On the Grid : Float

"Float is a retro cafe located inside the old Burlington Arcade. This is an open walkway through the middle of one of the buildings on Lake Ave. Float serves good coffee and sandwiches- and yes floats. You can build your own float or get something more seasonal like a pumpkin spice latte float. On a warm day, treat yourself to an affogato. If you have never had one, brace yourself. It's like a shot of adrenaline- but instead of being served in a syringe it comes in a cup. Some nights you can hang out and watch a movie projected on a screen outside the cafe. You'll feel like you've gone back in time- to Paris- but that also might just be an affogato-induced hallucination." - OSSO

As soon as you open the door to this small coffee and sandwich shop in the Burlington arcade, you are greeted with friendly personnel and great aromas. There was both a coffee and sandwich menu available. We ordered an Americano and a cooling iced latte. There were some tables available near the service counter as well as some tables outside in the Burlington arcade itself. It was close to lunch so it was starting to get busy. I ordered one of their popular Chipotle bacon sandwiches to go. I was asked some questions about condiments that I preferred. The sandwich was incredible and a great value. Enjoyed the second half the next day and still tasted great. Great service, look forward to trying other of their popular sandwiches.

Google
Excellent sandwich, highly recommended. This is a 2nd edit: We are back to Pasadena on June 11, 2024 again to attend the commencement on June 14. It is a very exciting experience to come back to Float again that my son likes most when he was here during summer of 2019. The food is the same high quality and excellent taste.

Float is a Pasadena staple in the lovely Burlington Arcade. The environment is pretty and inviting, good to catch up with friends or meet someone over lunch, soda, coffee/tea, or ice cream. Their menu has a good mix of sandwiches, drinks, and treats. The caprese I had was straightforward and tasty, iced tea refreshing and tart. I recommend a visit!

This is honestly my new go to place. I've lived in pasadena for 4 yrs and I can't believe I haven't been here before. It's a hidden gem with great food and amazing people. The workers here are amazing and so welcoming!!! I honestly drop by every week just to say hi and grab my usual breakfast bagel and my matcha chai latte with cold foam or their amazon london fog tea latte with cold foam. It's seriously so good I have to stop myself from coming here everyday. I do hope they sell loose tea leaf soon since it's really calming.

Google
Float is a niche sandwich and ice cream float shop in an outdoor mall in South Pasadena. The area is cute and spacious to sit in. The actual establishment itself is small but inviting. They make excellent sandwiches, but be sure to order before the kitchen closes. They also specialize in floats, hence the name. If you are feeling game, pick the Float's choice, where you pick the root beer or cream Soda of your choice, and they do the rest. It was an accident finding the place, but sometimes accidents can make for the best finds.

I ordered a latte, and while it was nice, the coffee tasted very light—even though it had two shots.

Fresh pastries, and hot beverage. Deliciously made hot chai tea. The owner has a great sense of humor. I had to purchase one of the awesome sauces to take home. They do have free WiFi. This cafe is small but a lot to offer. Light music is playing while I enjoyed my drink and pastries. The first 90 minutes is free parking. They’re is a lot of outdoor parking.

Google
This is a late review but I was really hoping to like this place since it's in a neat little area. This shop is kinda cold though, also when we went they kept the food orders on a shelf above the drinks and I guess that's how a staple got in my child's drink. They apologized and said they'd move stuff around but still I couldn't believe my kid almost swallowed a staple. I understand it was an accident but never coming here again personally. :/

Yelp
We came back to try their sandwiches and I must say, it was delicious! I had the turkey melt and my husband had the float Italian. The bread was not what I was precieving! It looked hard and crispy but it was far from that! Their bread is like an artisan type of bread. For me, I loved how soft it was, but I was hoping for a more crispy exterior. Regardless, we loved the sandwich and chips that we ordered! The service was great, and the environment is still casual and charming. We will be back!

