Very busy on Saturday, but we were seating quickly Food came out in a timely manner. Our server was extremely diligent on coffee, extra items, and estimate for food remaining to come out. He was outstanding. I would recommend Flappy's signature pancakes for sure. Prices can be a little on the higher end, however portions are very generous and filling.

Amazing above and beyond You wouldn't know if this place was there if you drove through the valley and through the woods so grandmother's house you went. The food is amazing but what's more even more amazing is the staff They really went above and beyond always checking in making sure everything was great getting whatever we needed shout out to Francisco v He was Rockstar. The place looks so cool plays '50s and '60s maybe '70s music has lots of cool movie posters and everything Will definitely go again. The only tiny problem that we had was that we ordered some food to go and the woman I believe she was a manager I don't remember her name She said there was French onion soup we got everything but the French onion soup and we were looking forward to that but everything else amazing. We had a side of onion rings I had a cinnamon swirl french toast combo with eggs and bacon and my mom had four egg and bacon skillet with hash browns and two buttermilk pancakes with a side of toast. Prices were okay We had real butter real half and half When I say real it means it didn't taste like I can't believe it's not butter or margarine like most places have but they were amazing and my mom loved the coffee

Stopped in for the first time and was really impressed — the breakfast was delicious! The portions were generous, the service was friendly, and everything tasted fresh and home-cooked. The white gravy was the bomb! 😋 Can’t wait to come back and try more from the menu.

I took my gf here out to get some breakfast in the morning 🌄 and let me tell you it was delicious, with reasonable price and the service was excellent 👌 my gf was so happy with her breakfast so was I! I love my food with flavor, and let me tell you, this place has flavor, and I had the gluten-free strawberry pancakes, and they were the bomb 💣 😋 I can't go to much on details but all I can I say it was worth the drive and the wait ! 😁😁😁

Such a cool old school route 66 dinner stuffed French toast was amazing! 3 huge pieces of brioches bread I wouldve preferred the strawberry comoote be fresh but it was tasty none the less. Clean restaunt and food came out hot and quick.

The menu is extensive and packed with both traditional and unique breakfast and lunch options that really cater to all tastes. I went for their signature pancakes, and they were absolutely divine – fluffy, warm, and so delicious. The quality of the ingredients shined through each bite, and it was clear that Flappy Jack’s takes pride in perfecting their craft. This place can do no wrong. Flappy Jacks’s has become one of my regular breakfast places. Staff is always amazingly friendly, attentive, and the food comes out great. Drinks are constantly refilled: Just wish they’d cook the omelettes a tad less, but it’s a personal preference. Kudos to the kitchen, staff and owners.

Pretty darn good waffles! I asked for crispy well done waffles and I got it done just right! The menu said "fresh" strawberries and the server served it with strawberries in a red sauce. When I mentioned it wad supposed to be "fresh" strawberries, he immediately took care of it! Good service, refilled my coffee many times and food was pretty good!

First, the service is always impeccable. The food is great. It's always fresh and not canned. You know those places you go to and you feel like they're just opening a can in the back. Their salsa is homemade. I love their vegetarian omelettes. Their pancakes are awesome they taste like the best. I can just eat them with butter. That's when you know it's a good pancake because you don't need a doctor it up with syrup. You got to get here early on the weekends because it's packed and there will be a wait. But it's worth the wait if you have the time. They can accommodate big parties and small parties I notice. They have these big booths and big tables. You guys are doing a great job thanks!

Came here today for a late lunch before they closed. The food was amazing! The service was great! It's a nice small place with classic movie posters all over the wall. If you know me you know I love that kind of stuff! The food was amazing had banana pancakes and also the strawberry waffles which was truly amazing The service was great we got here a little before closing and they were able to seat us and take of us so really and truly thank you

Always love this place! Wasn't super crowded today which was nice--there were actually spots available in the lot! Service is always wonderful! It was nice to meet my boss here and catch up while having our holiday gathering. The food was wonderful as always. My boss got the El Paso omelette and chocolate chip waffle. I went with the banana nut waffle and made it a combo with eggs and bacon. We left satisfied and with plenty of leftovers! Thank you, Flappy Jack's!

