Flamenco de Leones

I have been to many flamenco tablao shows in Spain. Big or small, expensive or affordable. None is as unique as Flamenco de Leones. The venue, atmosphere, staff, and food, in particular, were top notch. The tapas they served were superb, all one-of-a-kind creations. The restaurant is beautiful. And we were treated to a unique experience with a spectacular show. An unforgettable experience. A must-visit again on my next trip.

We did not enjoy our experience here—unfortunately, the food, service, and performance were all a miss. We came in knowing the show would naturally be in Spanish, but had hoped for at least a short English explanation or hand out at the beginning to give some context about what we were watching. Without that, it was hard to connect with the performance. The food was nearly inedible, and the preset tapas menu (€25 per person) felt like very poor value. Salty , cold and not fresh. Staff seemed disorganized and didn’t even explain what dishes were being served. All in all, perhaps the show might be enjoyable for someone who already has more background in flamenco and speaks Spanish , but for us it was not worth it.

I have already seen flamenco shows in Spain before but this one had some positive and negatives. The positive - the location is beautiful in the heart of the city in an elegant location. Perfect for a night out in Madrid. The music and the performance were great, not the best show I’ve seen in Spain but the performance was beautiful nevertheless. The negative - we were sat towards the back on the elevated platform and honestly they shouldn’t even have seats there. The waiters around us dropping and breaking glassware, the clanking of bottles in the kitchen and the bright glare of the sound booth was so distracting. I was completely taken out of the show experience and couldn’t be immersed in the performance. Also the show is simply too short. The other shows I’ve gone to had at least 6 sets of performances. This was about 4.

An unforgettable experience! The flamenco show was absolutely amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. Everything was perfectly organized for a magical evening. Highly recommended!

This was beyond amazing! I felt incredible emotions during the performance, like I fell in love, made love and now have to come back to reality. Insanely good! It was my first flamenco but I cannot imagine anything better than this! So much passion and so much drama in a dance, it’s just wow ❤️‍🔥 I was in Madrid for two days only and this was a highlight! Highly recommended! Must visit in Madrid!

Great venue and great show, much much better than I was hoping for. Places like this are often a hit or miss. They can be tourist traps or they can lead to superb nights. Incredibly happy this was the second case 🙂 I opted for the full dinner and I was joined last minute by 2 friends. The location is beautiful and super central. The beauty starts from the staircase that leads to the upped floor, where the show takes place. One is welcome in a beautiful place, a bit dark to create atmosphere, all in the tones of black & red. We were lead into a first room where we were delighted with a steam of very good appetizers. An highlight for me was certainly the ice cream made of cheese twirls. About 90 mins later we were led in another room for the main. I hade. The most delicious and tender ox tail. After that, 4 mignon desserts. They were all very good. The soft flower of chocolate twirls was beautiful to see. Then the show. 1 hour of high quality flamenco that we could enjoy sipping a generous glass of Porto, on the house. What a magical night 💃
