Floating Dragon

Wow, what an unexpected gem! We decided to try Floating Dragon last minute after Soda Fish closed unexpectedly. Arriving at 6pm as they were opening, we were lucky to snag one of the very last available tables. Staff are so friendly and helpful. There’s a fantastic buzzing atmosphere, and it’s beautiful being so close / floating on the water. Nice sunset view - perfect spot for cocktails. Coincidentally they have a good cocktail menu too! The food was superb - the sizzling beef was a showstopper and tasted as good too. The crab & papaya salad was amazing- very spicy and zesty. The dumplings are also really delicious. We will definitely come back again! Highly recommended.

Excellent Chinese food at Lakes Entrance. $65 per person for entree, main and rice / fried rice but good quality food. We enjoyed it. Price is not cheap but you are paying the quality, views of floating restaurant and good service. The restaurant managed to squeeze us in without a booking yesterday but it was full house by 630pm. Will definitely be back next time.

Amazing views and simple food. Prawns were a highlight, fried rice could have done with a bit more attention. The Korean chicken was not as juicy as they should have been, but all of that became inconsequential when the sunset!

Amazing food! The location is a bonus. I thought it would be the other way around and I was more than pleasantly surprised at the amazing 5 star quality of the food. Absolute pleasure please do yourself a favour and visit

Food took a little long but everything was so fresh and delicious, it was worth it. Service was excellent, and exceptionally we tipped the waitress. Atmosphere is just perfect for the location. We had a few extra movement because of the weather that day but it was fun.

Not relying purely on the novelty of being a floating restaurant or the captivating view, the Floating Dragon proved to be a culinary delight with delicious flavours and excellent service. A well deserved five stars. (Only the pork belly entree could have had slightly more)

Amazing Asian style seafood, choice of 5 dishes to share between 2, good size portions, hardly needed rice, gorgeous views especially from the balcony, really friendly staff, good service, we came without a booking on a Saturday night and they tried really hard to fit us in, amazing floating restaurant on the lake

Excellent food, service and cocktails.my son said his calamari was the best he'd ever eaten....I have to agree.

Pleasant enough food. Dumbed down for everyone but have an odd booking system requiring a deposit paid to have s table booked. Would go back if I need Asian food. I wonder if I would if there were alternatives.

I'm surprised to see such good reviews, but my experience was the worst I've ever had. Came here for a birthday dinner - we were one of the first few there. We waited a good one or two hours for our meals to come out, and it was not worth the wait. Should have got up and left. Mine was almost inedible; whilst my family wasn't too impressed either. Very disappointing. I would like to come back and retry after seeing all the good reviews but I will never go back.

4 hours drive for a truly great meal. Service is excellent and the fresh produce and stunning views make this a must. Compatible to a Chinatown resturant.
