Flash Dog Training

I can not say enough positive things about this place! Flash Dog came highly recommended from our trainer back in Corvallis, OR when we mentioned we’d be moving to Denver. After doing some serious digging into multiple other training facilities in Co, I kept coming back to Flash Dog Training. We have a very independent and determined 85lb 1 year old German Shepard mix who ran the household and left us feeling hopeless and worried about his reactivity. Flash dog and their head trainer Brooklynn, completely changed our relationship with him and gave us SO many great effective training techniques. As someone who was also very skeptical about e-stim collars, Flash Dog completely changed our minds and gave back so much freedom to our little determined puppy. He handles himself SO much better when meeting new people and new dog friends, and is excited to run back to us when we call him back to our side. I was nervous to leave our little dude, but Brooklynn, Bayley, and Sierra sent pictures and text updates daily and always responded when I had questions or just wanted more pics. If you are still on the fence with where to take your dog, DONT BE just give this place a call to see how genuinely compassionate, and extremely knowledgeable the staff are! This place gave us back our confidence in our puppy and changed his world for the better, it was WORTH EVERY SINGLE CENT.

I highly recommend Flash Dog Training. Our dog Pipper used to be extremely reactive to other dogs, tug on leashes, and be inconsolable/barking excessively when neighbors walked by. We now have all the tools we need to communicate with her effectively and her whole demeanor has calmed down with the help of her new tools. Brooklynn is an incredible trainer. Beyond the 21 day board/train program, the ability to train for a whole year with Brooklynn’s help makes flash dog training a great value for money. We feel thoroughly supported in all we need to maintain and continue developing Pipper’s skills. Thank you so much Brooklynn and the rest of the team for helping Pipper have the life she deserves! Shortly after we adopted our pup Mabel we began to see negative behaviors from what we believe to be a result of her background before she came to us. We noticed immediately that she would bolt out of the front door when it was opened. There were two occasions when she got out and tried to attack two dogs. Mabel had been returned previously because she was running off. We didn't want to give up on her so we began to look for training for Mabel. We knew that she would need a lot of time and care to help her overcome her trauma. We knew it would take a special place with special people to take her because of her aggression towards other dogs. I began to look for board and train programs and that's when I came across Flash. I read the incredible success stories so I called and talked to Amanda. Amanda was wonderful! She took the time to ask questions about Mabel and what behaviors we were seeing at home and what our concerns were. She recommended Flash's three week e-collar board and train program. It sounded like the perfect fit so we signed her up and she began training a week later. When Mabel came home from Flash she was a completely different dog. She was a happy, calm and relaxed girl. Her last day of training was a huge milestone for her because she was now trained to be off leash. That is huge! We were so proud of her! I could go on and on about just how much the trainers at Flash love and care for every dog that comes into their care. The training is nothing less than outstanding. We now have our new puppy Lloyd at Flash for the two week puppy sleep away camp. I just can't say enough great things about Flash and Mabel's trainer Amanda. We are tremendously grateful for all they have done for Mabel's success story.

I cannot recommend Ali and her team in Denver enough. I brought my 4 year old super mutt with a huge personality and bigger fears in expecting to be told my dog is too quirky, too high energy, and that due to his mixed breeds he was untrainable (as another trainer had told me). What I received was understanding, compassion, acceptance, and a dog returned to me that was just as quirky but who had gained new skills to help him through life. Ali embraced my dog’s personality and gave us both new tools to communicate with eachother in a way I didn’t think was possible. She also shared her expertise on dog health in general to help us start a new diet that has practically eliminated symptoms from a chronic medical issue he had recently been diagnosed with, all without harsh medications that a vet had prescribed. If you want your dog trained by someone who loves them as much as you do, bring them here. Ali has literally changed both my dogs and my life for the better.

Ali and the entire flash dog team are amazing! Our 2-year old sheepadoodle was becoming increasingly harder to manage and pushing our boundaries with constant attention barking, leash reactivity and not being able to settle in new places. Frankie spent 3 weeks with Ali and is truly the best boy now. He has mastered his impulse control and leash manners and Ali gave us the tools to make him successful. Our pup now gets to go on all our adventures with us from hikes to patio hangs and having friends over - my mother in law even offered to watch him, which did not happen prior to Flash! I cannot recommend Ali enough - Frankie now gets to live his life in such a fuller way and is still 100% our big goober....but with manners!

Ali and her team are absolutely amazing. I came to flashdog after putting my active, stubborn Germanshepard husky pup through two other training programs that didn’t work for us. Ali was able to understand my dog luna, but she also understood me and accommodated her training to our unique situation. After luna went through their board and train program she was still the same silly sassy dog, but she LISTENED to me and she wasn’t hyperactive or anxious anymore: Ali and her team helped me build a trusting relationship with luna and because of that we are able to go anywhere off leash, I can take her into stores, trust her on Restaurant patios, and not get dragged when she is on the leash. Luna and I both get to live our best stressfree life. I can confidently say I have the most social, playful, stubborn BUT TRAINED dog everywhere we go. None of that would have been imaginable before flashdog. After seeing the improvement luna had after working with Ali and her team, my mom send her two pups through their board and train program. Her dogs had very different training needs, one of them had a tendency to be aggressive towards some dogs and thought she ran the world, the other one was fearful and insecure but they both began fighting. It got so bad we had to keep the dogs separated using barricades like doors and gates everywhere, it was exhausting. After their successful time with Ali and her team all three dogs get to coexist in the same spaces! It is truly incredible how they were able to accommodate their training for such different dogs but meet off of their unique needs. Not only does my family love working with Ali and her team but all the dogs love them too. Every time luna hears Ali or one of the CO trainers on Instagram she tilts her head at my phone. And I can assure you that Ali and her team gets the most loving and exciting greetings from all three dogs when they see them after training. Long story short I am beyond lucky to have found Flashdog and am so lucky for Ali and her team. They are the best!!

Working with this company and its trainers is the best investment I’ve made since getting our dog two years ago. After working with two separate trainers and being unable to resolve the increasingly problematic behaviors of my 2 year old red heeler (think human and dog reactivity, explosive reactions at home, nipping and growling in response to “no,” crate aggression, etc.) I was unable to go anywhere or have guests over without crating him and truly felt at my wits end (emotionally and financially). Ali and a team of professionals at Flash Dog took our boy on and truly transformed him into a different dog. He spent 6 weeks at their board and train and I got back a different dog and received the tools and ongoing access to resources to maintain his progress. I truly feel indebted to her for the freedom and peace of mind she’s provided in addition to greatly improving our dog’s quality of life. Not only that, they love our boy just like he was one of their own. If you’re struggling with behavioral issues or anything else, you can trust in them to get you on the right track to enjoy a peaceful and enriched life with your dog. They’re the best in the biz!

We LOVE Flash Dogs Training!! We were first time dog parents with a new Labrador puppy, and found limited success before Flash Dogs - after Flash Dogs, she heels consistently, she learned to self soothe, uses place, follow, and retrieves without multiple prompts (and now even with just hand signals!) Ali and team have been true dog training professionals and helped us be better owners (Train the Trainer), we owe them a ton of gratitude for the amazing life we’ve been able to share with our Azula since.
