I really enjoyed the full dome presentation, such a cool and unique experience! The space is small and cozy, which makes it feel really personal. The guide was super knowledgeable and shared so much great info. I also loved checking out the displays and exhibits. Overall, it made for a really fun and relaxing evening!

I visited on Friday 20, 2024 in December. Small but out of this world. Bring the kids in your life and your inner child too. There’s (very limited and free) reserved parking across the foot bridge on the third floor of the parking structure. Snag a permit from the staff and be sure to read the signs to prevent a parking ticket. Apply those savings in the little gift shop to support the museum.

Google
Small but excellent educational activity. Admission is only a few dollars and parking is free on weekends. I have elementary aged kids and this place is perfect. We can stop in, watch a dome show, and spend 15 minutes learning something new. It is easy to access, so we come more often and enjoy it more. I used to visit a large planetarium in Chicago that was impressive but expensive and an all day commitment with challenging parking. This community planetarium is simple, affordable, and welcoming. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful.

Google
I’ve loved the Planetarium since I was a kid! It’s such a fun and unique experience, perfect for kids to learn a little science while having a great time. The shows are always fascinating and really affordable too. The kids have a blast with the exhibits and the gift shop every time we go. Such a great place!

Google
Awesome place to visit if you’re into space exploration! The show presentation room is super nice, and while the exhibit area is small, it’s really informative. Plus, free parking on the weekends is a nice bonus!

Google
The most underrated thing to do in Reno! Super fun and actually really educational. It was a great time with some really cute exhibits! Totally recommend!

The Star Wars precursor to the Roddenberry awards for the best short science sci-fi film festival. This year was absolutely amazing. We had a fantastic time. The winner was MT Nestor !! the Star Wars effects were great the Director and host was fantastic. Everyone was very nice and costumes were had.!! The super tall guy in black, Lord Vader, was intimidating as usual ! All the films we got to watch were wonderful really all-around an amazing night!!! thank you to the Fleishman Planetarium at UNR!!

Google
Extremely disappointing experience. The planetarium was advertised as free, but when we arrived, we were unexpectedly charged at the entrance - no explanation, just a demand for payment. Most of the machines and interactive exhibits were broken or out of order. Honestly, there was nothing interesting to see. To make things worse, the place was filled with random items that had nothing to do with astronomy - like a sarcophagus, Iron Man masks, and other bizarre decorations. It felt more like a chaotic storage room than an educational space. Total waste of time and money. We came expecting a meaningful and inspiring experience about space and science, and instead got a messy, disorganized letdown. Would not recommend.

Yelp
What a fun place to explore! If you set your expectations that this isn't a huge planetarium, and check the showtimes before you go, adults will have a fun time. Little ones (6 and under) will enjoy the age geared show. The sun dome in the center of the planetarium is where the shows are held. It's not huge inside, maybe a dozen rows. Kids won't stay quiet so be prepared for that while you watch the toddler show, but still really fun. Before the actual show starts they show constellations and views of space. Such a cool learning experience for littles and a reminder of how small we all are on this planet. Downstairs there is interactive astronaut stuff and a bunch of movies memorabilia. Upstairs is a beautiful moon display with a lot of American history. Bathrooms clean! Plentiful parking. Pay attention to signs. There's a walkway straight to the planetarium entrance.

Yelp
This is the best place for decades, for young and old ! People who came as kids bring their own kids here The educational displays and exhibits are so great, well done and just FUN. They have a Tardis, how cool is that ? The shows have huge variety and there are outdoor viewing parties. Gift shop has unique items, not overpriced. We shop here at Christmas. Prices are reasonable and senior discounts available. A Reno gem forever !

