FlixBus

On August 11, 2025, we booked a trip from Los Angeles to Las Vegas with FlixBus, expecting the same quality we had previously enjoyed in Europe: clean, modern, comfortable buses with basic amenities. Instead, our original bus was canceled last minute. We were moved to another departure, only to discover it was operated by Greyhound—on an old, dirty, uncomfortable bus that had nothing to do with what we booked and paid for. When I raised the issue with FlixBus, their only response was repeated empty apologies—no real accountability, no willingness to issue a refund for a service that was never delivered. 📌 Anyone considering FlixBus in the U.S. should be aware: your trip may actually be with Greyhound, at a much lower standard than what FlixBus promises.

Flixbus has poor customer service for routes originating in Los Angeles. I have experienced double booked reserved seats, drivers who demand that the reserved seat I paid for is not available for use, drivers who made personal calls and talked while driving for hundreds of miles. Most recently they cancelled a bus less than 24 hrs before a trip -- had to pay another fee for a reserved seat on a different bus, and although the return bus was not changed, my assigned seats somehow disappeared -- though my tickets were purchased 5 mos before the trip. Cancellations result in 70% of the trip cost being forfeited. Megabus was far cheaper, more reliable, drivers more professional and more customer oriented. I don't know why Mega left LA, but I wouldn't use Flixbus again.

Disgraceful. I booked a ticket via FlixBus and the line was operated by Greyhound. I presented the QR code to the bus driver. After 15 minutes of trying, the system won't accept FlixBus QR code. The bus driver said there was issue with FlixBus system that they had wrong information regarding the actual bus. The route number did not reflect the actual bus, despite that it's that exact bus for that boarding time. I called FlixBus customer service. I communicated and then the representative said "a dedicated resolution team" would call me back in 10 ~ 20 minutes. I NEVER HEARD BACK. I then called again, explaining the situation to a new customer representative, and that they said such arrangement never happen. I still cannot get a refund. FlixBus is putting liability on customers for their own faults and malfunctions. Such a disgraceful company.

I booked a Trip while in the USA from Warsaw Poland to Kyiv Ukraine. They canceled my bus. Rebooking was a nightmare using the voucher, as I did not get what I requested on my orginal booking at the advice of thier support team. In order to get the same seats as I orginally had I cancelled the rebooking and started over with a new booking. The new booking cost me $15 more and they refused to refund my complete original ticket for the bus they cancelled. I am contesting this with my credit card compamy. Flix support are a bunch of Idiots. Their online system is bad when a problem occurs, a problem THEY CAUSED! I did everything in good faith, Horrible Support. Use another service or risk being taken advantage.

Flix bus is always a go to. I travel on this bus so much. I’ve had Mr. Johnson as a driver 3 times. Man this dude rocks. Polite but Stern, there never is a dull moment with this guy. 1 of the best drivers in the Arizona and California area. Thank you Flix Bus for hiring incredible people…..

Great concept, easy online ordering, until they change your departure time 72 hrs before your trip! Their customer service was worthless. Conflicting texts saying later departure. Email saying original departure. Which was accurate??? How can you change departure time after selling tickets for a posted schedule??? Ruined my evening plans with my son because of his late arrival. Also, paid for an assigned seat but no one adheres to this. It’s a joke. Do not recommend

Recently, FlixBus removed all of the bus routes that go directly from San Diego to UCLA. This removal has negatively affected a huge number of UCLA students so far this school year. This has been a major inconvenience, and I hope they bring back these bus routes ASAP.

These guys are compleatly horrible, its cold outside and the bus was a sauna i would hate to be in this bus during summer just hell no. They drop you at a rest stop for 20 minutes so you have to run around, only just have time to find food and a toilet or they leave you behind. On our trip from Las Vegas they actually left one person at the stop. Plus leg room is a joke never seen anything like it. If you can afford a few extra $ its worth it.
