If you like your meat this is the place. Great place in the meatpacking area and great atmosphere. We had the set menu which is great value for money. Awesome service Also went for lunch with a friend fo smørrebrød. Very very good as well.

Google
A little on the high-end in terms of pricing, but Fleisch delivered top notch food. We ordered almost everything on the mains menu and the kids loved the food too! We were thankful that the waitstaff found us a table as it was a weekend and we did not make a reservation!

Google
Amazing food, good wine and good vibe. Amazing confit de canard 👌🏻 can highly recommend. Tables were a bit small, otherwise good.

Google
Had the 425 Kr dinner menu at Fleisch and absolutely loved it. Every dish was packed with flavor, from the grilled tuna starter to the perfectly cooked onglet steak with Béarnaise and crispy fries, and a simple, fresh strawberry dessert to finish. The atmosphere was relaxed and unpretentious with a cool industrial vibe that fits perfectly in the Meatpacking District. Service was friendly and well paced. Great value for the quality of food and experience. Highly recommend for a delicious and casual dinner in one of Copenhagen’s most exciting areas.

Google
The drinks were the best part. The bone marrow was good. The salad was old. The steak was good and the pasta was okay. It felt expensive for what we got, but full disclosure it was our first night, we had no reservation and had been turned away from multiple restaurants, so we were willing to settle. I do think prices are high. Several people sat, read the menu and left without ordering.

Google
The food was very close to five stars, however both my choices for starter and main were out for the evening which ended up in a very good second choice, but a little dent was left. Friendly staff that kept us happy as the closing down happened in parallel made it very welcoming for us to enjoy the full experience of coffee and avec without rushing. Great atmosphere

Google
Fantastic food - the ceviche starter was one of the nicest dishes I have ever had - and the staff were great. Oh and the best chips with a mayo dip (garlic?) I've had in a long time. I will definitely go back the next time I am in Copenhagen.

Google
We loved the restaurant 😍 the food was amazing and the STAFF 10/10 amazing service, good atmosphere ❤️ the steak was fab

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner here. Everything was perfect: staff was lovely, timing of food and drinks was ideal and everything tasted amazing. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside and the room was great. Lively but not so loud where we could not have a conversation. Absolutely recommend.

Yelp
This was a solid meal, a bit more than I was expecting for fried fish on rye but honestly no regrets, I would order it again.

Yelp
Arrived in Copenhagen today with a large group for a soccer event. The meat packing district is close to our hotel and this place had great reviews. The meal was fantastic and our server, Jesper, was outstanding! We were sitting outside because of how large our party was and we got a little cold, so Jesper brought out a bunch of blankets to keep us warm! He also brought us two different types of schnapps to try and some pickled herring and rye bread, which was out of this world. The table sampled several different dishes and everything was tasty and beautifully prepared. We had the mussels, beef, danish chicken, lamb meatballs, ceviche and shrimp. Yummy is all I can say!

Yelp
I was in Copenhagen for a conference and didn't have many opportunities to eat outside the hotel. Glad the one time I had dinner free was at Fleisch. Loved the sardines, chicken skin over creamy potatoes, and one of the best made steaks ever. Finished the meal with a traditional Danish dessert Koldskal, refreshing and light. Service was excellent. Very glad we came here!
google avatar

Yelp
This was definitely one of the best meals I had in Copenhagen! There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating -- we opted for outdoor seating since it was a nice day. My personal favorite was the shrimp and eggs. I felt as though this was a really refreshing meal. I would definitely recommend this gem in the meatpacking district!

Yelp
The best!! Great food and service and my GOD the Fois Gras. Get it or you're doing it wrong.

Yelp
Delicious food meticulously prepared. For example, the tomatoes in my caprese salad were prepared four different ways. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Smack in the middle of the popular meat packing district you will find Fleisch. It's young and fun with a very nice menu. It was good enough that we went there twice while in Copenhagen. We sat outside and enjoyed a couple nice cocktails along with some cava and a bottle of really nice red blend Spanish wine with dinner. The first night we had their prix fixe menu which I believe was five courses. It started with their delicious bread and butter and moved on to foie gras with their toasted bread & yummy jam. Next up was a white fish sashimi with a Ponzu type sauce , a raw beef tartare, great lamb skewers with a yogurt sauce, the Danish chicken which was very average and a New York strip steak with delish frites & an awesome bernaise dipping sauce. The strawberry mousse type dessert with crumbles was fab! Good service & a fun crowd.