Yelp
Matcha latte: 1/5. The matcha had a dull green color and upon the first sip there there was exactly no matcha flavor at all. It tasted 100% of milk. Mine also was a bit grainy and it wasn't mixed well enough. This was definitely not worth $6. As for service, I did have to wait for about 5 minutes before I was able to get my order in which was no problem. After I ordered, service was friendly and my drink came out within a few minutes. Not much seating options as they only have a small counter seating area on the right facing the glass. Parking: You can park at the shopper's lane lot. It's 90 minutes for free. And parking there is free on Sundays!

Yelp
Not all who wonder are lost. Some are just looking for coffee. Float Pasadena is a small specialty coffee and tea shop in the eclectic setting of the Burlington Arcade. It's located on South Lake avenue in Pasadena. It offers lattes, lunch, sandwiches, salads, bagels, catering and gift cards. Similarly, they have cold bottled drinks like Root beers. Its interior layout is quite small with limited seats and a relax static stability. Menu list has all of your basic coffee, teas and lattes. I had a Mocha Latte (H); it was perfect. Staff was competent and professional. Service was satisfactory. Prices are competitive. Collectively, I enjoyed my latte and order experience. I recommend this coffee shop.

Yelp
I used to love their sandwich, especially the turkey cheese sandwich, it was perfectly crafted!! Everything just melts together with the bread; I get it like 3,4 times a week. The cheese and turkey perfectly lined up with the sandwich and it was easy to bite into, perfect on the go sandwich and you could eat it with one hand and not make a mess, the bread has very little crumbs that fall out. They have changed their bread recently, and the bread taste like cornbread to me, it's not as soft (some people might like it harder) but it's just too hard and the bread often is burned. It doesn't melt together with the stuffing inside anymore.. anyway, I'm just disappointed, i wish they at least keep the other bread as an option....

Yelp
Cool little coffee, candy, breakfast spot in a very cool alleyway oddly named arcade with no games in sight. There is another coffee spot in this alleyway with a long line called Mandarin, but it's honestly okay. Float is on par with less wait, and real food. I usually get the affogado with comes with a scoop of Fosselmans ice cream. I think they used to come with two, but the porportions are good with one. We got a few sandwiches-- lox bagel, bahn mi pastrami, and roast beef. Wish the bahn mi had more Vietnamese flavors such as the radish and cilantro. My husband is obssessed with the roast beef, though. He loves the vinegary sauce.

Yelp
Mandarin Coffee Stand was closed, so I decided to give Float Pasadena a try! After looking at the vibrant interior and the homey aesthetic, I decided to try the Matcha Latte with my girlfriend! I specifically told the cashier that I wanted less ice on both the Matcha, and they not only made a mistake but also messed up my name on the order! Although I'm sure that their other orders are delicious, such as the salmon avocado sandwich, their Matcha Latte is not one of my favorites. The order was also messed up entirely, as in the cup, there is more than 3/4's of ice in the Matcha, making it a completely unfair and inadequate purchase for its price. I would not recommend coming here for matcha, maybe coffee is more of their forte. The matcha wasn't grainy nor consistent, and it had too much sweetness to it.

Yelp
Another long time favorite place that went downhill. They used to have great sandwiches. Really great. But now the wonderful Dutch crunch bread that made the sandwiches good is no longer and option. They only offer french rolls for their sandwiches and the bread is not tasty at all and does not compliment the sandwich options they have. I hope they are able to remain in business but I personally won't be eating here again. I'll miss the delicious Italian on Dutch crunch bread.

Yelp
I went here for a quick sandwich and wound upon getting a Coffee and Matcha Latte as well. We were actually waiting for another Matcha Latte down the way at another specialty store , but settled into this very small cafe and breakfast place., We had ordered a Turkey Melt, a Chicken pesto, and a Reuben pastrami like sandwich. We had to wait a bit since it only seemed the cashier was the Barista and there was only 1 Sandwich maker in the kitchen. The sandwiches were good, but they forgot to make 1 because of the miscommunication upon ordering. Regardless, it took another 20 minutes for the sandwiches to come out. The sandwiches were quite large and the Coffee lattes were also good. It might of been a schedule conflict since it seemed a long time to get the food and coffees. The people were friendly enough and there was more patio seating outside if you feel too cramped to sit inside the cafe, Definitely will try the menu of diverse sandwiches next time were in the Pasadena area.

