overwhelming. Overall, the ambiance was nice though with great decor, but the food was average unfortunately.

Yelp
Visited on a Saturday night without reservations and the wait was only 20 mins. My friend and I opted for the seasonal menu which was $50/person and comes with your choice of a cocktail, 3 dishes each, a miso soup, and a shared dessert. The restaurant was cozy and the server explained the menu to us well. Service was fast, and she waited for our cameras to be ready before unveiling the smokey cocktails. We both chose the Night in Sapporo which is mezcal-based and the cocktail went so well with the rest of the food. We started with the beef and hamachi tatakis which were both unique to one another and delicious. The taro chips on the hamachi added a crunchy texture, and the truffle sauce on the beef enhanced the ponzu flavour without overpowering it. For the next course, we had the assorted tempura shrimp and butter kingfish yaki. The tempura portion was huge and came with 4 shrimps as well as yam, broccoli, and onion. The kingfish came pan fried and though I usually wouldn't have picked cooked fish, it was quite tasty. For the next course, we had the sous vide duck breast which was extremely tender and soo smokey - one of the best duck dishes I've had and not gamey at all. We also got the imperial silk dragon roll which was also a rather large portion. It was the perfect way to end the meal, with a spicy mayo on top and a truffle aioli on the bottom. For our shared dessert, we had 2 mini macarons, a blueberry panna cotta, and a yuzu cheesecake. The cheesecake was my favourite due to the creaminess and lightness. Everything was delicious and well worth the price. I would love to visit again to taste their next seasonal menu!

Yelp
Discovered this place last year while walking along Queen Street and were lured in by the $1 oyster promotion. It's a buck-a-shuck for a dozen oysters with the purchase of an alcoholic beverage. We've been three times and on the third visit, we finally gave their $50 tasting menu a try. The $50 tasting menu appears to change by season. The current 'winter' menu will run until the end of March, which then they'll release their 'spring' menu. Some of our favourites from the tasting menu and the a la carte menu are the Beef Tataki, the Blaze Seafood Tower, and the Salmon Oshi. And of the three desserts we tried (matcha cheesecake, chocolate squares, blueberry panna cotta), the matcha cheesecake was our favourite. $50 gets you five courses AND a drink, which is great value, seeing as some of the items are upwards of $25/dish. Our only suggestion is to order as you go, and/or in a sequence/progression that makes sense. We did take our time eating and plates were served one at a time, though almost too efficient one after the other as soon as we were done. Not sure if everything was prepared all at once and just sitting, because our meat dishes (Kingfish Butteryaki and Red Miso Paprika Lamb) weren't as warm when we got them. Regardless, we'll still come back, whether it's another tasting menu or the regular a la carte menu (both of which we highly recommended!)

Yelp
After watching a very compelling tik tok showcasing this restaurant, my girlfriend's and I decided we had to go! We went with the spring special menu where you get a five-course meal for $50. It was worth every penny and was absolutely delicious! Each dish was so carefully prepared and the flavors complemented each other so well. Not only was the presentation beautiful, but the ingredients were fresh and the execution was incredible! Honestly, this was a great culinary experience! Typical of downtown, the washrooms were disgusting, I wish they would clean that up a little bit. But other than that everything else was beautiful!
google avatar

Eileen L.

Yelp
We got the fixed price menu here which included five courses Plus a drink. In addition, we also ordered oysters on the half shell and the wagyu sushi. The value is amazing for the amount and quality of the food that you get on the fixed price menu. We got the fish carpaccio, nigiri, Sea bass, and more! The fish was all fresh. The only part that I didn't enjoy was the dessert which consisted of a small slice of cheesecake and some brownies. I wouldn't say that it's the best sushi or seafood that I've ever had, but just the value makes it worth it. Note that for the drinks they only have one choice of mocktail. For weekends, I highly recommend that you make a reservation.