Yelp
It must be me, but I have never eaten a great meal in the meat packing district so I was hoping that Fleisch would break the mould. Unfortunately, it didn't. The location is fine and the staff are great and byCopenhagen standards the service was ok ( I'm from Amsterdam so I ama connoisseur of bad service). The big disappointment came from the least expected corner - the meat ! The sirloin steak was just very poor quality. The taste was fine but even my own-brought Laguiole knife struggled with the tough meat. If you are a butcher by day then you should know better.

Adrianne R.

Yelp
we did an early dinner here on a sunday, the food was delicious and staff couldn't have been more kind and accommodating. good vibes.

Yelp
I was looking for a restaurant with an interesting tasing menu that was not overly expensive and had a reservation available. I got lucky with Fleisch. I was dining alone and felt welcomed and valued by the staff. I was seated at a lovely table and was immediately given a menu and was brought some of the most delicious bread and fresh butter ever. I ordered the 5 course tasting menu and each course was delicious. The white asparagus was my favorite, but the short rib in wine sauce was also superb. The beef was melt in your mouth, but retained the beefy texture and flavor. I had 2 glasses of wine to accompany my meal and the bill did not break the bank. I highly recommend Fleisch,

Yelp
Great little restaurant in a trendy area that used to be a meat packing district. I arrived at around 6:15pm on a Wednesday and the place was empty. The hostess sat me a little way back in the restaurant which was fine by me, since I was dining alone. A very nice waitress came and took my drink order right away. I asked her for recommendations and she suggested the Williams Scream, which was fantastic. Light, smooth, refreshing on a beautiful, warm summer day. I asked her if she would recommend anything and she suggested the Butcher's Menu. I asked her what was in it and she rattled off what seemed to be a long list of dishes. Turns out it was 7 courses plus a snack. I'll list the courses but only comment on the standouts. That said, everything was pretty good. Pork croquette with tartar sauce Soft shelled crab Smoke veal jaws on toast Broccoli with cream cheese and dried beef heart Steak tartare Lamb sweetbread Pork sausage with asparagus The soft shelled crab came on a leaf of lettuce with some hot chilis. The combination of fresh vegetables worked really well with the fried crab. The crab itself was meaty and crunchy. The steak tartare was very tender and had a really strong, rich beef taste. The lamb sweetbread was by far my favorite. Beautiful thin crust, tender inside. Rich without being too fatty. Great food, great drinks, great service. I'll definitely be back.

Dmytro Bihniak B.

Yelp
Very tasty sandwiches but a little pricey. Good beer and cider, which can accompany nice flavors of the food.

Gregory K.

Yelp
Great meat dishes and some no meat too. Indoor and outdoor tables at the old Meatpacking District, where there is a hip vibe in this converted meatpacking industry complex. VERY crowded on Friday and Saturday nights--reservations are a must! Worth the effort.

Max M.

Yelp
Wow, this was truly a 5 star experience from the service, food, ambiance. Everything. The food was truly different in its own way, perfectly cooked. Fresh tastes that all blended well on the palate. You will leave this restaurant feeling full and well fed but not stuffed or sick. For someone that said this restaurant is expensive- it is very reasonable for Copenhagen. Our meal came out to 1100Dk which include 4 alcoholic drinks, a 3 course meal which included 4 starter appetizers, 2 main course meals, 2 desserts. ( 2 cappuccinos; which were on the house to our surprise)
google avatar

Ivan O.

Yelp
Wow! Great value for the quality. It's expensive by the standards of most other places and in the slightly higher than average range for this part of Copenhagen. However, you will not be disappointed. Service, atmosphere, food, and drinks were all superb. Will definitely go again given the chance.