Yelp
Friendly service, cozy vibes, great music. Definitely will visit again. Breakfast bagel- 10/10 Dirty chai latte- 10/10 Mocha Latte- 10/10 Croissant with butter- 7/10 It's a very small cafe with a couple of places to sit. Perfect for a quick bite/cup of coffee or a grab n go.

Yelp
Float food and drinks are the best! The staff is amazing and always so sweet! I have been coming here for the last 4 years. Sometimes it gets busy and there can be a wait but they do their best! We love float and their staff!

Yelp
What a cool spot to grab lunch and catch up with friends. I brought my 103 pound doberman and he was perfectly content on the tables in the middle and there was plenty of space for him. My friends got me the chicken BLT. The chicken was moist and I was able to give some to my pup. He enjoyed it too. I also got a latte iced and it was perfect to keep me up for the remainder of the day. I definitely want to come back.

Yelp
Had to check this spot out while cafe shop hopping. I tried this place out maybe 2-3 times and honestly the drinks here are not really it for me. Sometimes they're a bit too bland or a lil too bitter. Gave it a couple chances thinking maybe it was just the drink I got but all three drinks I've tried just never hit the spot for me... The workers are lovely people though, service is great and friendly. The shop is quite frankly small and has VERY limited seating indoors but there's plenty outside! I honestly come to read for the vibes and energy this place holds. If it wasn't for the great ambiance and sweet staff I probably wouldn't have been coming back just to sit and read.

Yelp
The sandwich we ordered was the chicken pesto. It was delicious and the bread was not too hard and the right amount of toasted. We sat in the center breezeway and enjoyed the vibe of this area. It was pretty full but we found a table. The service was decent all though I waited in the store for my order when they brought the food out to other tables in the breezeway. I guess I needed to speak up to ask for this service. It is cramped inside which made waiting for the food not very pleasant.

Yelp
Located in the Burlington Arcade, I felt transformed to a cafe in London. Friendly service, sandwhiches, coffee, tea and so much more. We had espresso shots, iced latte and cookies. The espresso was smooth, which is always my litmus test for quality of roasted beans.

Yelp
Sandwiches were solid but nothing to write home about. I'd honestly give this place 3.5 stars overall. Service was great and very attentive. They answered all our questions and told us what most people like to order. We got the pesto chicken and floats Italian. The pesto chicken kind of lacked flavor. The chicken was tender and the cheese was melty but it didn't have that umami or saltiness that would have made the sandwich all the better. The floats Italians bread was really chewy and a little hard to eat. It got to the point where we had to remove most of the bread to be able to consume it. floats did not skimp out on meats at all. Our sandwiches were stacked. Ingredients tasted fresh. I'd only really come back here if I was in the area. They also ran out of bacon when we came which was around lunch time on a Saturday. I will say though there were many people eating and ordering so maybe there was a rush they didn't expect and ran low on ingredients.

Yelp
Float Pasadena, which is kind of hidden, is located in Burlington Arcade, closest to the parking lot side than from the entrance on Lake Ave. After doing some shopping and walking around the HolidayFest event on South Lake (a tradition my husband and I like to do every year), my mom was hungry and wanted to get something to eat. She wasn't expecting to eat lunch but Float had ran out of most of their pastries and she was starting to get a little hangry. So she decided she would order a sandwich for her and one for my husband since I said I wasn't really that hungry. However, I ended up eating half of her sandwich. Anyways, we ended up ordering: Half Pesto Chicken Sandwich, $12 prior to tax- This sandwich was toasted and the inside was nice and hot. Surprisingly the half sandwich was plenty for my mom and the other half was plenty for me (but I wasn't that hungry and my mom is a small eater). There was plenty of chicken in the sandwich and I liked the roasted vegetables and pesto sauce. Roast Beef Sandwich, $11 prior to tax- My husband wasn't too hungry and so he only had half of his sandwich (normally he would eat the whole thing, but we ate only 2 hours before hand and my mom ate 4 hours ago). He liked his sandwich and thought it was good. Pour Over Coffee, $4, prior to tax- My mom had to have her coffee. She enjoyed it. -------------------------- (Total= $33.45 after tax and tip) Wait time for our sandwiches were a little over 15 minutes, but the employee who took our order had quoted us that wait time, so it was expected. Service was quick and friendly. But looking for a table was a challenge. The seating is incredibly limited here with very few outdoor tables and very little seating inside. I have not been here on a week day and have only been on a weekend (I have had their chai tea and one of their root beer floats on previous visits) and it has always been a busy little place. I think the food is good and can see why this place is popular. Not sure if I would make a special trip but overall, our dining experience was positive.

