Fletcher Bay Campsite

It’s nice and it was a beautiful spot. But at the last moment there was no water.

Amazing Campsite! Really clean, plenty of space and great views! You really have the feeling of being on the edge of the world! Surprisingly, you still have a decent phone connection. Highly recommended for hiking and a swim in the sea! Just driving here is already worth it. Beautiful sunrise and sunset!

Great DOC camping site. Clean and tidy facilities. The ride to the site is fantastic.

Nice campsite, decent beach and swimming and the Coromandel track walk is amazing. However the 30km of gravel Road is absolutely shocking, my poor little golf took a beating and I won't be going back.

Loved it, you literally feel like at the end of the world. Not many people there really quiet. Toilets and cold showers all fine. Great also if you wanna do the walk for sunset.

It is beautiful, yes. We enjoyed the location. However, I think we struck a rough crowd over New Year - the inconsiderate 1% who ruin the peace and quiet. It's a nice, well maintained DOC camp ground in a stunning location (access road not for the faint hearted though).

Fletchers Bay, what a beauitful camp site, northern most camp site on the Eastern Road along the coromandel. Amazing fishing of a boat or kayak. It's a pack in pack out site so no rubbish disposal. Cold showers, long drops, water but needs to be boiled. Amazing views. The road out is a bit rough compared to the other side gravel for the most part of a hour plus, roads narrow quite a bit and idots seem to think its OK to drive down the middle of the road around corners. There is a couple of water crossings towards the end near port Jackson and onwards to fletchers bay. Maybe not the best choice for a every day car if its been raining. But a amazing little spot to spend a long weekend.

Nice beach and camping area. Pretty remote. Not that great for swimming for kids. Has cell phone reception. Great for people who are into fishing and diving.
