Clean but small rooms, our room had a window that didn't fully close, so we heard every street noise the whole night. Good breakfast. The hotel stated that it had parking, when we got there the staff told us that it wasn't included, but they had a "discount" on a nearby parking (less than 150m), we had to pay 14 usd on that.

Very attractive building with a lovely, historic interior. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good. Handy location for museums and Central Avenue. Was a bit noisy and smoke alarm kept going off but overall it was a nice place to stay.

Stayed one night only. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient located when passing through and coming from the airport. Tasteful interior. Great breakfast.

Can be a bit noisy at night but to street noise and a nightclub in close proximity.
The hotel has a nice, retro colonial feel with nice helpful staff. The breakfast is pretty good too.

Local hotel with clean rooms and very nice and helpful staff. Maybe they lock fancy stuff of the big chains hotel but the location is great and breakfast was delicious. There are no numbers on the rooms instead names of the flowers.

Hotel Fleur De Lys is a really beautiful hotel to have a slow and calm pause from the hustle and bustle of San Jose. It’s not a good fit if you want a five star resort but it’s perfect if stunning historical architecture and cultural authenticity are your priorities. The common areas are comfortable and I always saw guests enjoying the front patio or upstairs sitting area. I stayed in the jacuzzi suite which I can’t recommend enough but the other more modest rooms will get the job done. You can hear the city outside which may bother some but as a city slicker I slept right through it. It’s an older building and has the quirks you can expect from one but I highly recommend this hotel.

We booked a twin room and it was brilliant, very clean and great price. One receptionist is absolutely lovely, very chatty, and kind. However, the other one isn’t as kind or chatty but perhaps a bad day? Nevertheless, would go back as it had everything needed

I was in 3 star hotels in Costa Rica and that certainly does not correspond to the standard.
The receptionist is extremely unfriendly and never works. When I arrived, she first let me wait 30 minutes and looked very annoyed that I'm there instead of apologizing.
The hotel is located right next to a railway line and it is extremely loud. You can also hear every sound from the other guests.
The rooms are musty and in poor condition.
Breakfast consists only of Gallo Pinto, bread with marmelade and pineapple. I wouldn't even give the hotel one star.