Yelp
I'm really unsure what to make of our recent visit to the Planetarium. We were all excited to go since we have been doing the library's summer reading program and learned they offer a $5 off adult admission offer with your library card, so that's pretty cool! That being said, it's not a cheap activity to do with your kids...2 kids & 1 adult was $30 with my library discount. We arrived early for the show, and my kids had a blast exploring the hands-on activities around the theater. The show was supposed to start at 7:30pm, but as the crowd accumulated around the stairs I noticed it was already 7:36, and the guide (who I think was a student, more on that later...) was still giving his spiel, but OK. By the time everyone was seated in the theater, the guide began his lecture. This is why I assumed he was a student and somehow, this was part of his studies...because he spoke for at least 20 minutes. I'm not sure how long he actually spoke as unfortunately, my son began feeling ill so we decided to leave. On the way out, I asked the other staff member if all the shows included a lengthy "talk" at the beginning, he said "yes, about 30 minutes"!!! What?!?! So a 30 minute lecture THEN you get to see a 30 minute show? How do they expect younger kids to sit thru a lecture when they came to see a movie about stars? That seems like something a student may have to do to complete their program, maybe? Oh, and a good few minutes was spent trying to convince people to sign up for a telescope subscription so they could see the stars at home, actually point the telescopes, take photos, download them to their devices...all came across as very pitchy. Seems like you should have a choice whether to stick around for a student lecture and pitch on Slooh membership AFTER the shop you've paid for, not be held captive before. My kids really want to return and see the movie, but I'm hesitant if we're forced to sit thru another lecture segment. Don't get me wrong, the exhibits and activities are great, the staff was freindly, but 1/2 the "show" time is lecture wasn't what we were expecting or wanted to do.

Yelp
Fleischmann planetarium has the potential to be more. It has a lot of great information and items to show case however the building is outdated. The show was an additional cost aside from the entry fee. Gift shop and staff were nice
google avatar

Yelp
Great destination for kids or the curious adult. A $10 admission fee for seniors and students ($15adult) is well worth it. With your admission you can pick from one of three short video features shown in the 360 degree theater. You will walk away not only entertained but also slightly more knowledgeable of our inter-terrestrial world.

Yelp
Reno isn't a place for culture and neither is the planetarium. First, instead of nice seats with a padded headrest to support your neck--you get a card chair. No neck rest. Hard to concentrate while uncomfortable. I have been in other cities and the shows were interesting and the seats were comfortable. Once was enough

Yelp
Got to visit the Planetarium while in Reno and watched their Black Hole special. We went at their latest show time and there were only three other parties for a total of 8 people. I guess masks are currently optional as the tour guide didn't wear a mask either. The show is approximately 1.5 hours long, which included a "documentary" of the Black Hole, talks about the current night sky from Reno's POV, the Planetarium and its involvement ins space. Here are some of my thoughts on the experience: - I don't think it suites well for kids because the language they use is actually quite scientific and needs quite a bit of brain energy to follow. - They don't need proof for student discount I believe, so if you forgot your student ID, no worries you can still pay the cheaper price. - The documentary is pretty amazing, it feels like you are sitting on a ride. Also, I think having it in a 360 POV really does make a big difference. - Free NASA Calendars which is big plus. - The biggest reason why I'm giving the Planetarium a 3 stars is because the seats were extremely uncomfortable and my neck had a big knot afterwards. - The staff are actually so nice and kind and willing to share all that they know. Overall, I think its a pretty solid experience and would recommend if coming to Reno, but be mentally prepared that the seats might hurt.

Yelp
Just like I remembered as a kid. It's small and quaint but packed full of information. This is definitely an educational experience made fun. My group of age ranging kids loved the movie about time travel. The staff was super friendly and gave a very informative presentation before the movie. We loved learning about the stars, constellations, planets. and mythological astronomy. My children learned a lot of new words and came home with a thirst for learning more. I was thrilled to hear they were able to get new grants to update and add more! We look forward to this in the years to come.

Yelp
Every time I stopped by Reno, Fleischmann Planetarium is always on of my stops. I'm mean doesn't enjoys learning more about the planets, Comets, Sun, Moons , Stars and so on??! Iol! I guess I'm just a geek like that! ;) I truly enjoy the exhibits and all the models of the planets orbiting and they have videos explaining each planet how they was discovered the list goes on and on. You will definitely, have fun while at the planetarium. The have shows inside that are pretty cool. I normally, like the shows explaining the bodies off water like The Nile I've watch the last time I was here and it was fantastic! This time around the only showing they have is Pink Floyd...sigh! Then weather permitting they have late night shows where you can watch the sky from the Planetarium's telescopes, I have tons of fun doing this. If I'm not mistaken they only do this when schools out? I could be wrong, but when I when school was definitely out for summer. The gift shop is everything I never leave with out buying something and lots of time I go overboard lol. I love the freeze dried Ice Cream, Rock Candy, Lyons mints, Freeze Dried space food, necklaces etc... They also sell board games, Puzzles, Telescopes and so much more. It's something for everyone in this shop! The customer service is okay. The young man that helped seemed to be possible new to the job and instead of using the register to ring me up he used a calculator instead? He didn't really give much eye contact and after making my purchase never said, Thank you, but did say have a good day! Maybe he's new to customer service lol! Overall, I thoroughly enjoy Fleischmann Planetarium and this will always be my to go spot. It's located on The University of Reno campus. You drive in the parking garage to the 3 floor parking , go inside the planetarium and get a free parking permit or you will be towed!

