Fleischer's Hotel, nestled in the heart of Voss, Norway, is a vintage treasure that seamlessly blends history with modern comfort. Established in 1864, the hotel boasts a rich heritage, making every stay a step back in time. One of its most notable historical moments is the visit of King Rama V of Thailand in 1907, adding an extra touch of grandeur to its already illustrious past.

What an awesome location overlooking water. The outdoor terrace is beautiful. You could lounge and have drinks. Or eat food. Food was absolutely great. Loved the chicken kebab

We loved our two nights here. Room was spacious. Common areas are filled with fabulous antiques and artwork. Staff was very nice. The breakfast buffet was amazing, with five flavors of yogurt, eight granola, several fresh bread and danish, three kinds of eggs, potatoes, meatballs, fresh fruit, lots of cold meats and cheese. Fabulous!

My wife and I loved this hotel! Great breakfast, great view, and best part was the friendly staff. Gen at the front desk was awesome! She helped us get the room of our dreams and went above and beyond to make our 40th anniversary very special. We will go back to this hotel next time we are in Voss.

Charming and lovely hotel. Staff were very helpful and gave great information. Would stay here again and highly recommend. Their breakfast was plentiful and amazing. The bar and terrace were quite beautiful and when the weather was nice we really enjoyed sitting outside looking out over the lake.

Beautiful hotel, in a beautiful location. I was only one night but enjoyed every bit of it. The decorations, staff, breakfast. I don’t have any complains and loved the place.

A nice building approximately 150 years old. Beautifully decorated ambience with items from the past. Excellent location. But. If you want to rest and the same evening they have a party, you won't get much sleep... the soundproofing is old and bad. Nowhere in the reservation does it say that we need to report the parking lot for the car, nor did they tell us that at the reception...of course, after a few days, the bill arrived. We had breakfast included, but due to our early departure, we asked for a takeaway meal. They wanted to charge us 200 kr per meal... quite expensive and not fair play. Overall, the hotel has great potential, but a lot needs to be changed to get good reviews.

A fairy tale appearance from the outside..that is where it stops.|1) Access with luggage from parking lot not easy|2) Large patio a great place for a Happy Hour drink|3) Dinner at Heckman’s restaurant absolutely terrible and expensive|We ordered the lamb at NOK 415. It arrived 5 minutes later. So is it ready to go and just microwaved before being served? The lamb was dry, vegeta undercooked and too much saus for potatoes to float around in.|4) We ordered twin room. That was ok,,, but we heard talking, tv, walking and washroom sounds from the rooms around us.|So at the end not a heat experience.

Yelp
Nothing compares to the history of this hotel and the impact of this family to the local area. This is a MUST stay at hotel. If you coordinate coorectly you can take a free staff-led tour of the hotel - I can't overstate how worth it that is in learning more about this walking history piece. If you can't coordinate dates, still meander around and read about the items in the hotel and who stayed there in the past. We stayed in room 207 which has a private balcony overlooking the water and the views are just indescribable. The staff is great and very helpful and friendly. I do regret not taking a dunk in the pool and jacuzzi followed by the sauna (all inside on the lowest floor). The room was very large and had a sofa, large tv, nespresso maker, balcony 2 chair and bistro table. The bathroom had a fancy toilet, sink and a bit awkward shower where two glass doors come together to make it a box type of shower. They had headed floors and even a heated towel rack. Ther is no iron or room safe. This hotel is literally accessible from the train station platform by walking down a short ramp. The restaurant also has very good food and a breakfast buffet that was fresh and well stocked. This is a MUST STAY hotel. And thank you to the Fleischer family for keeping this treasure alive and thriving.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel in Voss! The views are just stunning. It is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Our room was very nice, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had the dinner and breakfast buffets and the food was very tasty. I wish we could have stayed here more than just one night.

Yelp
We were on a bus tour from our Ship and we stopped at this hotel for lunch. It must be a good ski area because they have a train stop too. We had a good luck and a nice break on our tour. I did some geocacheing outside and found were on had been placed but it was damaged by a bus.

Yelp
Quite worn down. They advertise with local food. Ordered two bacon and cheese burgers and a pasta with bacon. The burgers where over done even though they were ordered medium-rare. All the adjoining ingredienses where not well put together and tasteless. It is not enough with quality local ingredienses when they are cooked properly. Dissapointing!

Yelp
Stayed at Fleischer's for a family reunion this weekend. The hotel has a great location and is close to downtown. It has a unique and old fashion look. Not too impressed with the hotels amenities. There were no flat iron in the hotel room, and no shampoo or conditioner. The rooms were not very clean either. The swimming pool was really cold, and we had to pay extra to use the jacuzzi. The dinner buffet was not very impressive either. There were not a lot of food selection for the kids. The breakfast buffet was a lot better. It was also difficult to get access to a microwave or anything to heat up food/bottles for infants. The hotel is pricy, but we got a group discount. A fun weekend, but a little disappointed after paying a lot of money.

Yelp
I stayed in the motel (located 100 m away from the main hotel building) and was not particularly impressed. The hotel and motel locations are undoubtedly convenient for any traveller, for which a hefty rate is charged. The best part of the motel room is the kitchenette: it is rather well stocked and clean, good for 4 guests. However I repeatedly failed to contact the reception from the room phone, the wifi was not accessible from the motel and the walls to the neighboring rooms were way too thin. Additionally, the information on the hotel website is very meager, the information in the room is not much better (unless you are mainly interested in the hotel's history)