I saw someone describe this as a "no frills" diner and yup that's accurate. Was recommended this breakfast joint by my coworker, so I decided to give it a try after work. Because I arrived at 8am on a random weekday, I didn't experience issues with parking or getting a table. The parking spots are small though. There are so many options on the menu, so I took a bit of time to decide on what to get. I ended up getting a classic eggs and turkey sausage plate, which was about $19. To be honest, the food came out and I was kinda regretting my order. It reminded me that I should've just gone home and cooked breakfast for way cheaper. The food was nothing special. The scrambled eggs weren't even fluffy. It kinda reminded me of cafeteria or hospital breakfast. I was also given my check while I was halfway into taking a bite of food and my plate was still full. I thought that was rude...

I used to go to the location in Glendora, CA all the time when it was there and I used to live in the IE. Now that I live in the OC and the other location is closed, this is now my go-to spot for that comfort food. Parking can be a bit tricky, and there can be a bit of a wait, so I do recommend either getting there earlier than you anticipated. Service is great, even when they're jammed packed, they are on top of all their tables, and you don't feel rushed. This place has that classic diner feel, the art, the homage to the classic actors, etc. It's homey and comfy for sure! I get different foods, on this day I got the biscuits and gravy, because that was the mood. Hit that with a bit of extra pepper, it hits the spot for sure! Hubby got a country skillet, and he was very happy with that, everything was cooked to perfection. Bonus! If you're a hot chocolate fan like I am, there are free refills on it! Wooo! So If you haven't been, once again, patience is a virtue, but it's totally worth it!

Hello Fellow Yelpers Tried a new breakfast spot today. All I can say is WOW. The place is hidden next to a Chevron station on a very small street. Parking is a bit tricky, but doable. I was told this place is packed on the weekends. They have the best coffee and fluffiest pancakes I have had. We've been coming here for years and love their breakfast and lunch. Today I tried something new - the 10oz tri tip - was excellent. I will probably treat myself to this again and again. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly and the hash browns and eggs were as good. Excellent and friendly service as always

Love this place! This is one of our favorite breakfast places. They have a great variety of food that is consistently good. Everything I have tried I have enjoyed. The service is great. They are friendly and most of the times willing to do what they can for you. The place is decorated like a diner and they have awesome murals. Only downside is the wait. You have to go with lot of time as there's always a wait of at least 20 mins and sometimes it can go up to an hour! But trust me it's worth the wait!

Been coming to Flappy Jack's for years now -- it's always such a great spot for breakfast if you're craving comfort food and generous portions! The servings are huge, I can never finish a plate on my own and always end up taking leftovers home. I went over the weekend and tried the German Pancake, Stuffed French Toast, Burger, and West Coast Omelette. The burger normally comes with bacon, but since I don't eat pork, I substituted turkey bacon (there's a small upcharge). Everything was delicious -- the German Pancake was my first time trying it and it was surprisingly light and fluffy, while the other pancakes are a bit heavier but always amazing. Despite being a Saturday morning, our party of seven didn't wait long to be seated, and the staff was friendly and attentive as always. Overall, a reliable, welcoming spot for hearty breakfast classics. Highly recommend!

Came here for late breakfast with my kids and it's always such a great experience. No wait on a Friday morning and the service is always exceptional! Ambience is very family friendly. Our waitress was extremely helpful and friendly and kept the coffee pouring! I had the Monte cristo and it was very flavorful. I did not care for the pasta salad it came with. The portions are big and worth the price Great restaurant can't wait for come back .

Food was good. Of course got pancakes and bacon to share with my toddler. No frills kind of place. We were a party of 9 including one baby and one toddler. We were seated quickly and accommodated to have our stroller nearby. Our waitress was pleasant and we didn't have any issues with our food or having to ask for missing items. She was attentive and quick to take care of us. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we left satisfied. Parking can fill up fast but it seems like people are constantly coming and going. We did see several people waiting to be seated on the way out, so it seems to be a popular place.