Yelp
What a great activity we have right here in town. If you are into stars and the universe then this is the spot for you. They have a small variety of show and a changing exhibit. Parking is free. All you need to do is go inside and ask for a parking permit. You take it back to your car and stick it in the window. The parking garage is just after the entrance to KNPB Channel 5. The gift shop has some unique items. My favorite are magnetic rocks. The customer service here is spot on. I think Olivia was the name of the employee who sold us are tickets. She was very nice.

Yelp
My kids and I recently participated in the JUSTin Hope Foundation Sensory night at the Planetarium. The man that was in charge for the evening and the young lady working the register checking people in were very friendly and understanding. It was so cool to get a chance to experience the planetarium and watch the show in the dome theatre with a "sensory friendly" atmosphere. Thank you so much for reaching out to the special needs community. We'll definitely be back again for the next event. Thank you!!

Yelp
Planetarium show costs $15 per person. You can reserve ahead of time online and pay. Unsure if you have to pay to just see the exhibit. It felt more like a lecture than a show tbh. We all fell asleep somewhere during the 20 minute showing. The order of the show was odd too; not in the typical chronological order ie Big Bang to present day. Chairs were not very comfortable and we had to arch our heads at an off angle to see the full display of the pictures. The most interesting part was right before the showing where they logged into a website that allows them to view telescopes and what the telescopes see in real time. You can ask to look for certain things too during this segment ie black holes, distant solar systems, dying stars, etc. Then they go through what you can see in the night sky ie stars that make different constellations with outlines drawn in ie Ryan's belt, Gemini constellation, etc. Exhibit was small. A whole section about the moon, planets, and astronauts and that was pretty much it. They had displays of gadgets from comics/ movies that referred to space in one way or another. They seemed proud of the architectural design of the planetarium that follows the path of the sun and also the shape of their dome that is painted as a sun.

Yelp
Took the grand-kids here for an outing. They are 3 and 5 years old. The loved the exhibit and wanted to do things over and over again. That is the only reason I am giving it two stars. The show was boring and out of focus. The guy who put it on left the room so he could not fix it. It was also way too loud and was scary to my 3 yr old. I feel the cost is too high for the amount of time in the place. We are seniors and it cost us $6 each plus $6 each for the kids, that is $24 for an hour. Just seems high to me plus you have the cost of the trinkets in the gift shop. All kids want to bring home something neat.

Yelp
My co-workers and I decided to go to the planetarium after work and it was well worth it! Our presenter was kind, funny and very knowledgeable. This is a great spot for children and adults alike! It was very cool to also learn about the history and architecture of the planetarium and it's impact on the community of Reno. The price for a show was very reasonable. I am hoping to attend more shows throughout the year!

D P.

Yelp
5 stars for the staff! Came in with my wheelchair bound daughter. They were extremely accommodating and super friendly! The exhibits were small, but very informative. On the domed screen we did the "Great Planet Adventure". We took a journey to each of the planets in our solar system and had live sky tour with the star chart superimposed. Very neat! Would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Taking kids to here for the shows since my oldest like it so much.. It is a small place.just wish reno has a bigger one ...
google avatar

Yelp
What a Wonderfull little Planetarium, Such a fun place to take children and visit when in Reno. The clerk was so very respectful and kind to our family helping us with a parking pass and every question we had.. The only negative is I do agree with another review that my kids fell asleep during the presentation, but its not like Fleischmann made the film. I do give it five stars and request in the future bring to find films that start at the very basics for little people and folks not up to date with space travel.. We will be back for sure !

Yelp
Tiny tiny planetarium. I was expecting much more and had hyped my kids up so much, they weren't too disappointed because of the activities but I was. The young man in the front was extremely polite and informative.

Yelp
Well done interesting interactive exhibits. Nice gift shop. Short documentaries to view. Not crowded so perfect place to be. Helpful staff.