Yelp
After seeing several social media posts and reviews online for their $50 winter tasting menu promo, I went to check it out for myself. Overall, i really enjoyed the food and dining experience. I was skeptical about bringing my bf because he is a really big eater. But we were pretty content with the portions (unless he lied to me to be nice about me dragging him with me). Amongst the 2 of us, we tried the Tamamo and Night in Sapporo cocktails (ignite), blaze seafood tower & rainbow dragon rolls (blaze), soy glaze cod portion & yuzu confit duck leg (kindle), hamachi & salmon tataki (glow) with the soup/salad and house dessert. The quality of everything was good in my opinion, with my favourites being the hamachi tataki and confit duck leg. The servers were attentive and the restaurant environment is cozy and cute, though it's small... so make sure to book reservations with their online tool since it gets busy (lots of people come from work, it got packed by 6 on a Wednesday). If you enjoy a good tasting menu and are looking for a nice Japanese restaurant to eat at, I'd recommend this place and the promo which ends at the end of March. I can't speak to the value of their items at regular price but I do also appreciate that their set menu includes the prices if you were to buy everything individually so you can gauge the value.
google avatar

Yelp
This sushi restaurant has average quality, but it offers good value for the price. With just $50, you can enjoy a wide variety of items. I particularly enjoy their seafood tower, which is generously portioned and definitely worth a try for everyone. 呢間壽司嘅quality不過不失,但價錢性價比幾高。$50就可以食到好多嘢。我特別鍾意佢嘅seafood tower好足料,值得大家一試。

Yelp
Went to Flame Sushi for their winter set, $50 per person for dinner. Service was on point--quick and they made sure to explain all the dishes, which was a nice touch. The place had a good atmosphere, not too loud and really liked the interior. Started with the Tamamo drink, a gin-based cucumber mix, super refreshing. We added a Wagyu sushi roll to our winter set (bonus: several menu items were half off with the set). The Wagyu was incredible--juicy, tender, and made the sushi standout. For appetizers, we had beef and salmon tataki. The beef was my favorite, perfectly tart and salty. The salmon was great too, with a refreshing lemon flavor. Moved on to yuzu confit duck leg and karaage chicken next, both were flavorful and perfectly cooked--the duck tender and the chicken crispy. Wrapped up with the rainbow dragon roll and sous vide duck breast. The sushi balance was spot on, and the duck was cooked to perfection, loved the teriyaki sauce and crispy lotus root with it. There was also a yummy dessert at the end which was a creme brulee and chocolate dessert - both perfect to end the meal! Overall, Flame Sushi was a hit. Despite being packed, it's clear why it's so popular. Definitely planning a return visit!

Yelp
I'm not usually easily influenced by social media but in this case I just had to give it a try. For the winter $50 prix fixe menu, they have several options to choose from. You have an appetizer, a main, a side, an alcoholic beverage, miso soup, salad, and dessert. This is what I ordered: Tamamo libation Hamachi tataki Seafood tower Soy glazed cod In terms of portions, quality and presentation, we're looking at a solid 4. I thought the tataki and glazed cod were a little too heavy handed on the sauces. Everything raw tasted fresh. The tataki had some bursts of brightness from the pomegranate and sliced grapes (I believe). The seafood tower was fun to create your own bites with seaweed. There was a nice variety of salmon, avocado, large shrimp, scallops, and caviar on a slim bed of rice. The drink was slightly watered down but I could taste the alcohol. The dining room is dark and could be romantic for some. Booths in the back, and a few in the front. Ideally, a small group of 3-4 would allow you and your dining companions a sample of everything. All the other tables were set up for pairs. What I found most notable was the service. Everyone was pleasant, professional, and attentive. Water was poured, plates were described, and dishes were collected efficiently. I'd go back for this meal again but just order different things. Seriously, with all the choices, there's truly something for everyone.

Yelp
We tried the $50 spring set menu and it was a pretty good deal. Each dish tasted good and the portion size was also fair. They also have other premium add ons for half the price. Unfortunately, the added wagyu roll was our most disappointed dish of the night. Service was also pretty good. Ambience was nice but tables were a bit too close to one another. I would recommend making a reservation as they do get busy.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I were exploring Queen Street West on Saturday. It was almost dinnertime, and we picked this place since the food items on the posters looked delicious! As soon as we entered, a young friendly man greeted us and gave us a seat by the window. The seats were comfortable and there was plenty of room to stretch our legs (awesome!). Our waiter came over with a tablet (that had the menu) and let us know that we can order by adding the items to the cart. He also told us about their feature items (that we saw on the posters outside). My boyfriend ordered slices of duck, Sous Vide Duck Fried Rice, and a soda. I picked Spicy Tuna Dragon Roll (8 pieces). He said that the soda was lightly sweet and refreshing and the slices of duck were juicy but a bit difficult to chew. His favourite dish was the fried rice- the mix of vegetables and meat was delicious. I also enjoyed my meal- the sushi pieces were large and there were good amount of filling in each roll. There was a lot of sauce, so I took some of it off to enjoy the taste of each piece. Our waiter was great- he made sure that we had everything that we needed. He came by to check that we had enough napkins, water, and cutlery. We had a relaxing evening, enjoying a good meal together. If you're looking for a quiet place to go to for dinner, check this place out!

