Flock is my wife's FAVORITE lifestyle boutique in Boston's South End neighborhood! Anytime I may in the need to get her a special or unique gift, Flock has become my #1 go to small business to depend on. My wife & I have been shopping at Flock for well over 13 years now, & it's constantly updating itself with new inventory. We appreciate knowing that what we're going to discover at Flock will most likely not be available at any other shop, giving us a sense of exclusivity. If you're looking for effortless style, then I can not recommend Flock high enough!

Flock is a true neighborhood treasure! If you're in the South End, take a few steps off the beaten path to this beautifully curated lifestyle boutique. Dani and Lisa have an exceptional eye, and this is always my first stop when I'm looking for a special gift for a friend or myself!

Google
Great store! Love coming here to get gifts - they have such a great selection that it makes it easy to find something for even that person you barely know or that person who has everything! They also have the sweetest, most unique card collection, so you’re all set on your gifts with one trip! And if you need something for your furry friends too? Have no fear - Polkadog Bakery is right next door!

I worked at this place. It was whatever. A good get well job. I was treated disrespectfully by my employers and it was like I was working with 12 year olds. The pettiest drama. I wont go into detail Overall, id say they sell some cute things. It is very overpriced because the owner has to make a dollar in the heavily gentrified area. Its the type of place where if your working class…you can maybe buy a lip balm. So over it. I could write a much more aggressive meaner review but I’m gonna stop myself here out of respect for the owner and her family. Lord knows I have some dirt on these folks.

Google
Super cute store and wonderful staff. Its the noncommercial anthro. They offer super unique dresses unknown and great brands, the selection is well curated. The staff are so helpful in helping you find something great whether a special occasion dress or new pair of jeans.I found out that I love wide leg pants here. Forewarning for allergies---they have some cute dogs here.

Google
Friendly and helpful staff. Wide selection of clothing of high quality from many smaller vendors. Prices are high so don't expect any bargains here. Clothing is mostly for casual/social event style, not much for professionals. Overall a fun place to browse.

I was staying in the south end and needed clothing for the trip — seek and you shall find fun well-priced leggings, tops, headbands etc conveniently located in a sweeeet shop in the neighborhood.

One of the best shops in the South End! Dani, Alex and team do an amazing job curating the store every season. I would be lost without them!

Yelp
Cute little feminine shop ... clothing , cute small items , jewelry, sage, cards ... staff was nice and helpful. Walked by and saw the shop - wasn't planning to buy anything but did :)

Yelp
Super cute store, I love the clothes there a lot. However, the worker paid little attention to the customers and was grabbing clothes and styles that were my size and I was interested in so her friend could have a fashion show.

Savannah H.

Yelp
All accessories are fancy and good quality. They make a huge effort to keep customers safe from COVID-19. Their clothes suit for young and charming girls. I felt joyful when I was in the shop. It's a pleasant experience.

Yelp
I just want to laugh at the previous reviewers about these "menacing" "barking" dogs. The dogs, Roscoe and Bo, are not only the cutest little pups in South End the owner rescued them...it's really quite darling! Anyhoo, about the real reason I'm reviewing is the beautiful store and fabulous clothing selection they have at Flock. The owners obviously poured their life into the design of the store and they have impeccable purchasing taste for each season. Also, the customer service is great! all the girls that work here are super cute and friendly! It is pricey, but it's completely unique pieces...and while most of Boston's ladies think that Anthropologie is worth their money, don't even think about it! Put your money into some really unique pieces, high quality and a local business. There are good sales too. I continue to watch some pieces going down in price until it's really low and I can afford it more. Gentleman, find out your ladies size and go buy her anything from here.

Yelp
Adorable spot to find yourself an outfit, a gift or just to browse. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Bought a pair of shoes for myself. A birthday gift for sons GF and a birthday gift for my daughter. Love that it in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Dropped by for the first time after work Wednesday. This shop is adorable! I loved just looking around at all the cute trinkets they carry. I ended up getting some jewelry dishes and cards for Valentines Day.

Yelp
It's stores like these that make me wish I was a millionaire. I would come here every weekend, try on every gorgeous dress they have, twirl around in front of the mirror, and then skip out with my arms full of stuffed shopping bags. In real life, it will be my new favorite place to browse, gush over amazing details like thinly cut shoulder pads in a perfectly flattering wrap dress, and eavesdrop on the bubbly chatter from neighborhood people popping in off the street. Everyone is ecstatic to have Flock in the neighborhood and there's good reason for that excitement. The collection of clothes and accessories is spot-on trendy while still maintaining a look of relaxed comfort. You could easily find an outfit professional enough for the Boston office, another look that is unique and sassy enough for a night out, and then a comfy pair of jeans or loose sweater perfect for the weekend. I literally want to redo my entire wardrobe here. But again, that's in my "if I was a rich girl" imaginary life. For now, it will be one cherished piece at a time, and then any bigger purchases will coincide perfectly with the direct deposit arrival of my annual bonus. Fingers crossed it's a big one this year.

