Went for lunch with a party of 11 and luckily beat the rush—this place fills up fast. I remember coming here back when it had a different name, but the soul of the place still feels the same with fun updates like a karaoke podium and sari-sari store-style photobooth. The festive, family party vibe hits you, even if you don’t know anyone there.
The music was loud, but so was everyone else—it added to the joyful chaos. You know how Filipinos are—they don’t talk, they broadcast. Service was impressively quick for a group our size. Portions were generous and fairly priced. Highlights included the Sizzling Sisig, Pork Isaw, and Barkada Platter. The Pork BBQ needed a bit more grill time, and the Fried Bangus was bland, but everything else was savory and tender. A birthday in our group turned into a full-restaurant singalong—It was the kind of spontaneous celebration you don’t forget.
A fun, flavorful spot with a warm, boisterous vibe. Whether you're with a crowd or on your own, it’s the kind of place that pulls you in.

I’m not normally on this side of town. But when I drove by I had to do a U-turn to come back and try it out. It did not disappoint. I got the pork Adobo which was very savory. I recommend you try it out. I’ll definitely will be back.

We ordered a family platter and got a lot of food, so good! Excellent Filipino food, they also had karaoke!! Me and another girl sang a song! Had a blast, loved the food and atmosphere, great spot.

Entire meal was sooooo good. We got the pancit with the lumpia and the crispy pork, the takoyaki, and the fish ball and quail egg skewers. I personally didn’t enjoy the skewers because the texture wasn’t my thing but my friends loved them! I loved everything else though. We ordered the halo halo for dessert and I was officially sent to heaven. So, so delicious.

Arguably the best Filipino restaurant in Phoenix. There are plenty of Filipino restaurants around (with mostly pre-made and cold food) but what sets this Tambayan restaurant apart from others are the authentic flavors, made-to-order setup and food variety they offer. And their Halo Halo? Hands down - That’s the best one in town.

My son & I dined at Tambayan for a late lunch after a day of exploring the city. The place is spacious with lots of seating options at the time we went. We were seated promptly, our orders were taken after we had enough time to scroll through the menu, and our food came expeditiously. The food was DELICIOUS and the portions were great!!! I also love the mini sari-sari store display where you can take pics.

This was enjoyable, but I think the quality and atmosphere need some work.
I had come in with my family for brunch, and was surprised how cold it was inside. It took a while for us to warm up, but the noticeable chill was a bit much.
We were greeted and got our order in. It seemed like they thrive with family style orders where you buy entrees to share with the table. I wish they had gone over that in the beginning and really pushed for that, it would have added more to the atmosphere and story of Filipino culture is sharing and we want to share our meals with you. That was lacking.
We made our orders, and the one taking our order was a bit taken back on our lack of ordering? I think they were trying to upsell, but they didn't know how to do that.
As for the food, I can only speak for myself and my spouse. My order was the crispy kare-kare - which had very good crispy pork! But sauce for karekare seemed to be missing something and was still a little grainy. The vegetables included were not as cooked down as it could have been. I also give rice with my entree, and for being open for 30 mins, the rice was not as fluffy and soft as it should have been...
My husband ordered longganisa for breakfast, and while it was good, he was given one fried egg. The portion seemed too small for what he was ordering.
This place has time for improvement and could really become something for the Phoenix area. But because I live in the East Valley, I already have quality pinoy food accessible to me.

My first impression was this place has alot of Filipinos in one small building - the most I've seen in Arizona. But most of the food I ordered was mediocre. The beef caldereta did not use traditional brisket but used small "beef stew" pieces instead and had no green olives. The lechon entree tasted bland. The only entrees that were worthy were the Sisig pork and halo-halo dessert. I won't be coming back.
