An interesting railway road, which is also a bit of tourist trap. The ride is surely nice, but to properly enjoy it, you need to manage to get a seat next to a window, otherwise you won't see much. Plus everybody is super hyped on the way up to the hill, but if you return the same way, the way back will be much more boring. Less people, but the same views. I'm talking from the first hand experience. There is a stop in front of a waterfall. There was playing music and a dander was performing on the side of the waterfall. What was nice was to hear information about some stops and historical facts on the way through the speakers in the train. I strongly recommend to buy your train ticket in advance, as the tickets are sold out pretty quickly. Another thing I recommend is to consider borrowing bikes on the top of the hill and bike your way back. Otherwise the return journey might be really quite boring.

Fantastic scenery during the approximately 1 hour journey. It was a very warm, sunny day, which meant there were a lot of smaller waterfalls due to to snow/ice melting on the mountain tops. Definitely worth doing.

The Flåmsbana Railway is a must-ride for stunning Norwegian scenery, weaving through dramatic valleys, past roaring waterfalls, and under towering peaks. Insider tip: Grab a seat on the right side when leaving Flåm and near an opening window for perfect photos. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience one of the world’s most breathtaking train journeys!

A good piece to visit and even better if you get away from the main hustle and bustle areas. There's the famous train of course which is good if you can get a ticket. It's pricey. I hired an emobile that was easy to drive and slowed me to follow the route of the train while also having the freedom to stop where I wanted. Free museum is good and a welcome change from being ripped off for everything else.

Excellent train ride - they say sit on the right side of the train going up - to me, both side had stunning views. The train was well maintained and organized although it is not inexpensive for the short trip. The trip is about an hour each way and with a couple of stops for photos, it’s about 2 1/2 to 3 hours. No to be missed but book in advance - the train fills up.

Such a beautiful route through Flam. Lovely way to see the views and learn some stuff about the area. Recommend not getting off at the top (it gets very busy and you might not get seats together) but swapping to the other side of the train to see the views from the other side on your way back down. 100% buy tickets as far in advance as you can! It is a very popular tourist attraction

A beautiful scenery along the 1-hour trip going from Flam to Myrdal and back for 1 hour. A lot of waterfalls, valleys, tunnels and greenery. The train travels up from Fal at 2 meter level to an elevation of about 865 meters. There is a stop in between for a marvelous view of a huge waterfall with a show of a dancing girl in a red dress over the music and the sound of the water; very interesting? The ticket fee for the adult is about 650 NOK. Worth the trip.

Very beautiful and unique train ride. It is spring now. The melting snow on the top of the mountains along the way has formed many waterfalls of different shapes, which are very beautiful. However, the most famous Kjosfossen waterfall has only a sparse flow of water. The train stops here for 5 minutes to let tourists get off and take pictures. Only some tourists get off to take pictures. Apart from that, the scenery along the way is like an advertisement, attracting many tourists to take pictures.