Yelp
I worked in Boston for a few years and Flock was my happy place! The place i would run to at lunch for a little creative inspiration and the place I knew i could find the cutest gift for a friend! I'm not going lie...sometimes i just stopped in to play with their pups if i missed my own, after working long hours in the city! It's just a absolutely adorable boutique that the South End should treasure.

Yelp
I'm an unabashed fan of boutique shopping. Time and time again, I've spent my newly-earned benjamins on one or two pieces of well-made and timeless clothing when I could have easily purchased my entire spring wardrobe at American Eagle Outfitters. Flock is one of those places that makes me want to take a second job. As it stands, I can only afford to shop here once or twice a year (or when they're having a sale), but that doesn't detract from the high quality of the clothes and service. Though the shop is relatively small, it's packed to the gills with up to date, fashionable clothing. Some of it is super trendy, most of it is classic and timeless. All of it is well-made and reasonably priced for the quality. As for the service, the owners seem to understand that when a customer is shelling out major buckage for clothing, they expect a dedicated level of personalized customer service. Flock more than delivers on this count. Every single sales person I've encountered here has been polite and, more importantly, honest in their recommendations. Rather than making a quick sale, they seem to be more interested in making sure their customers actually leave the store looking good. I am a fan.

Yelp
An eye for design, trends, and fun pieces, Flock gets my 5 star rating for their unique selection. With designers ranging from Lauren Moffatt to Corey Lynn Calter this unique boutique is worth stopping in. I have a range of beautiful pieces from this store, and always find something I love and can't walk away without. Yes, this boutique has expensive pieces, but take a look around and you can find clothing that is not break the bank. Go in expecting different designers, functional pieces, trendy clothing, shoes, bags, and more. They also have fun and funky jewelry from up and coming designers. Hard to see why this store has some bad reviews, but in my personal opinion, you must stop by... Yes, they allow dogs into the store, and sometimes have their own dogs there, but I have never had a problem with their dogs. They have even grabbed additional pieces from downstairs that werent on the racks yet! Accomodating, chic, trendy, and great clothing!

Yelp
Super nice workers at this shop--great cards. I pop in to grab my Five Forks Farm share. The only downer is there's never any street parking and I've got tickets for double-parking for less than 10 minutes!

Lauren K.

Yelp
I've never taken the time to write a Yelp review before now. Flock has an amazing selection and the customer service is truly one of a kind. They stock great items at reasonable prices and usually have some good sale stuff as well! The jewelry selection is especially awesome. I am a Boston University student, and Dani, as well as the whole Flock team have truly gone above and beyond to support the student community in the past. This is a locally owned boutique that is more than deserving of your business. My only problem with Flock is how difficult it is to choose between everything in the store! If I remember correctly, they have a student discount, which is always appreciated.

Yelp
A fashion find. Ever changing styles from evening attire to lounge wear to everyday must haves. Gorgeous accessories and gift items for all occasions. Looking for something uniquely you, this is the place to find it. The Staff is incredible, friendly with extensive fashion know how.

Cameron J.

Yelp
Cute shop. A tad pricey. Good selection of Bohemian type clothes and jewelry. Fun window displays. Nice staff.

Yelp
I'd like to second the glowing review of Flock. I've stopped in here twice since this little boutique opened next to my favorite neighborhood food shop (South End Formaggio, naturally) and I've not been disappointed. The team that owns this place includes a mother-daughter combo and one of the daughter's friends. Brands are unusual and the clothing has a comfortable, easy aesthetic to it, without getting too cutesy. The staff is beyond helpful and will leave you to browse in peace if that is your preference - somewhat unusual in such a small store where you can sometimes feel like the staff is hounding you. All in all, definitely worth the trip to the South End!

Yelp
Love shopping local, especially in the lovely South End. Adorable clothing/accessories/gift shop. I buy so many gifts for friends from here (jewelry, candles, mugs) and love the style of clothes - boho chic. It kind of reminds me of a more personal Free People, but you can also buy cards and various other goods.

Katherine D.

Yelp
Great clothes, cute store. Heavy on one or two designers though so just be aware. The jewelry is really where its at though. My gripe here is that I walked in and was greeted by a menacing howling dog. The person working said something along the lines of they've been barking at people all day (so now this involves 2 dogs!) then just walked away. Im not really scared of animals, but if your medium to large sized dogs have been howling at people all day you should probably put them out of the public area. They were, of course, situated by the sale rack so i was unable to peruse for fear of auditory assault. I don't really get this whole dog in store deal, but if you're going to do it, do it right.

Marissa P.

Yelp
60 bucks for a cotton tank top!?!?! I think NOT. They definitely have some nice stuff, but nothing seemed to fit right on me and the prices were just ridiculous for most things. A few items were reasonably priced, but the rest of what I saw was just outlandish!!! Buying clothing should not feel like robbery. Also, two barking dogs being there was not pleasant.