Yelp
I'd been wanting to visit since I saw they do happy hour for oysters. Unfortunately didn't visit during happy hour, but will definitely return in the future. They also seem to have good lunch specials. The decor and ambiance had an upscale feel to it. When I visited, it looks like most tables were already reserved, but they were able to seat me, despite not having a reservation. The service was good; the servers were attentive and helpful, happy to help for any questions asked. There was a dish that ended up arriving really late, though, but they constantly checked in to make sure it was ultimately received. Ordered the east coast oysters, saba nigiri, godzilla roll, salmon oshi, and tako wasabi. For 2 people, this left us very full. The oysters were good, although a bit small. The saba nigiri was my favourite. I felt the salmon oshi had a bit too much rice. Although it had a jalapeño on it, I wished they served some wasabi on the side for an extra kick. The godzilla roll was good, although I wasn't a fan of the thick kewpie mayo topping. The tako wasabi was served on a bed of seaweed salad, with lots of nori on the side. I loved the extra nori as I feel most places don't serve enough, but I didn't like that it was mostly seaweed salad. I feel it may have been served like that to reduce the spice level and to cater to a larger palate. Although it wasn't what I expected, it was still enjoyable and a large serving. Overall, I would return.

Yelp
Ordered the braised short rib taco and the aburi pressed sushi combo. I was not expecting to be blown away by that taco. The shell was not typical .... A deep fried wonton. And you know what? That worked! The crunch and the tenderness of the other ingredients. Really nice ! The pressed sushi wasn't bad. A little dry and not very strong in flavour. The salmon oshi was definitely the star of the setfor me. I would definitely go back for the tacos and other versions of it. The fusion worked very well for my palette!

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday night with a couple of close friends after seeing the $1 oyster special during the month of October & of course we had to check it out!! Food - split between 2 people, we got the following rolls: honey mustard roll, spicy salmon dragon, Hokkaido, half dozen oysters, karaage, and salmon sashimi. I would recommend everything!! The sushi cuts were fresh. Rolls were filling, flavourful and complimentary to one another. Presentation was clean. Karaage was crispy, and sauce was flavourful with a beautiful presentation. Oysters were big, fresh and yummy! Service- could use some improvement as they do bring out drinks in the middle of the meal which I find odd. They should bring out drinks at the beginning of the meal, so that you're not waiting on it while you eat. A little bit more check ins to the table from the same waiter may be helpful as messages from one waiter to the next got really confusing. Parking - side street on St. Patrick street you can find Green P or a parking garage nearby.

Yelp
This venue is located a few minutes away from queen and university - easily accessible by ttc or subway. We arrived around 10pm and was seated promptly. We only ordered some oysters and drinks as we just finished having dinner at another venue. The oysters were fresh, and the customer service was amazing. They really tried to go above and beyond until the very last second ~ they even opened the door for us as we left.

Yelp
Saw the sign for $1 oysters and promptly made a reservation for dinner the next day. The deal goes on until October 31, where for the purchase of any alcoholic drink you can have a dozen oysters for $1 each. It seems very popular so hopefully they will be making this a long term promotion. The oysters were super fresh, and paired well with lemon alone or their house made salsa. The tuna oshi was savoury and had a surprise seaweed centre. The scallop roll was also delicious, though I didn't taste any of the smoked salmon and the scallop was only a small piece on top. Service was friendly and our waitress patiently explained her favourite menu features. I can see this being a great after work place to go for drinks and apps with friends or a date.