Yelp
My best friend and I came to Fleischman Planetarium for one thing: The Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon Experience. It was well worth the $6.00 per person ($2.00 off with AAA). The sphere that houses this crazy light show is small and fits maybe twenty people in side. I would recommend sitting towards the back, so you don't have to crane your head so much. The show was made specifically for the album, with each song having corresponding, and trippy as hell imagery. No drugs are needed before the show, because you will get high just by watching. The rest of the planetarium is pretty cool, but low-key. They have a small gift shop area, another room that houses cool galaxyesque stuff, including a simple yet addicting display of how blackholes work. They employees are nice, and parking is free on Saturday. If you're looking for something fun to do in Reno besides get drunk and gamble, check out the planetarium.

Dan W.

Yelp
I wish I could give a higher rating. We were on vacation to Reno. Three of us scheduled a tour for last night. Paul and Jenny were knowledge, patient, and passionate about astronomy. Our stars tour included personal pictures, live look-ins to telescopes, and a 38 minute video presentation. We also enjoyed the other attractions post our star tour. My wife and I have been to observatories in L.A. and Chicago, but this one is our favorite. I Highly recommend taking the personal tour during Covid. You won't ever get a chance to see and learn more. Thanks.

Yelp
This place is a lot of fun. Definitely a great place to come and learn more about space and our universe. Yes, it's dated.. a little sad really. And the actual planetarium is very small and I'd recommend the seats right behind the projector - any more forward and you're straining your neck to view everything. UNR definitely needs to throw a few more $$ the way of the Planetarium - it needs updating and could be a whole lot more fun. Yes there are bigger and better planetariums in other places but don't write it off because it's a little older.
google avatar

Lorrie M.

Yelp
Ok, I understand, for what it's worth, for the kind of town that Reno, NV is and the types of people and the purpose of the people who come to Reno, this planetarium is ok. However, in comparison to any other planetarium I've been to in a popular tourist city, well ... I'm frankly amazed. The planetarium consists of a small theater and a room of about six exhibits some of which are just a rotating planet (i.e. Earth or Moon), and some are merely diagrams of the solar system. It is also out of date because they still have Pluto as a planet. Although the exhibit was free and the theater / show was only $6.00 for an adult ticket, it is not worth your time at all unless you absolutely have NOTHING better to do. I love planetariums and all ... but this one fails :(
google avatar

Rohit B.

Yelp
Went here to watch some movie in the dome theater. Either the projector is misconfigured or broken. The movie felt extremely low-res, as if they were using a $50 portable pocket projector.
google avatar

Kevin C.

Yelp
The planetarium is by far one of Reno's best hidden gems. It has been updated and looks very polished with new paint and exhibits. The shows are cheap and well done and the gift shop is filled with lots of thoughtful items. Don't miss this on your trip through Reno!

Sam E.

Yelp
We had our son's birthday party here and it was great! They have fun shows, displays. Etc. Very clean place, friendly and knowledgeable staff!
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
For a small city such as Reno to have a Planetarium at all is a boon. It's neat that our's is located at the North end of UNR. The facility boasts a theatre in the round, where films are projected onto the inside of a dome above. If you've never viewed programming this way, I highly reccomend it. Don't forget to bring the kids! For a mere $6 adult ticket you can see wonderful features about the world we live in and beyond. Travel Earth's finest landscapes and see nature from a whole new perspective. These shows are easy to get into, starting at times published on the Internet (I usually check the Internet Movie Database), with plenty of parking nearby. The displays could use some updating, but working with limited funds, the plantetarium does the best it can. It has a wonderful telescope that is opened to the public at published times. Admission to the facility is free, but if you can afford to see any of their features, in chairs that recline waaaaaay back, it's a painless method of contributing to the cause while getting a worthwhile experience in return. Viva La Planetarium!
google avatar

Suellen G.

Yelp
My friends n I had a great time. We saw 2 shows..one was Ningaloo:Australia's Other Great Reef and Seasonal Stargazing. They were both great shows for any age. Then after we went into the hands on and saw the globe and even a meteorite that was found close to Tonapah NV but moved to Chicago museum before returning back to the planetarium. I will definitely go back to another show
google avatar

John W.