First time here and needless to say it did not disappoint. Overall, we had a good breakfast. I ordered the country breakfast entree, which was very filling and had a great flavor. Service was good, and despite being a weekday, it got busy. I did not get a picture, but the pancakes were fluffy and flavorful.

Great service, not a terrible wait time this time around. Food came out well prepared and warm and flavorful. Inside was busy but not noisy. Bathroom was clean for the most part just on the older side so a little dirty bit from over time usage. Definitely a diner feel here.

Solid breakfast place with a lot of variety and options! Went there with some friends recently and had a good time. The staff was attentive and on top of it and helpful. The portions are massive as well so we all ended up having leftovers. The only issue with this place is that the parking can be a nightmare during peak brunch time so I recommend either coming earlier or later.

Perched up on a hill overlooking the 55 Freeway, Flappy Jack's is a diner loaded with 50's nostalgia and packed full of people enjoying huge breakfasts. And I'm one of those people. It's a huge menu with something for everyone. I enjoy the omelets, the polish sausage and eggs, and ordering pancakes instead of toast -- it's an option with no upcharge -- brings a huge fluffy pancake to enjoy along with your savory meal. There is a page of crepes and many gluten-free pancakes available, so this is a favorite of friends who are gluten-sensitive. I hear the burgers and sandwiches are good (that's what my husband gets) but when there are this many delicious breakfast options, why get a burger? FYI: parking can be a total pain on the weekends and the wait can be long. But the servers are lightning fast, so people are constantly being seated, which helps.

3.5/5! I was pretty excited to try brunch here because it had so many great reviews. There was a 20 min wait on Sunday - which isn't bad at all! But when we got sat down, it took a while for a server to come by. I got the country fried steak w/well done hash browns. But they came out regular and room temperature :( the country fried steak was nothing to die for We also got bacon and eggs brekkie, corned hash (which was pretty good!) and blueberry pancakes (the blueberry spread was really good!) Service was decent, even though food temp and quantity wasn't that great. Maybe I just got the wrong thing!

But also come prepared to make a hard decision of what to choose! The menu is all tempting. Eggs, burritos, french toast, pancakes or crepes. Not easy but whatever you choose you won't be disappointed! The service is great. Someone greets you as you enter. Then promptly seated and coffee (or your drink) comes quickly. The place is crowded but never do you feel rushed or wanting in service. The servers come by but no pressure. I've not been there for lunch but that menu also looks broad and tempting. The servers all are smiling and friendly and it shows in their customer service. The food is maybe a bit pricier than a fast food place, but you do get what you pay for. Quality, good service and an overall enjoyable experience- not just a meal. Plenty of parking, easy to get in and out and convenient location

Been there a few times. Wasn't too thrilled about this meal. Crepe tasted and smelled real eggy. I did have a few bites of cream of wheat stuffed pancakes and those were very good! Service was excellent and the vibe is very pleasant.

Seating and parking. He requested a table for party of six...five of us were here and one 10 mins away, but had to wait until the entire party of six were here in order to six at table... Due to traffic, she arrived 15 mins later, and still we had to wait for our table. 10 min wait. According to Manager Veronica, they enforce the "Entire Party Rule..." it's a sign hanging in there entrance... She just dismissed the situation and accommodation all together... The place is crowded and disorganized... This is our first time here... Not a good experience and bad first impression.

The country fried steak and eggs were delicious as well as the hash browns with 2 buttermilk pancakes on the side. (Yes, please!) My daughter fell deeply in love with the Chocolate chip pancakes! Our server was so friendly! I'm looking forward to coming back here!

We were sat very quickly, we arrived shortly after 1pm on a Saturday afternoon. Service was quick and friendly. The vibe is old school and it has a cool view of the freeway depending on where you are sat. We ordered the banana nut pancakes & the country fried steak. The pancakes were too thick & a little dry for my personal liking & the hash browns lacked a little seasoning but everything else was delicious.