Yelp
I've been wanting to check out this place for awhile and I finally was able to catch them during their opening hours which is from 8-5pm. The first item I got was the turkey avocado club and it was delicious! I only ate half and the next day I air fried the rest and it was still good- especially the bread! I was still dreaming of this sandwich so I decided to go the next day and wanted to try something new so I got the pastrami rosemary. It was big mistake! It was really the worst sandwich I've ever had in my life. The pastrami was so chewy and rough. It was way too thick for my liking. The slaw was just full of mayonnaise and cabbage- there was no flavor. I do not recommend anything with pastrami and I would stick to regular deli meats. I was so disappointed with this sandwich. It's unfortunate that I didn't like my sandwich. I am reluctant to return since I didn't enjoy it. Hopefully on my next return I can get the turkey club sandwich to redeem this spot.

Yelp
My partner and I visited the store today to get some coffee. It was about 2:45 pm. There were 2 people behind the counter and 3 customers seated, either waiting or already helped. My partner is very friendly so he said hello. No response from the counter person. No greeting. No acknowledgement. Nothing. She never looked up at us. We waited more than 5 minutes and decided to leave. Still nothing was said. This is a horrible way to run a business. The coffee place across the patio, Mandarin, was busy with a long line. We chose Float because there was no line. Now we know why.
google avatar

Yelp
No wait in line, awesome staff, great morning selections. I went with a matcha latte and had a great conversation with awesome people inside. Mandarin who?
google avatar

Joyce L.

Yelp
I got the chicken pesto sandwich and I was disappointed. The pictures looked great snd I always can enjoy a good pesto sandwich but after visiting this spot I regretted buying it. It didn't have much flavor and the bread tasted old.

Yelp
Float is located in a very cute alley that somewhat makes me feel like I'm in London. I love the area because it's very pretty and makes me feel like I'm in a whole different country. I had originally came to the coffee shop across this sandwich place but while waiting in line I kept seeing people eating these tasty looking sandwiches I had to get one myself. The sandwiches looked delicious and we were so hungry. We gave it a try and I loved it. I ordered the chipotle sandwich and it had everything I'd hope for in a sandwich. The bread was crispy, the sauce was tasty, and all the toppings in the sandwich paired amazing together. I will for sure come back and try some different sandwiches.
google avatar

Olive J.

Yelp
The sandwiches were nothing special. Everything I ordered lacked any exciting taste profiles. I was hoping for a burst of flavors, but, it didn't happen. While the ambiance is pleasant, I recommend exploring other options if you're seeking memorable sandwich experiences. Pasadena has plenty of hidden sandwich gems.

Yelp
Float is a café serving coffee, sodas and sandwiches in the Burlington Arcade in Pasadena. One of the first places you see as you enter the Arcade from the parking lot, this charming little café is one of two in this location. (I have yet to try the other one as it closes rather early.) The coffee was excellent and they had an especially rich and flavorful espresso. As with nearly all the shops in the Burlington Arcade, Float doesn't stay open late: just to 5pm. It's a shame since the location is so picturesque. It's definitely a place I would frequent more often if it was open later.

