Sense of belongings! It's not that I walk into the museum but it's the surroundings, which includes the UVM campus and the exhibition in the museum, wrapped me in its forms of beauties. It's just marvelous starting when you step onto the campus! I love the experience.

It was a small museum. I was able to see most of the museum in the 50 minutes I had. Unfortunately it took a bit of searching to find the parking lot and when I did, there weren’t many spaces. The lot is obnoxiously small. It’s a fun thing to do if you’re looking for something to do. There’s almost nowhere to park in the surrounding streets. So it’s either the tiny lot for the museum (or parking in the hospital garage?). I’m not even sure you could park there.

Interesting art pieces, historical and modern contemporary mix. Makes for a nice outing, you can finish the whole museum in under an hour.

A little gem of a place. Lots of diverse work and helpful staff. The display of kimonas alone was worth the visit.

Google
A very nice art museum!!! 🎨 🖼️ I spent a few hours in here looking through all the exhibits, there was plenty to look at and admire. And it was free! And the university of vermont campus is a beautiful walk 🌳🎓👨‍🎓

This was a wonderful art museum. Powerful and diverse galleries that were wonderfully curated. I also enjoyed an archeology room which was open to the public. They changed the pieces in that room daily (there are only a few) but they are more "damaged" pieces so they aren't fit for normal exhibition -- but you can really look at them up close. Very cool!

Google
A surprisingly nice little museum at the UVM campus. I wasn't expecting as many exhibits as they had. Just a little bit of everything. There even were traveling exhibits that weren't some small stuff, but by actual nationally acclaimed artists. The big atrium felt a little empty. Maybe we were between installations? At any rate, can't argue with free admission to take a look around.

Yelp
The Fleming Museum is on the campus of UVM (University of Vermont). The hike up through the charming old neighborhoods and through the beautiful campus make the trip alone worth the walk. There was a very interesting very eclectic Exhibits. All were interesting but some of the standouts to me were the Japanese Kimonos and the inspiration for works by contemporary artists and the local artist pieces reflecting the beauty and culture of Vermont. There was a large gallery that had a huge range of works by students and faculty of UVM. The Museum is small and very doable in an hour. It is also free. You don't have to be a member of the University to get in. It is good to note that the museum follows the academic calendar - September through May and is open Tuesday - Saturday. Check their web page for more details on exhibits and hours. https://www.uvm.edu/fleming

Yelp
Check out this actually free museum on the UVM campus in Burlington. It really is free admission to get in. The Fleming Museum won't take that long to get around, but you still can see a lot. Hours are crappy because it's closed when school is closed. You should come here if interested in local artists and history. Be sure to know when school is in session, because if it's not the museum will be closed. It's free. This is among the few such museums. A lot of local art. Lots of things to check out in a small space. Amazing how much is packed in. This still won't take long to get through. Among the most notable objects is the sphere object on the cover of the Phish album Round Room. This is located just inside the main entrance, so be sure to see that. Also there's some ancient stuff like the Egyptian artifacts. The paintings collection has a few notable ones among these. For sure the best thing about it is that it's free. It's been free for awhile, but unfortunately it's only open when the college is also open. There's lots to check out if interested in local artists, and Vermont.

Yelp
The museum is only available/open during the school semesters. It is not available during summer break, nor school breaks. this is not clear when you search it.

Yelp
Went to the Fleming Museum today with Melina. At five dollars per adult admission, this was a great afternoon activity. I'm not sure what more you could expect for five dollars, but this museum had a great selection of Egyptian artifacts, paintings, sculptures, and the like. It was A nice way to spend a couple hours in the afternoon.

Yelp
It's a small museum located on the University of Vermont campus. Exhibits rotate from time to time, and special items are displayed during certain presentation periods.

Yelp
This art museum has a fine collection of paintings by Vermont-connected painters like;Horace Bundy,Charles Heyde("Lake Champlain and Rock Point"),Julius Stearns,Paul Sample("Haircut"),Hilda Belcher("Chicken Pie Dinner"),and Herbert Meyer("Monday Morning,Pawlet,Vermont").It has a very sketchy collection of paintings by European painters.Nevertheless,I saw fine paintings by;Adrien Van De Velde,Govaert Flinck("Boy With Plumed Hat"),Fragonard("Shepherdess"),George Romney, and Alexandre-Gabriel Decamps.I also enjoyed its current exhibit,"On View"which emphasized the beauty of Vermont with fine paintings by;Charles Heyde,Jerome Thompson, and Frederic Church.I have been to better art museums, however the Fleming Art Museum was enjoyable and interesting.
