Absolutely nightmare! Had to call the police over NO HOT WATER.
I’ve never had to call the police on a hotel until now. There was hot water at 4 PM, but by 9 PM, it was barely lukewarm. With Taipei at 11°C, expecting us to shower in cold water is insane—especially since my travel companion has a cold.
The staff was incredibly dismissive, claiming water temperature is 'subjective.' When I asked for a refund to find another place, they refused. I even offered to use an electric kettle to heat water for a sponge bath, but they said they didn't have one.
Worst of all, the staff lied. That night, he claimed he was 'just a junior staffer' and couldn't make decisions. But when I called the next day to speak to a manager, it was the same person, and he suddenly claimed he was the manager. Absolute trash service. No matter how cheap the room is, hot water is a basic right. Avoid this place like the plague!
You have repeatedly insisted that hot water was available. However, even the police officer who arrived on-site confirmed there was none, which led to the tripartite discussion to find a resolution. Had I known about the lack of hot water from the start, I would not have requested a refund. Just because other guests did not report the issue does not mean it doesn't exist.