Yelp
Float is my go-to sandwich place! My personal fave is the Italian (one of the few pork/salami places that do not leave me feeling inflammed). But you can't go wrong with any of the sandwiches! Their dutch bread is DIVINE. Float was recommended to me by a friend who's a Yelp Elite member (shoutout Angela!) and she found this place via Yelp. It's in a super cute arcade area with open seating. It does get crowded during lunch hours so be prepared to 'fight' for tables. The service is meh. Once I went and the lady basically threw my sandwich on the table, but it doesn't affect the quality of the sandwiches so I just ignore the subpar service. Parking is super easy with a massive lot on Shopper's Lane. And tons of businesses nearby for a quick stroll.

Yelp
Bit of a wait but the coffee and pastries were really delicious . The area was beautiful and cute to sit at. Much smaller than I thought
google avatar

Sam G.

Yelp
Love this place, when I don't know what to eat at work, I order from Float. So far I had both pastrami subs probably 10 times each last 6 months. They are good and fresh ingredients. Bread is delicious, I never been inside always down postmates even tho my office is half a mile away. Both pastrami subs are so good, I don't want to try anything else.

Yelp
We tried Float Pasadena for the first time and it was a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with their food recommendations. I had the Italian sandwich and my wife chose the pesto, both were delicious. The standout for me was the London Fog with oat milk - it was perfectly balanced with a slight sweetness. The Dutch bread added a flaky, flavorful touch to our sandwiches. The location, tucked in a charming alleyway, matched the cozy, overcast day perfectly. We're definitely coming back!

Yelp
Best service, coffee, and food in the world!!!!! The environment was friendly and welcoming. The employees are nice and hardworking. My favorite coffee shop for sure!
google avatar

Meagan F.

Yelp
Not normally a sandwich type, but the outdoor seating environment was so nice I stopped and had myself a "Pesto Chicken Sandwich" and it was really delicious! Definitely recommend! I'll be back to try their turkey cheese melt or chipotle bacon club! Recommended by the employees!
google avatar

Bianca Z.

Yelp
I stopped in here while visiting the Burlington Arcade (which is straight out of London btw) because the food smelled THAT good. I'm not a sandwich person at all but I had to try one, and so glad I did! I got their chipotle bacon sandwich which was soo yummy and I enjoyed it 'outside' with friends while sitting in the arcade.
google avatar

Abby N.

Yelp
Cheap parking Located in a very beautiful building Lots of seating outside - limited inside The Italian sandwhich was delicious The service was nice and fairly quick The inside is tiny but the outside makes up for it! The employees were very nice and personal with customers.

K M.

Yelp
We had a couple lackluster sandwiches and root beer floats. Service is slow and not friendly. Sandwiches are tough and the soft drinks in front refrigerator is not on so all the drinks are warm.
google avatar

Wayne K.

Yelp
Due to all the great reviews, we've been wanting to go here for a while. Unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed. Maybe our expectations were too high, but the sandwiches were very mediocre, especially for the price. With Mendocino Farms, Urbane Cafe, Lemonade, etc. and other sandwich places nearby with comparable prices, there are so many better options and better sandwiches for comparable prices. There was actually barely any meat in the sandwiches and the sandwich tasted very average, and probably something you can make at home. Finally, service was pretty average too. We won't be going back.
google avatar

Christy Q.

Yelp
Ever since Float has gotten popular, both their service and food quality have drastically declined. Today, I had breakfast there and got the Roast Beef sandwich and experienced so many issues about it. First, I asked for no provolone, and they still served it with the cheese. Secondly, the menu noted that every sandwich is served with Dutch Crunch bread. However, my sandwich was served on a plain white bread roll -- NOT Dutch Crunch. Thirdly, when confronting the cashier about the bread, she lied and said it was Dutch Crunch; she said they get the bread from the same supplier, so it is Dutch Crunch. However, I know exactly what Dutch Crunch is, as I've had it at Float 50+ times before. Today's bread was definitely NOT Dutch Crunch, yet the cashier kept lying and not owning up to the mistake. If Float is out of Dutch Crunch, they should make it clear on the menu and when customers are ordering. They should NOT lie and make up excuses.