Yelp
One of my favourite restaurants in Copenhagen. A bit off the beaten path in Kobenhavn, we came for a late dinner and were able to get a table without a reservation. We ordered: -starters including steak tartar, white salmon, prosciutto and gnocchi -sea bass as the main in a very rich sauce -baked alaska: a meringue-based dessert Pricey, but the unique taste and legit portions were worth every penny!

Yelp
We crashed this place as a big group (9 people), including a vegetarian. The waiter was upset ("Did you see that the name of this restaurant is meat?") but accommodated him professionally nonetheless. We all had the 3-course dinner (with pork). Let me just say that there was enough variety of dishes to satisfy anyone looking for culinary adventures. I especially liked the beef sampler (which I remember was a gift from the chef, according to the waiter) - it's the rare melt-in-your-mouth kind of meat. At the end of the meal we were all delighted, content and very full. Thanks waiter!
google avatar

Peter W.

Yelp
Great spot, good service. What we didn't know was that the menu changes daily and there are only three to four items max. Those with specific eating habits would Not be happy. Call ahead or check online before you go. Pricey.

Yelp
Fleisch had been recommended to us for dinner, so we reserved a table and came here to check out their 'The Butcher's Menu' tasting menu. I'd certainly not seen a restaurant like it before - a butcher shop by day and meat-focused eatery and bar by evening. Our table was right in front of their meat counter, so I had half a pig's face in my peripheral vision which made me start to feel a bit guilty of what was to follow. The staff here were terrific - we thought the menu was going to be five courses but were told whilst we were ordering that we'd actually be having seven servings: "A bit of fish, a bit of vegetables, nothing sweet, mostly meat." Everything we had was enjoyable, with the exception of the crab/lobster claws which didn't really have much meat on them. The stand out dish was the beef tartare served in a bone. For 375K each (just shy of £40) we had a lovely, interesting meal out.

Yelp
Delicious food and cocktails in a young hip atmosphere. Staff friendly and attentive and ambiance is fun and cozy.

Yelp
We stopped in for a drink and snack or dessert. We sat at the bar. Good service. Friendly crew. Drinker were good. We ordered the apple beignets and an appetizer of salted beef, hollandaise, and salsify (I had not had it before). I loved the bread and butter with bacon on top (nice smoky flavor!). The apple beignets were so good. Covered with cinnamon sugar, hot from the fryer, and served with cardamom ice cream. Yum!

Yelp
Fleisch, Your good food saved your ass. There were so many mishaps in that Sunday morning brunch Mina K, Anders A. and I attended as written in Mina K. review. It was a bit odd that they served (The Butcher's) brunch the way they served a 3-meal course (or more) by waiting until I finished with one before serving another, because we all know brunch is brunch and we would like to have everything in sight so we can devise a best strategy to munch them all (and to instagram it, obviously). But no, the brunch came bit by bit so I was continuously surprised on how much food that the brunch actually includes. At first I thought it was too expensive for a bowl of bread and a plate of charcuterie for 195 kr, but then the salad with buffalo mozarella, scrambled egg with penny bun mushrooms and bacon, leverpostej, and the plate of fruit, strudel and ice cream came. Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming for me, so make sure you are really hungry before you dare to take the challenge to have the butcher's brunch. There was a bit misunderstanding at first about the poultry content of the brunch since I don't eat poultry at all and the waitress said that there was no poultry in it, not even when I said specifically "duck sausage". Nope, but there it was, sitting on my charcuterie plate, but it's all good since they removed that plate and replaced me with a new one, sans quack. I can testify one thing, the food is good. The bacon? oh my god. So crispy, so tasty - and I do judge a brunch place by the way they do their bacon, but of course this place being an actual butcher should do good bacon, or else... I didn't try the leverpostej, but they looked homemade and tasty and Mina K could testify to that. The scrambled egg was a bit runny but the bacon saved the day, definitely! As for the tomato salad, well - I don't always eat salad, but when I do, I make sure they're slathered in ridiculous amount of dressing, or cheese and in this case the buffalo mozarella was super YUM so I finished with a clean plate. All in all, the food was amazing, the service was slow, but since the food was so good, I am willing it to give it four star. Imma giving you a second chance, Fleisch, but that's because you're so YUM!