Yelp
Stopped in very quickly after having lunch at The ridiculously small portioned overpriced lunch at Coppa. But that's another review! Flock has cute and different items. Definitely like anthropologie. I honestly wanted to stay and browse longer because I needed a gift for Mothers Day, but I was forced to leave because there appeared to be 2 or 3 dogs roaming or lounging in this tiny cramped place that annoyed the living hell out of me. If they didn't greet your nether regions they were quite frankly in the way. Flock, you are a retailer not a rescue shelter and you must understand not everyone of your customers are going to be dog lovers for reasons you may not be aware of. The dogs are just too much of a presence in a retail experience. I know you have defended your reasons for having them in the store as you previously stated but I never saw your sign. I know that sniffing is how dogs figure you out but I'm your customer trying to shop and I don't need strange dogs annoying me while I'm trying to relax, so I will probably not be back and you probably don't care but you should, because i am your target market not the poor college student. I am hoping this review will not cause you to try and defend yourself because that's a waste of time but help you to understand your customers needs better. Honestly, this is retail 101. God help you if someone trips over one of them and falls.

Yelp
I LOVE this adorable boutique. My biggest problem with Flock is that I go in looking for a gift for someone else and always buy something for myself! Fun, trendy jewelry, cute clothes (and shoes), and lots of unique accessories to taunt your eye and drain your wallet.

Nicole H.

Yelp
I've been into Flock a few times, and I'm always impressed by their selections. Recently, it's been all about accessories for me. The clothes are either not my style, too expensive, or something I can find in other places (ex. Free People). However, the jewelry, bags, belts and hair pieces are exquisite and unique. I'd scoop them all up if I had a money tree. Friendly as can be staff, and the location can't be beat. I love having this kind of store around!

Paloma M.

Yelp
I love this place!!! I would shop there every week if I could. Cute clothes and bags, amazing jewelry and home goods and many other nice things. The only down side is that things are pricey! But is like someone else said, I just can't resist! I always buy something cute to bring home.

Leah L.

Yelp
This boutique is super cute with unique items. Great selection of greeting cards as well and the sale attendant gave me a tote bag with my purchase. A bit on the pricy side is my only complaint. If you like shopping at Anthropologie, you'll like this place. Tons of gift ideas and a fun place to go with girlfriends.

Amanda R.

Yelp
Adorable boutique with unique items. They have a really great jewelry and shoe selection. Their clothes are a little expensive, but not surprising given how cute this place is.

Karen M.

Yelp
Stopped in for the first time today. Lovely!! They have some v. expensive designers that I ogled, tried on, but did not buy (Lauren Moffett!) but also some very affordable things. I found a beautiful Built By Wendy trench coat on super sale and some summer shirts. The vibe is very lowkey, there's a couch with magazines in the fitting room area for bored bf's or your friend aka fitting room audience. The staff (can't remember the girl's name?) was very helpful, friendly, and not snobby like I tend to find on Newbury. Did I mention their sale section was fantastic? Whoever curates the shop does a good job. Great experience, and I will be back. 100%.

Laura F.

Yelp
Thank goodness for Flock! I realized that my dress was rather see-through after I got to work. Flock is right around the corner, so I called them and asked if they had slips. They do! I was able to run right over, buy it, and wear out of the store. Thank you so much!

Jackie S.

Yelp
So disappointed. I walked twenty minutes only to find out they closed the day BEFORE Thanksgiving and failed to post it. Let your customers know in a more appropriate way!

Victoria G.

Yelp
i love this store and that the women there are so nice to me. they make it fun and positive and they don't pounce or force items on me. i just love that their unique clothing improves my mood. i most always leave with something because i can find what fits me and looks amazing on. it's one of the only boutiques or places in all of boston without nerdass clothing. it's really the only place i can count on that's a sure thing. in addition, i like going to coppa across he street for wine and snacks beforehand, and then i can go play and shop in flock. awesome, awesome daytime thing to do!!

Steph C.

Yelp
If I could give Flock no stars, I would. Although pricey, the clothing is worth it, they have a nice selection. The reason I will never return to this boutique is due to the customer service. As mentioned in another review, the barking dogs are not a nice touch particularly when customers are clearly frightened of them. The sales associate simply allowed the dogs to bark loudly and snap at us. What's more, the sales associate never once greeted us or even acknowledged that we entered the store. She simply kept her head lowered over whatever she was reading the entire time. The one time she did make eye contact, she simply glared at us. Although I wanted to try on a few items, I didn't even bother due to the extreme poor reception. We left utterly disappointed. Yet, later on we happily found another boutique with a much warmer atmosphere. In terms of clothing, Flock is alright. Yet, in terms of service I would never, ever recommend to anyone to shop here. How do you run a business with such awful associates? They are very rude and couldn't care less about customers.