Yelp
My wife and I had a good time here. We watched two presentations. The seats do not recline so it made watching the backgrounds and direct ceiling coverage difficult and uncomfortable. The staff were all super nice. The exhibits were good and informative. We learned a lot and had a good time

Yelp
On our first visit to the University of Nevada Reno, we decided to go on a picnic lunch. The campus is gorgeous and well kempt. Before our picnic, we headed to the planetarium. We had been to many planetariums on the West Coast. This one was smaller than most. The receiving staff was friendly and helpful. We attended the 1200 showing on Tuesday, June 14th. Inside the planetarium, the slippery seats made it difficult to focus on the sights. However, the worse part was the lack of contrast. You really had to strain to make out the outline of the planets and other sights. The planetarium attendant started the show and then walked out and came back afterwards. Maybe he should pay attention to the lack of clarity of his show. Maybe their equipment was old and a sharper focus was not possible. Overall the planetarium was okay for kids, though parents should learn to control their loud talking and whining. Due to the lack of clarity, the show was a one star. Since it was clean place, I was generous and will give it 2 stars.
google avatar

A C.

Yelp
The museum consists of one small room and one mini movie theatre. Having young kids, this is not entertaining enough. The showswill put my kids to sleep. The exhibit room has 2 large planets rotating, a light map of nevada, some meteorites, and a game to watch ball bearings roll down a funnel. After 5minutes, my kids were bored. There is no interactive free play activity for younger ones at all. It's hard to stimulate young minds with just pictures and rocks. Any STEM activity would be much appreciated.
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
I wanted to take Reno a little different this time around so I decided to visit the planetarium. Parking was easy enough, I parked across the street and the walk was very pleasant. There were even ducks walking along side. It's only $8 at the entrance and that includes both the exhibit and videos. Videos are about 25-45 each and usually start at the top of the hour. It's a good idea to call them to find out show times. The exhibits was very small and disappointing and really did not reflect the size of the planetarium. I watched 2 back to back shows for about 45 mins. It turned out i have already seen one of these show but it was still interesting. There were very few people when i was there so it was easy to grab a good seat. Overall, It was a interesting experience but I would have appreciated a little more content.

Yelp
I remember coming here as a kid with my dad. Great memories watching the stars, exploring the exhibitions, and learning about space. Not much has changed since then, but the goal of teaching people about our vast universe remains the same. I'm a bit disappointed they haven't renovated. I think UNR needs to invest more in this area. I watched "Black Holes" and it was awesome. I really did feel educated afterwards. It was about 40 minutes, and the ticket was only $6. The exhibition focused on our history in space, gravity, and showed some really cool artifacts. Even the small shop filled with little toys and knick knacks was interesting. I ended up getting a small geode. Plus if you check in they give you ten percent off. My interest in learning never stops, so I won't hesitate coming back again. For only a few bucks you can experience a wonderful showing about space, and it'll keep you entertained.

Andrew ..

Yelp
Couldn't stop laughing. The whole thing had less than 30 words in it. It was just an early 2000s techno music video. A guy would say some nonsensical sentence and then it'd launch into 10 minutes of random shapes and colors flashing on the screen with trippy music playing behind it. The only merciful breaks from this 8th grader who just discovered a 3d graphics program's project disaster were random quotes that would flash on the screen from Einstein or Heisenberg that left you with an even deeper feeling of "wtf". It seems like it would be a great experience high.
google avatar

Spanky D.

Yelp
An older planetarium located on the University of Nevada campus which by modern standards would be considered on the small side. The facility is well maintained and there are some cool items in the gift shop. The interactive space museum is also fun for adults and kids. The movies are a fun option for weeknight entertainment because really there is no other planetarium within 100 miles of the University.
google avatar

Elena B.

Yelp
I love planetariums and the solar system, so I was excited to visit Fleischmanns'. For $7 my boyfriend and I went to see the Mayan Skies show. The program seemed more geared toward children. The narration and story were definitely dumbed down. The show itself was extremely pretty though. You felt like you were surrounded by the constellations. We went on a Saturday afternoon and were the only people in the theater. Additionally the guy running the show seemed to be in danger of hacking up a lung. Overall, a cute place to visit, but better for young kids than adults.
google avatar

Cameron H.

Yelp
A fun place for kids and adults, but needs updating. I've always loved this planetarium and a visit here was often on my birthday list. The exhibits here are very cool, although they don't change very often. The movies here are worthwhile although the theater will seem very outdated if you have visited one of the more modern facilities.
google avatar

Tiff U.

Yelp
Ok , so only go here for the movie in the sun dome and the neat things they sell . Thats it because it will take you 10 minutes to walk though the whole place guaranteed. The staff was very nice but I guess I thought they would have more stuff to see.

Shaheen I.

Yelp
Best place to take a 9 dollar nap. It was like sitting in science class at a movie theater. Where's the stars, why am I watching coral reef documentary. I could've watched it for free on PBS. Do you y'all even got PBS in Nevada?
google avatar

Ralph T.