This wrap had a lot of flavor and the size was filling. Great amount of fruit and it was all fresh. Really good choice if you are feeling for the Mexican breakfast

I love Flappy's! The food is always bomb and the service is good. We were lucky enough to be seated as soon as we walked in and our food came out pretty fast too. I ordered Flappy's favorite scramble that also came with a side of pancakes that were delicious! Their pancakes are always hot, light and fluffy. This is probably one of my favorite breakfast spots, everything I've ever had here is always good.

This place can do no wrong. Hash brown could use some work, but besides that, always delicious. Eggs are always cooked perfect, whether sunny side up or in an omelette. Portions are always huge. Service always stellar and drinks never go below half. Prices extremely fair for portions, service and experience. Haters will hate. They just don't understand. They should maybe stick to their quick service, fast food, GMO breakfast joints.

Addressing the elephant in the room, parking and wait-times are absolutely EGREGIOUS here. Expect to be circling around the parking lot and fighting over spots before even getting on the waitlist. As for the food, its OKAY. I highly recommend you come here for their pancakes and country fried skillet (probably their best menu options). The seating is quite packed and servers do not kiss ass. Very "no-frills" breakfast experience.

My family and I love flappy jacks! It's a huge family favorite, we always leave satisfied and so full with their generous portions. Everything from their large omelets to their awesome Benedict's are a hit, even their lunch menu is a winner!

We arrived Sunday morning around 940 am and my friend and I got sat within 5 minutes upon arrival. I asked our waitress if I can get a Crepe with triple berries with added sweet cheeses that come inside the Blintzes. The waitress said she was able to make that happen. Our food arrived about 15 minutes after ordering. The taste and texture of the cheese inside the crepes reminded me of cottage cheese but sweet. This crepe also came with a side of sour cream on the side as well. With all the flavors I thought the crepes were really yummy! My friend ordered the country fried steak which she said was an 8 out of 10. She prefers the Dennys ones over this country fried steak. I had to give 4 stars since we had to wait a bit for refills on our water.

The wait to eat here on the weekend is so long and I can't say it's over the top worth it to wait that long but if you happen to not be starving and can wait to be seated then I suggest you do it. Food portions here are really big you can honestly go with sharing the waffle or pancakes with someone and just ordering a side of eggs and bacon for each. The waiters come around constantly filling up your coffee so it never goes empty that was very nice to see. Food is good I had the banana nut waffle with a side of scrambled eggs and bacon the bacon was a perfect crisp and the waffle was so delicious tasted almost like banana cream pie YUM! Restaurant inside is obviously very busy but the staff does a great job at moving quickly. The inside is decorated like an old diner it's nice too look around while you wait for your food. Only reason why I give this place a 4 star is because of the wait, the food is good but not extremely good where you need to wait a couple of hours to be seated. If you have the time to wait or if you come on a weekday get a waffle!

I have been here multiple times and I love the food! One of my top favorites to go to after church. But the wait time is hit or miss, you could get seated immediately or wait 45 minutes for a table. And the food is a bit pricey, but I can justify the price for how good it is. And lastly I love the 50s retro diner vibe, but some areas of the restaurant lack that vibe.

The service was also great, they were able to accommodate me and my family of 9 with no issue and no wait time. We wanted to indulge for breakfast but didn't feel like dining out. I waited too long to order from the Original Pancake House so I thought I'd try a takeout order from Flappy Jacks. I ordered the strawberry and banana crepes and I ordered the cherry waffle for her. I also ordered a side of bacon so we could get some protein. Our order was ready when I arrived 15 minutes later and I was given a very friendly greeting. I got back home and we dug in. The bacon was good and crispy as ordered. The menu says thick cut but it was just regular thickness cuts. The crepes were ok. There were plenty of strawberries and slices of banana but the crepes themselves didn't have much flavor. My girlfriend liked the cherry waffle but it was a little soggy. I'm sure part of that was from it being a to go order but the waffle could have been initially made a little more crispy. We will probably eat here again, but dine in only. No more to-go orders.
