As a wedding photographer, I was recently privileged to capture Victoria + Ryan’s rehearsal dinner at Flat Mountain Farm, a luxury micro-resort nestled in the heart of Highlands, North Carolina.
Flat Mountain Farm is a stunning sanctuary that seamlessly blends rustic charm and modern elegance. The expansive 28-acre property is filled with picturesque scenes, from its lush green landscapes to the private pond and waterfalls, making it a dream location for any photographer.
The Scandinavian black barn, where the rehearsal dinner took place, is an architectural marvel. It's not just a barn, it's a work of art. The black exterior contrasts beautifully with the surrounding greenery, while the sliding white oak doors add a touch of sophistication. Inside, the barn exudes a cozy yet luxurious feel. The high ceilings and open space provide an airy atmosphere, while the warm lighting creates an intimate setting perfect for a rehearsal dinner.
The antique log cabins on the property offer another layer of rustic charm. They have been beautifully redesigned with a modern twist, providing a perfect blend of old and new. The cabins, with their log exteriors and chic interiors, are a visual treat and offer numerous photo opportunities.
All around the property, there are serene spaces that can be used for small gatherings or quiet moments. The hiking trails offer a close encounter with nature, and the private pond adds a calming element to the whole scenery.
In conclusion, Flat Mountain Farm is an aesthetically pleasing venue that offers endless photographic opportunities. Each corner of the property tells a story, and as a photographer, being able to capture these stories was a pleasure. Whether it's the scenic views, the striking barn, or the charming cabins, Flat Mountain Farm is a venue that impresses at every turn