Yelp
You're not gonna find many tourists here, that's for damn sure. This isn't your traditional Danish restaurant you'll read about in your travel books. This is a locals spot and for the locals who love great food as well as appreciate the local food movement. Sandwiched between some highly rated restaurants in Vestebro, the meatpacking district of Copenhagen you'll find this butcher/restaurant. In this super burgeoning 'hood with a ton of foodie restaurants filled with the ever so hip and beautiful, Fleisch fits right in. Dark, candlelight, a little hipstery; nailing that upscale casual vibe. A meat forward menu, but alas veggies and even a fish dish can be found. From their food to their cocktails (but not actually their beer), they source local. As I learned from our bartender, they aren't ones to waste any part of the plants or animals. The sausage we ate was all done in house. The order a whole pig from a nearby farm and use said whole pig. Did I mention that this is a butcher shop by day? Yep. Butcher shop/casual sandwich eatery by day, gourmand small plates (they aren't that small) by night. They suggested 3-4 plates per person, in all actuality, 2 would be fine and me and the hubs are big eaters. Every dish was so flavorful, so fresh, so well prepared. This was a few weeks back and they change the menu often, so bare with me. A few highlights in some form: - Pumpkin ravioli, chorizo, hazelnut and sage - Quail with chestnuts and blackberry sauce - Danish Vibygård Lamb with beetroots and smoked purée of celeriac and goat cheese As well as a few others not found on the online menu. Every bite. Every bite was so rich, so tasty. The cocktail man is literally the man. We talked for the 2 hours we were posted up at the bar and I can't speak more highly of a stranger. Highlights include a bacon infused manhattan and a duck fat sazerac with actual homemade duck fat syrup. All syrups are made in house. Creative food and cocktail menus that focus on and highlight local products, mixed with the wonderful and attentive service in this hip upscale butcher/restaurant makes this easily one of the better dinners in our European trip. 5 stars. As a former New Yorker, now Bay Area gal, Fleisch matches some of the best meals I've eaten in NYC, San Francisco and the likes. End meal costs about $100 USD pp, but we left full and with about 4-5 cocktails/beer included.

Yelp
Butcher/restaurant with a very interesting mix of vibes. You're sitting at a place that completely looks like a butcher shop, including the hanging meat at the back and a pig's head and fresh meat in the vitrine, but at the same time the candle light and nicely set tables create the feeling of a trendy restaurant. We ordered the Butcher's menu which included 7 shared dishes. The service was very fast and new dishes kept coming sometimes even before we finished the previous one. As the name implies there were a lot of meat dishes, and all of them were fresh and with great flavor combinations. My favorites were the homemade mozzarella cheese that came with the beetroots, the veal terrine and the pork croquettes. By the seventh dish we were really full and they had saved the sausage with mashed potatoes for last! Great experience and great food. I guess the only reason for ranking it only at three stars is that I don't see myself coming here again necessarily. Maybe the whole butcher concept isn't for me, and I crave a different atmosphere. But can definitely recommend this place for any meat lover!

Yelp
Great place, with cosy environment and nice staff. We tried a set menu where we got some ducky-snacks as starter, quite a good treat! After that we got some inventive piggy meat balls with cucumber mayo, also some interesting taste combinations. After that we got some mussles - tasted a little but like swedish "blodpudding" - if you like it, Malmö is just across the sea where you can get large packs of blodpudding back home to your native country. Then we got some tartar beef with jam - very good taste and interesting flavours. Then we got some calve meat, lamb with barbecue sauce and "ramslök" (can also be found in Sweden - on the island of Gotland, but that is further away than Malmö). The best dish was duck with beetroot, highly recommended with a very enjoyable taste. Well worth a visit, if a table is not available at this restaurant there are many other good alternatives in the area. Enjoy!

Yelp
This place is decked out with the full-on nordic vibe. Wood, sheepskins, and lots of candles all in a converted butcher shop. Our server was so great and I was impressed with the service we received all night. The wine and cocktail were good, and the dishes we tried. Several of the a la carte items were smaller than I'd expect, but our server did give us a heads up as we ordered to make sure we knew what to expect. Warm bread to start might have been some of the best I'd ever had. The meatpacking district is great and this is one of the dining stops I'd go to again.