Yelp
Close to downtown Reno. Came here with my granddaughter she enjoyed the show about Saturn. This is a smaller planetarium but they still have a good show The chairs are getting worn and need to be recovered. No interaction with the projectionist sort of needed some ending. maybe a q&a
google avatar

Amy H.

Yelp
I did not know upon walking in that the museum was free and it was the show I was paying for (the sign was on the counter near my feet, and I can't bend over very easily). Had I known that, I would have let my two younger squirmers wander the museum for free and only paid for my oldest to go instead of wasting money on them. I am a reciprocal member from a museum in California, and did not see it posted anywhere that we only got $1 off per person. My son was very disappointed that there were not more exhibits downstairs. We thought there could have been more exhibits, considering all of the space available.

Sherry M.

Yelp
I have visited the planetarium many times ever since its opening in the'60s. Now that I live in Reno I sometimes take out of town visitors there for a show. One thing they could improve on is a calendar of upcoming events that looks into the future at least two months. Sometimes planning ahead is essential!

Yelp
We are so lucky to still have a planetarium in Reno, so I will split the difference and give it three stars. My kids love going here, and me... I don't mind *too* much. The theater itself is small and sits maybe 50 people, if that. Parking is free and very convenient. Price is okay: for adults ($6) and kids 3-12 ($4) and there is a fun little museum with rocks from outer space and large-scale models of the moon and earth and a few other things. However, not a single exhibit in the museum has changed in the past few years that I have been bringing my kids here. The screen, of course, covers the rounded ceiling of the planetarium theater and is fun and novel for the kids. I think it's a bit dark, though (the picture isn't very bright) and I have to squint a bit to make out details. The movies themselves are a bit dated. The current feature showing now is a 1995 film about the oceans called "The Living Sea" narrated by Meryl Streep. We were really disappointed with the recent movie called "Dinosaurs Alive!" which SOUNDS like it might be really exciting, but was more about grad students packing for expeditions and scientists walking down hallways and peering into things than it was about showing actual DINOSAURS ALIVE. My six-year-old who normally really enjoys all things dinosaur actually fell asleep. There are cool things to peruse in the gift shop afterwards, and the sundial situated right next to the building is fun and educational. Three stars because your kids will ADORE this (and because the parking is awesome). I look forward to reading any other perspectives on this Reno landmark.

Yelp
buy your tickets at the planetarium. They are $5.00 vs &7.50 on yelp..When in the car driving home after word we asked the kids aged 5,8.19,12 if they enjoyed the show and they were blown away and loved it.
google avatar

Lizzy M.

Yelp
Went here for a kids bday party, my kids enjoyed it very much. They were very impressed. The dome theater was super nifty. If you're like me and get super queasy on spinning rides, don't eat a big meal beforehand, haha
google avatar

Rick S.

Yelp
This is a great place to learn about the universe around us. The only problem is the place and the exhibits are getting dated which I assume is because UNR likes to dump a ton of cash on athletics instead of modernizing the public face of science.

Yelp
I love the planetarium! The place is well maintained and they have some fun stuff in the gift shop! It's a great way to spend the day! They are fighting to get funding, so ya, the exhibits don't change that often. But the exhibits they have are interesting and informative! The sky dome is really cool! And they always have some awesome films on it! I love themselves of the moon and the model of the earth!

Yelp
I would like to say four positive things about this planetarium: 1) the staff is friendly, 2) the parking is easy, 3) the facility is clean, and lastly, the shows are enjoyable. Now here is the sad part for this particular planetarium. I have been visiting this planetarium off and on for over 20 years. Sadly, it is still the same. Ninety percent of the exhibits are the same, and they are worn out. Now my children are bored with the same exhibits that they have seen in the pass 10 years. The gift shop has downsized quite a bit. And the items are old, another words they have been there for a long time. I know with budget cuts it is difficult to add true hands on exhibits and a fresh updated look. With the people who did not want it to close, why hasn't any monies been donated to bring updated changes? If money was donated was it applied to a "new" planetarium? Would like to see a real change take place! I like planetariums, but this one is in great need of money and updating.

Yelp
Coming back from Yellowstone to CA through Reno this seemed interesting and it was! Interesting videos! We had nowhere to park our motor home so staff kindly allowed us to park briefly at the Parking office in a 15 minute visitor spot.