Yelp
I also saw this restaurant on blogto and knew I had to try. Went here for dinner and let me break down the items I ordered: 1.) Foie Gras Golden Dusted Rolls (4 pcs) = 5/5 rating **this is a must try item! It reminded me of the foi gras roll that I had at aki ono izakaya and man did this place deliver! The foie is combined with torched eel and dynamite roll all in one! So much flavour!** 2.) Foie Gras stuff chicken wings (2 pcs) = 4/5 rating **You can tell I'm a big foie gras lover. I gave this item a 4/5 because you can barely taste the foie gras inside the wings. But overall it was a tasty dish! The wings were de-boned and stuffed to with chicken and shrimp** 3.) Spicy Salmon taco (2pcs)= 3.5/5 rating **Again, very delicious, the shell was a bit different than what I was use to. A bit on the harder side, but overall the spicy salmon was very good! 4.) Crispy pork belly tempura = 4/5 rating **Super tasty and right amount of fat and meat ratio. Never thought about tempura pork belly before but it was amazing! 5.) Hokkaido Scallop Tataki = 4/5 rating **I'm not a big scallop fan, but this dish for sure changed my mind. The combination of micro greens and ponzu sauce made the biggest difference for me. All the ingredients in this dish complimented with one another very well! 6.) Tuna Oshi = 5/5 rating **Can't go wrong with Torched press sushi filled with seaweed paste topped with Tuna, with taco sauce, Sesame, Black tobiko and Micro green (The description along would make you mouth water! )It was super delicious and went well with all the dishes Overall, great date night place or girls night place! Interior is luxe especially the back area with private booths. I will for sure come here again!!!

Yelp
Definitely one of the better a la carte options when it comes to sushi. Everything was rather pleasant and considering it was split family type, it offered a lot of opportunities to try different things without feeling like you're breaking the bank. The people and the space it self is rather nice.

Yelp
Saw a post on instagram and decided to venture downtown from the burbs to try flame sushi last Saturday. A real hidden gem! Food was amazing from presentation to taste! Serving size was ample and the seafood was fresh and tasty We had the spring tasting menu at $50 per person which included a drink. The drink menu did not have a wide selection however does offer a couple of cocktails or imported beers but the cocktails were unique and I loved my pick! The staff were very friendly and attentive we will definitely make a trip back for their summer tasting menu! Don't miss out you have try it at least once!

Yelp
I saw Flame sushi in blogTO and decided to meet a friend there for lunch. They have lunch special bento boxes and the portions are very generous and good bang for your buck. If you're looking for pretty aesthetics and good value, this is the place to go!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I came across this from BlogTO and man I was blown away. The ingredients were fresh, the service was courteous and the price was right! This is definitely one of the best restaurants we've had during our travel in Toronto. I'm super jealous of Torontonians that live near this gem.

Yelp
Amazing sushi ! I went here for the one dollar oysters (which btw is only $1 if you buy a drink, maximum 12 oysters per drink) and was pleasantly surprised by all of the dishes. The beef tataki was soo flavorful, and all of the sushi was so unique!

Yelp
No nonsense sushi in a modern and upscale dining area. Came here group of 4 with reservations. Service is great. Menu has a wide range of sushi! I want to try their happy hour next time I come. I would say it's like 2/4 fancy for Japanese food where: 4: omakase 3: Jabistro / mini robata 2: flame sushi 1: kibo

Yelp
The food was good but some of the sushi dish was just okay. I like the chicken karaage as it was easy to hand hold to eat. The duck rice was okay as I wish there was stronger duck flavor. The oysters we had was fresh and nicely done. The server forgot our pressed sushi so we had to ask for it again. It was overall okay.

Yelp
I would give this place 10 Stars if I could! The customer service was incredible and the food was nothing short of spectacular. We ordered the following items: * Hokkaido Roll -Delicious! * Poparazi Roll - Also delicious! And really great if you like a hint of smokiness * Asahi Braised Short rib - tasted like my mom's home-cooking! Our waitress was Lisa and she was beyond hospitable and helpful! All of the staff members were kind and welcoming.