Yelp
Mixed review. Their customer service is great! I wrote feedback of my experience on the Square app. They totally took care of me. I will give them another shot, try something else next time.

Yelp
Very pretty cafe, perfect for a quick stop with friends (or even a long one). They have a large selection of sandwiches and of course coffee. The staff is friendly. It is also located in a cute alley for pictures.

Yelp
FOOD POISONING!!!!!!! My partner and I split a Turkey sandwich yesterday from Float and BOTH got food poisoning. BEWARE.... not clean food. UPDATE: Joyce, just because your turkey is allegedly sliced fresh every day, doesn't mean someone with dirty hands didn't make my sandwich, or that dirty produce wasn't used, or that it wasn't made on a dirty cutting board or that the turkey was kept at a proper refrigerated temperature.... There are endless ways this sandwich could have made us sick. UPDATE: Hey Joyce, here is some evidence for my claims. And you are correct, I am not the only one to make these claims. Looks like hundreds of food and safety inspectors have found major sanitation violations at Float over the years... so glad these are public record. On 3/18 Float received a MAJOR VIOLATION from Environmental Health Services that there was GRIME FOUND ON YOUR MEAT SLICER! Major Violations are critical risk factor violations that pose the highest risk of causing food poisoning (or foodborne illness). Major violations require immediate corrective action. Here is the sanitation report violation from 3/18 claiming you have mold in your ice and grime in your meat slicer. I would say this is adequate proof that your turkey sandwich gave me food poisoning; regardless of its daily slice fresh, if there is grime on your slicer you are going to make someone sick. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SERVICES MAJOR VIOLATION INSPECTION REPORT FOR FLOAT 03/18/2024 Food contact surfaces: Inspectors Comments: 1. Observed mold-like substance on ice trays of the ice machine. Discontinue serving ice. Melt ice, and clean and sanitize interior of the ice machine. Maintain ice machine clean and sanitized at all times. Correct immediately. 2. Observed food debris and grime along the blade of the meat slicer. Ensure the meat slicer is properly cleaned and sanitized in between use. Clean and sanitize meat slicer immediately. Here are a few more if that one wasn't enough to rebuke your claims of perfection.... Inspectors Comments: Observed soiled wiping cloths stored on a food contact surface during food preparation or used repeatedly during food Preparation. No sanitizing solution buckets were observed within reasonable proximity. Discontinue this practice. Each day prior to preparation, set up a sanitizer bucket with either 100 ppm chlorine, 200 ppm quaternary ammonium or 25 ppm iodine to hold the wiping cloths. Store the cloths inside the sanitizer solution when not in immediate use. When a towel is needed, wring it out, use it, and then immediately return it to the solution between uses. Inspectors Comments: Observed no thermometer in the prep reach in cooler. Provide a thermometer to the prep reach in cooler to verify the temperature. Correct by 3/21/24. Inspectors Comments: Observed employee wash hands in the prep sink. Employee was instructed by inspector to wash their hands in the hand washing sink. Employees must wash their hands in the hand washing sink only. Ensure employees are following proper hand washing procedures before putting on gloves. Correct today. Joyce.... just apologize and be accountable. That is your job as a restaurant owner.

Yelp
I was walking nearby Burlington Arcade, so I decided to relax for a while and have a hot drink. Burlington Arcade has many shops to explore and hangout with friends and family. It has European Architecture styles. Overall, it is a nice area to stop by and relax. There is a parking lot behind it or if you are lucky you can find a parking spot in the main street which located across from Macy's. We ordered: hot chocolate 5/5 it is nice in this cold weather Mi caprese sandwich 5/5 which has mozzarella, tomato,  prosciutto and pesto The bread was crunchy and sooo delicious. The 2 ladies there are very nice, friendly and so sweet. I really enjoy hanging out there and having a light savory sandwich with hot drink

Yelp
Hi everyone, I just spoke to the workers at Float, and they were not helpful at all. There are 2 girls working answering the phone pretending to be the manager being very rude. I called to get a side of red onions and pickles with my sandwich, and all hell broke loose. The girl hung the phone up me. I called back, and she answered without an apology. I asked her name, and she refused to tell her name. I spoke with another worker, and she had the same vile ignorant behavior! I will continue to express my disappointment about these 2 employees! This generation is sorry pathetic alcohol fetal syndrome, and children that we the public have to deal with. I spoke with the real manager yesterday, and he was very nice. He just has 2 sorry, lazy, ignorant employees working on Sunday! I feel that for the companies of today, sometimes young folk do not want to work, period!

