Lovely looking hotel but not kept up with the times!|Peculiar lift system and not designed well with the extension. Most rooms involve use of stairs. |Ours was at the back RIGHT ON the train station, actually over hanging it so windows could not be left open overnight and the a/c is minimal. Even with the double glazed windows you could hear the trains that ran through the night and hear the announcements. |Decent sized room and good shower. Plenty or wardrobe and shelf space. All a bit tired though. |Good breakfast though evening meal was a bit disappointing; rather bland and school meal like. |Lovely location and views from the front. Good bar and veranda. Dated swimming pool in basement, changing rooms boiling and busy so didn’t use it. |Convenient for station!!!

This hotel still retains a family run atmosphere. We had a beautiful room over looking the lake and mountain. Very clean and good hot shower. Our meals were standard and breakfast was inviting. |The owner chatted to us each evening meal which was lovely. |The station being so close has it’s downfall as they announcements can be heard in the rooms.

Spent 2 nights during a guided tour through Norway. Family owned quaint hotel with a very rich history. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are dated but comfortable. Food was great. Ask about the smoked sheep's head for dinner!

Fleisher’s location couldn’t be beat! The historical side was cool and we had the best room + balcony overlooking the lake. Shower pressure was ridiculously great and the high-tech toilet was enjoyed! Room was clean and even though it was antique furniture, it was still in great shape and clean. The patio in the front was lovely and we enjoyed spending time out there. The only downside was the bar. Super expensive drinks and not made very well, although the bartender tried! He was very nice! The food we ordered was very tasty! And the breakfast was very good, with a lot of variety.

Terrible from start to finish.|We were allocated a room at the back on top of the train station, outdated, hot, had to open windows but then had to put up with train noise, announcements at all hours. Consequently had terrible sleep. The lift brought us up to level 3A but still had to climb stairs with heavy luggage. Reception staff were rude. Hotel stunk of stale urine. Realise it is heritage listed but seriously in need of refurbishment. You can maintain old world charm and still bring it up to 20th century! Breakfast was limited. Only good thing was views onto lake at breakfast. |The worst thing was that they charged us again for room on checkout, despite us paying for it a year ago, and they didn’t even let us know they were charging us. We later discovered it whilst walking to bus terminal.|I would not stay here again if you paid me too!

Good free parking. Room was average. Breakfast was good. Most of the breakfast items were not labled, jams, cheeses, yogurts with no way to know the kind/flavor. Short walk into the village. Staff were nice.

This hotel is reminiscent of train hotels in the national parks in the U.S. that would cost $1000 or more a night. Enjoy the history of this place while still having a great location. Servers at the restaurant were very kind.

Possibly my favorite hotel room. Gorgeous room, large yet cozy, with an unparalleled view of the lake and mountains. This hotel has a great restaurant, great bar and lounge, great pool and hot tub, great location (right next to the gondola), friendly staff, and soooo many spaces to tuck away and relax. Closest we've ever come to an old-world grand hotel (like Wes Anderson's Grand Budapest Hotel :).

Yelp
Nothing compares to the history of this hotel and the impact of this family to the local area. This is a MUST stay at hotel. If you coordinate coorectly you can take a free staff-led tour of the hotel - I can't overstate how worth it that is in learning more about this walking history piece. If you can't coordinate dates, still meander around and read about the items in the hotel and who stayed there in the past. We stayed in room 207 which has a private balcony overlooking the water and the views are just indescribable. The staff is great and very helpful and friendly. I do regret not taking a dunk in the pool and jacuzzi followed by the sauna (all inside on the lowest floor). The room was very large and had a sofa, large tv, nespresso maker, balcony 2 chair and bistro table. The bathroom had a fancy toilet, sink and a bit awkward shower where two glass doors come together to make it a box type of shower. They had headed floors and even a heated towel rack. Ther is no iron or room safe. This hotel is literally accessible from the train station platform by walking down a short ramp. The restaurant also has very good food and a breakfast buffet that was fresh and well stocked. This is a MUST STAY hotel. And thank you to the Fleischer family for keeping this treasure alive and thriving.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel in Voss! The views are just stunning. It is within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. Our room was very nice, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We had the dinner and breakfast buffets and the food was very tasty. I wish we could have stayed here more than just one night.

Yelp
We were on a bus tour from our Ship and we stopped at this hotel for lunch. It must be a good ski area because they have a train stop too. We had a good luck and a nice break on our tour. I did some geocacheing outside and found were on had been placed but it was damaged by a bus.

Yelp
Quite worn down. They advertise with local food. Ordered two bacon and cheese burgers and a pasta with bacon. The burgers where over done even though they were ordered medium-rare. All the adjoining ingredienses where not well put together and tasteless. It is not enough with quality local ingredienses when they are cooked properly. Dissapointing!

Yelp
Stayed at Fleischer's for a family reunion this weekend. The hotel has a great location and is close to downtown. It has a unique and old fashion look. Not too impressed with the hotels amenities. There were no flat iron in the hotel room, and no shampoo or conditioner. The rooms were not very clean either. The swimming pool was really cold, and we had to pay extra to use the jacuzzi. The dinner buffet was not very impressive either. There were not a lot of food selection for the kids. The breakfast buffet was a lot better. It was also difficult to get access to a microwave or anything to heat up food/bottles for infants. The hotel is pricy, but we got a group discount. A fun weekend, but a little disappointed after paying a lot of money.

Yelp
I stayed in the motel (located 100 m away from the main hotel building) and was not particularly impressed. The hotel and motel locations are undoubtedly convenient for any traveller, for which a hefty rate is charged. The best part of the motel room is the kitchenette: it is rather well stocked and clean, good for 4 guests. However I repeatedly failed to contact the reception from the room phone, the wifi was not accessible from the motel and the walls to the neighboring rooms were way too thin. Additionally, the information on the hotel website is very meager, the information in the room is not much better (unless you are mainly interested in the hotel's history)