Yelp
To be honest, I wasn't expecting much given their frequent deals on UberEats makes this one of the cheapest sushi places - and that's including the torched sushi. However, it turns out that this place delivers on both quantity and quality! The oshi came with deliciously seasoned slices of fish on top of perfectly cooked rice, torched with a slight touch of spice that combined into a mouthwatering bite. Great flavours. Their rolls and regular nigiri were not bad either - pretty standard, but at least they don't try to stuff them with rice. Nice packaging and presentation, plus there's always plenty of packets of wasabi/ginger/soy sauce included in the order (admittedly it's a lot of plastic). Recommended. :)

Yelp
I give this place a solid 3.5 stars, its average and unremarkable. I also don't like the fact that the photos don't match the food. You get less premium ingredients in real life. At their retail cost I would be mad but when I pay 50 off using fod app. I can't complain. Takowasabi- big portion, all the octopus is on the first layer and the rest is filled with seaweed salad. If you like seaweed salad this great. The standard rolls, nigiris . They all come out to be very average, tiny bits of rice clumping. The issue was the rice it self. It didn't have a shine, it didn't have a good balance for the rice seasoning. Black dragon roll - average flavours below average cuts. Its weird how they cut them very thin. Also the take out box ruins it. Marine roll (foie gras) - this one was tasty very enjoyable but you need a microscope to locate the foie gras, we all thought that it was missing. Hokkaido scallop roll - this was also delicious but a small sliver of scallop. At 50 percent off its a deal! Would order when I want to satiate sushi cravings. At retail pricing a bit too high for quality that's not there yet.

Yelp
I've heard about this place online and been wanting to try it so my friend and I biked through the city on a cold night to get there. Once we arrived around 5:40pm(no line, no wait) they showed us an IPad with various photos of some items on their menu which I found helpful. I asked about any specials and they said if we order a dozen oysters ($15) then it would be a $1 each oyster as long as we ordered a drink ($3 off oysters). We decided to order(receipt attached): - Dozen oysters $12 - Sapporo beer $8 - Matsumoto Sake $11 (I asked for the sweetest one) - salmon Oshi $16 - Deep fried jumbo shrimp wrapped dough $13 - Sous Vide Duck fried rice $20 - Hokkaido roll (their only torched roll) $17 Firstly, the oysters were okay but a bit fishy side for me. They took a while to bring out the hot sauce for them so we finished the Salmon oshi first. For the salmon, it was too much rice and each piece was irregularly shaped compared to one another(image shown) and some didn't have the fish eggs on top whereas one had a whole spoonful on top(not shown because I distribute it myself but the portions were off) The beer came out and the sake came when most of the food was already finished. The deep fried shrimp with wrapped dough was good but a bit over cooked. The Hokkaido roll was okay and probably the best thing out of everything we ordered but nothing memorable. Lastly, the duck fried chicken was the worst ($20) The egg was disintegrated, the rice was harder than normal as if it was a day old and left out. The texture was very minced like sand and the grain of rice wasn't plush or moist. I wouldn't comeback to the restaurant, I wouldn't recommend my friends to come here as there are many alternatives close by. The ambience was nice, the service and waiters/waitresses were nice to us. The food speaks for itself. Good luck.

Yelp
Quantity AND Quality! I was super sceptical about the quality of the sushi as their torch pressed sushi was $50 for 40pcs. Normally torch pressed sushi is much more expensive. However, Flame Sushi really impressed me. Their torch sushi was delicious and they did not cut down on the quality to make it less expensive. We shared the platter between 4 people and it was the perfect amount. I would definitely come back for their torch sushi platter and might even try something else next time.

Yelp
Honestly this blew my expectations out of the water. Hit it out of the park and then did a moon shot. Lovely service (which don't we all miss a bit?) Divine presentation and sublime food. Why are you reading this Just go now. Beverage game on point. Prices reasonable, caveat for Toronto. Taste above average by far. Go now and invite friends.

Yelp
The service here was great! Harley made our friend's birthday a pleasant experience. I didn't have to tell her to put a candle on the dessert and went out of her way to add a sprarkling candle. Food was tasty, although the lobster was not fully cooked, they redid it without any questions and also gave an extra dish on the house for the trouble. Excellent service! Small space but the ambiance was nice. Would definitely recommend

Yelp
This shop is a popup right on queen west beside the Hunnypot. Not sure how I missed the store at first but I think it's because its a pop-up & there was no sign lit up (I came at night to pickup my sushi order). Anyways my husband ordered this place off ubereats because it looked good and there was a buy 2 for the price of 1 special. The food was good for the price (discounted). I like how they aburi options but I honestly wouldn't pay full price for this. I would rather spend the extra $ for a higher end place. I appreciated the portion sizes and the extra packet of the ginger & wasabi