Yelp
We went here to celebrate my dad's birthday while we were in Copenhagen, and found Fleich on Yelp, and after looking at the menu, we decided to give it a try. We showed up around 5:45, and it looked like they were just opening up for dinner. We were the only guest when we arrived, but the place was quite crowded by the time we left. We went with the butcher's menu with the wine list, and while this was one of the more pricy items, it was worth every penny. Every single course, from the starters to the Faroe Island salmon to the steak, was absolutely phenomenal. And they definitely know how to pair their wines with the food. Our main waiter (they tend to tag team tables) ended up being one of the restaurant managers. He seemed to be improvising the wine selection, but boy did he make some great choices. It was some of the most delicious wine and food I've ever had. It was one of the most memorable dining experiences I've had. Overall, yes this place is pricy, but if you are celebrating a special occasion, or if you don't mind spending a little more money for a quality meal, this is absolutely worth every penny. Great food and a great experience! Also, I would recommend making a reservation if you are looking to eat around 8 or so. If you go earlier, you shouldn't have a problem walking in.

Yelp
Amazing place, you will enjoy the atmosphere and the food is top notch. My wife and I were vacationing in there and it was a nice romantic dinner. We both loved the menu and the drinks were good too. Strongly recommend this place.

Yelp
Came here for a late lunch on a rainy weekday along this strip of hipster restaurants. This was a perfect spot for such occasion. We both got the fish fillet with shrimps on top. The green sauce around the shrimps was very good. I liked the vibe, and the food didn't disappoint. If I lived in Copenhagen, this would be a go to spot for me.

Yelp
We walked in at 10am sharp for brunch on Sunday, and were greeted with a cheeky, "I hope you're hungry.." from our server. (Un)fortunately, we were very hungry! After ordering, we waited about 15 minutes and I got my Bloody Mary. It was one of the better ones I've had but at 95 kr I think it is a little steep.. a relatively small glass and not even a celery stalk! Then Eva K. got her brunch board. She politely waited to eat until I got my food, which was a little over 5 minutes later. I don't think it's a good idea to serve customers at the same table that far apart, and the wait seems even longer when you're hungry and looking at someone else's food! Eventually my Steak and Eggs (225 kr) arrived and I dug right in. Probably the best one that I've ever... wait a sec. Doesn't the menu say steak and egg-S-, meaning plural? There was only one egg. Lacking another egg wasn't a deal-breaker but you should strike off the S to stop false advertising. The steak itself was perfectly cooked to medium, as I requested when asked, and the sauce was great. The menu says it comes with beans; I didn't see any but I didn't miss them. Our server kept coming by with more and more plates for Eva's brunch so she certainly got her money's worth! I tried her leverpostej and although I am not normally a fan, it was great. Although the food garners 5 stars, the service was off. Before ordering, Eva K. asked if there was any poultry in the brunch (which she does not eat) and one server assured her that there wasn't. When another server brought the brunch board over, he listed duck sausage as one of the items. When we pointed out this problem, he told us that he'd bring over another frankfurter instead. Eva flagged him down two more times and he said it was on its way but eventually we found out that he was waiting for her to finish the brunch board so they could bring out a frankfurter that she could enjoy hot. Even if we'd been told that in the beginning, that wouldn't have worked out since I got my dish much later and she decided to be considerate and wait. However, he righted the situation by taking away her brunch board and bringing her a completely fresh one with two frankfurters instead of the duck sausage. Nice save! Seeing all the 4 and 5 star reviews, I was disappointed by the service but all's well that ends well. Now I know where to get my steak and eggs fix.

