Fletcher Hotel Château De Raay

This lovely hotel is located in a very beautiful setting (walks are recommended!). We stayed here for 3 days. The rooms are large and bright. I slept in the historic main building, but there is also plenty of space in the modern annex. The restaurant and bar are housed in a beautifully designed winter garden, and the service was discreet yet attentive. Breakfast is ok, also lunch, dinner in the restaurant was very good. We had a company workshop and were able to make good use of the meeting rooms. The catering during the breaks is also very good.

While I didn't complete the online booking(platform)check-in. At arrival there weren't any rooms available. But, the lady in reception really offered a lot off assistance getting another Hotel room elsewhere. They have a high professional standard.

Rude manager. Fired a bunch of trusted staff - justified it by saying "I already have great staff, don’t need anyone else." As far I could understand that - he has NEVER paid nor gave enough time to find a new job for the old staff. Curiously asking, are u treating your customers the same way?

The room was dirty, dugusting nothing done about it while we were there. Bathroom had mold. Breakfast had to ask nearly every morning for cups, spoons, plates, bowls, tea and bread.

Chateau de Raay is one of the very best Fletcher hotels we've stayed in. Room was a good size and had a terrace. Ambience is lovely as are the grounds. Would have liked to see more of the main building

Too bad for the lovely place to have such stuff! The dinner waitress was having a bad night or she just hates her job! Really rude. On my check-out the receptionist asked me to pay 18 euro for a coffee I had in the morning. I told her my colleague had breakfast, not me! Then she asked me his room number to move the payment on his account - this is not normal to ask your guests who had breakfast!! If I will go again to Venlo, I prefer to have a less impressive view and nice and kind employees. Almost forgot: towels were not changed after my first night, only waste taken out and the bed was made in a hurry as she had a plane to catch.

Impressive building and stay for a night. We used the opportunity to use the restaurant. We were very impressed by the interior and took are place. Kaylee was this evening our guide and she guided us in wine and food choices. Our appetizer and drinks arrived quickly. Unfortunately due a small miscommunication we didn’t receive everything on time. Luckily Kaylee and her team solved the problem and provided us a very good and delicious evening.

Fantastic natural environment, great for walking and exploring history—William of Orange apparently stayed here for a while. The staff was kind, especially Romy. We were lucky to receive a complimentary upgrade, and the room was fantastic. However, the food was not on par. There were many new staff members, and although there was a mistake with the ribeye, the head person noticed it. When we ordered another dish, we got it on the house. It's impressive service, especially in the Netherlands, where service is generally below the standard found elsewhere in the world. I definitely recommend going here.
