Would rate this more than 5 stars if it was possible! We attended the cultural experience and both came away declaring it as one of the most special and unique activities we have ever done on any holiday. We were whisked into the rainforest and greeted with canapes and champagne on arrival before sitting down to a 6 course banquet. Listening to a beautiful dreamtime story and learning about the healing powers of the didgeridoo were absolute highlights of the evening. Everyone visiting Port Douglas should experience this.

We finally got to go to Flames of the Forest after trying for several years. Thursday night is the only night they have the experience on with it sometimes being booked out for private functions and it is also only on at particular times of the year so you will need to check their website. Whilst there was a bus driver issue, the six of us from Port Douglas eventually got there. The setting and atmosphere was absolutely gorgeous with fairy lights and trees lit up for a magical evening with delicious food and storytelling from the local Kuku Yalangi tribe aboriginal tribe. It is set in an actual rainforest which makes it even more spectacular. The food was sensational and included drinks, both of which were plentiful. You do share tables with other people but that makes for a more interesting evening getting to know where they are from and what they do. We had a fun night with many silly and interesting conversations amongst our table. It might seem a little expensive, but the atmosphere alone makes it a very special evening. If you haven’t been I would certainly recommend booking this experience. I just wish I had taken photos of the food but it was all really good.

We wanted to celebrate our 37th Wedding Anniversary differently this year so when i came across Flames in the Forest at Port Douglas was on our actual anniversary i knew we had to book it. So so so glad we did. We were picked up promptly from our accommodation and driven to site. What a magical, mystical place they have created. From the time you step off the mini bus you are transported to a lit up oasis. Torch flames, fairy lights and candles light up the rainforest. We were immediately served sparkling wine, and a beer on arrival and tasty canapes of battered prawns, duck spring rolls and satay chicken skewers. All were excellent. Then we walked to our tables in another area under a black marquee. Fairy light balls and torch flames and fire pits awaited us. The food was 5 star. So much food none of us could eat it all. You will mot starve that is for sure. So much food on every table went back because there was ample. Noodle salad, Caesar salad kangaroo, wagyu beef, fish, chicken, plus pavlova were served. Staff were excellent. Always ensuring we had a drink in hand. The cultural show was excellent also, learning the process of playing the didgeridoo. The story telling, learning about indigenous culture and their way of living on the same land we were sitting on. The night was way above what we expected and all the reviews are spot on. This tour was so well worth the money and our anniversary night was perfect. Thank you to the staff and Gary and his brother for the most perfect night.

Beautiful place hidden in the middle of a tropical rainforest. We attended a wedding there and was beautiful. The dancefloor was small for the event but the tables were beautifully set.

Hidden deep in the forest, this truly unique dining experience delivers a lifetime of memories. Be transported to the secret location and be greeted by beauty of the fire and the lights that turn the forest into a work of art at night. 5 Star Food & Service! Thanks for a wonderful night!

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of @Mangoesmapping, the team and our families shared a night at Flames Of The Forest. We all agreed that this was the next level of quality - an experience beyond what we could have expected. Great vibes, AMAZING food (wow), excellent music and an all round magical venue. Thanks Niki and your team for a truly memorable occasion! You deserve every one of these 5 stars!