Yelp
Such a cute, quaint cafe in an aesthetically pleasing alleyway. Lots of free parking for 90 minutes in the back! Ordered pesto chicken and the bacon, turkey, lettuce sandwiches. Breads seemed to be sourdough, and the one for the pesto chicken seemed to be a tad bit on the hard side. Both were delicious, though! Staff works quickly and I waited 5-10 min.

Lilly G.

Yelp
Amazing customer service, cute place, and decent menu! Loved the atmosphere here. :) I'd recommend coming here.

Natalie K.

Yelp
Got that Italian sandwich which was pretty dry and not that tasty. I actually didn't mind the bread's texture though it tasted burnt. The biggest turn off for me was actually how dirty the store was. Either they're understaffed or not able to manage to keep order in a small space, but I lost my appetite looking at how filthy the floors, walls, and other surfaces were. There was a staff closet that looks pretty gross inside and was left open, even after we shut the door to hide the unappetizing mop bucket and stained floor. You can see into the kitchen from the front and that also looked sloppy and lacking order. Supplies are hastily stashed next to loaves of bread in the front room, and the trash bin looked like it hasn't been wiped down since the day it was purchased. It's a bummer because even if their drinks and menu are decent, there's a lack of cleanliness and care with how the interior is maintained that makes me not want to come back.

Yelp
Nice spot for an affogato or a sando. Always an interesting, good looking crowd and kind, attentive service. The retail corridor that Float sits at one end of seems to skew towards influencers because it is so visual, but don't let that stop you from visiting. And it is so damn easy to park on weekends, which I can't say for most places in Pasadena. Recommended, and I am excited to try more of the things.

Yelp
I really like the new bread!! it's not as soft as the previous bread but this bread is still really really good! Service is amazing food is 10 out of 10, easily my favorite sandwich shop in la county!

Yelp
I got the Chipotle Bacon Club Sandwich it was really good, had lots of flavor. To drink I got the iced matcha latte with vanilla syrup and oat milk, it was amazing. I would definitely go back. There is limited seating inside the Cafe but the view is pretty and there's tables outside! I will definitely go back. The employees were friendly and recommended I get the matcha with syrup!

Yelp
FLOAT PASADENA is cute cafe found in the picturesque replica Burlington Arcade in Pasadena. They have espresso drinks along with a sizable coffee menu. Bottled drinks and packages snacks are for sale. Food from their kitchen looked good but we didn't try them this time. Some indoor seating and lots outside in the arcade.

Yelp
As much as I love this place but I had a disappointing experience. Their posted hours indicate they close at 5 PM, so I arrived at 4:30 PM, expecting to have a sandwich. However, I was informed that the kitchen was already closed. This was quite frustrating as there was no prior indication that the kitchen would close early. It would be helpful if the restaurant clarified their kitchen hours to avoid inconveniencing customers.

Yelp
The chicken pesto sandwich was not good. The chicken was cold and hard. It was up chicken tenders. I had to pick off all the chicken because I could even chew it. Overall, the ambience was really nice and it was in a super cute alley. The service was friendly. The food quality was just really bad. Would visit again. Just wouldn't order any of the food.

Yelp
I'm leaving a one star because I was really excited about trying this place and was extremely disappointed. After reviewing your reviews and my experience and I can confirm that whoever is in charge of this place should strongly take a look at their kitchen staff. After she makes a poor bagel and I return it so I can at least have it toasted, a kitchen worker proceeds to have an attitude and bicker. The ladies in front were very sweet but will never be coming back Without good food and bad service back there .. there's no point to have sweet girls in the front . Fix the kitchen staff immediately.