Yelp
I'm surprised by some of the negative comments on Fleisch on here! I had a great experience. I had talked to a local and they said to go to the meat packing district for dinner and Fleisch was one of the ones that popped up. We got a reservation for 9/9:30 and ended up showing up a bit early, but was seated right away. The place was packed. We ended up going doing the six course meal to share and was very full by the end. I can't remember every dish name, but the ones that really stood out to me was the bone marrow steak tartare (YUMMMMMM), the sirloin and the dessert. By the time we got the sirloin, I was already pretty full, but it was done so well, which is medium rare :) then the dessert was something like a baked Alaska. I don't think I had room by the dessert had come, but the dessert was so good that I forced it down. Definitely a favorite as I had saw a few other tables get the same dessert. A good selection of beers as well. I thought the service was good and we were the last ones to leave the restaurant, but never did I feel like I was rushed out. I loved this place andwished I could have tried brunch here.

Yelp
Very nice and its menu is meant for sharing. Very innovative and very reasonable pricing for Norwegian standards.

Yelp
We went on a Sunday and still this place was popping. Our service was fantastic. Obviously this place is more expensive but if you want to eat like the Danes and not break the bank, this is your place. The smoked salmon was delicious plus the ice cream and whip cream at the end was intriguing and delicious

Yelp
Simply fabulous! We came in with a group of 12 and they were flexible and sat us immediately at a table reserved for 2 hours later. We all ordered the Bøf and it was spot on! The caramelized fried onions and sauce perfectly complemented the 8 week aged generously cut sirloin steaks. Highly recommended.

Kathy G.

Yelp
Amazing food and experience! We did a fixed menu which served an assortment of appetizers and desserts and then each of us was able to choose an entree. The pork entree and dark chocolate mousse dessert were my favorite. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
We came in around 20:00-21:00, it was fully packed. The staff was friendly and effective. We had the chefs menu (7 courses 325kr pp) which was exquisite. The grune veltliner completed it beautifully. Great music and atmosphere. The only downside is that are stay is too short to go back here again.

Greg P.

Yelp
Cool place in meat packing district. Formerly a butcher shop. Sirloin strip was great, as was the flank steak. Be careful of the skate (fish) as the amount of bones was ridiculous. Great staff
google avatar

Chad B.

Yelp
Very nice ambience. Great service. Great food. We had a large steak and two small tapas-like dishes, and that was plenty for two. Came early on a Friday night, and things filled up completely very quickly. Very nice part of Copenhagen. Food was very good. I had ceviche and white asparagus with hollandaise, prosciutto, and white truffles. All very fine!

Yelp
We made a reservation at Fleisch weeks in advance. When we arrived the hostess had trouble getting us a table, and the one we got was very uncomfortable and next to a trash can. When we asked if we could move to another table once it was free she said she would keep an eye out and notify us immediately. When the waiter came we wanted to ask his advise on the cocktail menu, but he made it very clear that he was much too busy and literally told my girlfriend to "just order that one!" So we ordered drinks and asked him for a food menu. The drinks came, the food menu didn't. We were just sitting there waiting, while the waiter kept apologizing to the people next to us because their food was late, but paid no attention to us. We even started wondering if this was because we are a gay couple. In the meantime, some tables became available but the hostess never notitified us and the tables were taken by other people. After over half an hour of just sitting there we asked the waiter for the check. When he brought us the check he said that "there's a good pizza place around the corner." Incredibly rude, non apologetic. We will never be becoming back here and will certainly spread the word about the bad service at this place.

Yelp
Limited menu but the idea of eating in a butcher shop sounded interesting so we went for it. We ordered the full"everything" option which includes a glass of cava, appetizer, main, dessert, wine, coffee and water. Started with comp chicken pate with a berry topping, yum and great with cava. Next a comp pork meatball or sorts, also yum. Delish smoked salmon dish (German Riesling) along with homemade fennel bread and o loved the tartar served artfully in a bone with a light but delish French Pinot. Then another comp dashi dish before the most nummy pork (barbera) and beef sirloin cooked oh so perfect with a Spanish cab blend. Homemade ice cream and fruit for dessert along with a dessert wine I can't recall but was nice with the fruit. In lieu of coffee they offered a apple aperitif. Everything homemade, organic meat, fresh and perfect. Ended up at about $100 per but that's half of the cost if we were in our own hometown. Service attentive. Ur not overbearing, super friendly. Wish we were here for the seasonal menu change in a few weeks!
