★★★★★ Unique, Cozy, and Cool Vibes Chic! Stayed at FlopHouze and yes — I paid to sleep in a shipping container… and I’d do it again. Super comfy bed, cool kitchenette, and a hammock out front that practically begs you to relax. Loved the quiet, the stars, and pretending I was off-grid (but with WiFi, obviously). No front desk — just a code and it was easy. Nigil was our guide, and was wildly helpful with all questions about town, including all the best suggestions for meals. 10/10 will be staying again, hanging in the one of a kind robes and bringing my camera. This place is a photo moment at every corner.

I cannot recommend Flophouze enough. I stayed here for a romantic getaway during the big January freeze and actually had a blast. Not only was the location of the hotel great, we also lucked out with the wonderfully heated pool, from which we could watch the cows (awesome), and a sauna which had recently been added to the amenities!

Very cool unique location! We recently held a Texas country wedding at Flophouze and could not have asked for better service or facilities! They were able to comfortably accommodate 53 out of town guests and supported us to create an event that won’t be forgotten. Matt & Nigel helped with all requests including an acustic performer by the pool and reception in the barn! Thank you for all you did for us! See you again 😊

LOVED staying at the Flophouz. The deign was perfect, we were so close to the Roundtop show, but felt miles away from everything except our girl trip. Cozy, clean and has so much character. We even connected with Nigil who not only made sure our stay was lovely, but also helped us with details around town. Such a wonderful escape. Felt off the grid with all the comforts you could need. Will definitely be back to this slice of heaven!!

We just finished an amazing weeklong stay. The hosts were so responsive and eager to make our stay perfect. The containers are super cool and have everything you need. Loved the whole bean coffee grinder in the morning. The sunset and a night dip in the pool just added to the experience. You’ll also love the stargazing. Look forward to staying again.

What a magical and magnificent place. The place is the perfect about of Texas charm and comfort in the country. The way the decks are made perfectly to view the sunset is amazing. The night sky is perfect. The host communication was superb. Very grateful for an unforgettable weekend!

This place was a scene out of a creative movie full of character, colors, uniqueness, history, and MORE! Eclectic meets country to create a place that just makes you smile! The containers were boho and charming and full of positive vibes! Nigel and Matt were GREAT to work with and Nigel was on point with the outstanding customer service he provided! Perfect location to shop til you drop! LOVED!

From the moment you pull off FM 1291 just a few minutes outside downtown Round Top, you get the sense this isn’t your typical “chain‑hotel” experience. The property is composed of up‑cycled shipping containers repurposed into boutique units — the very first hotel in Texas of this kind. Check in was seamless, we were greeted by our host Nigil, who truly went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and a lay of the land. The house was perfect for a last minute girls, Round Top trip! The hammock in the back was a little slice of Texas heaven. Will be back!!! I am already planning a trip to bring my boyfriend and dog back. My dog would have loved staying in one of the container spaces so much. Can’t wait to bring her back so she can enjoy the fresh air! Not many locations like this are dog friendly!!! Plus plus plus !!!

Stayed Oct. 24 for two no moon nights. OMGosh what a star and planet treat. We were the only people there so super quiet and the pool was ours. Nigel stopped by to drop off a pair of binoculars for star gazing. The place was just expected from the last trip. Clean, comfortable, no TV and quiet. Brought easy foods and just relaxed. Highly recommended if you want or need to get away. The website is very informative but there is so much more appreciate. Their hospitality is first rate. The town offers eats and there is plenty of countryside to see or not.

Go, now! What an incredibly unique experience. Clean, quiet, and fun! I stumbled across this place in Round Top by happen chance but look forward to coming back to stay again. It's an experience you won't regret. Plus, the owner and manager are top notch! They truly care about their customers. Highly recommend!

We had the pleasure of hosting our Leadership Summit at Flophouze Shipping Container Hotel in May of 2024. All 20 of the attendees were inspired by the myriad items found all over the property. This was the perfect canvas for illustrating the importance of creativity, collaboration, and steadfastness of purpose. For three days and two nights we were surrounded by the serenity of Round Top, giving us calm and clarity to develop stronger relationships and enjoy each other's company. The pool was a glorious evening setting after a long, hot day of work. Each house provided solitude for our leaders, while being close enough for spontaneous meetups and memories. The Farmhouse was a great place for meetings, whether it was the large dining table, living room, or back deck - everywhere you turned was a magical setting for ideating. We look forward to bringing teams here to experience the charm and authenticity of a property genuinely crafted with love.

Found this place on instagram and decided to give it a try. This is not a glamorous place, better for quiet getaways, or weekend getaways. If you need to detach from the city and find a quiet place to refresh I'd recommend. The hotel containers on located on a ranch but there's no one around, just occasional cows and horses that go by. So don't expect anyone to wait on you or to be around for help. Our container was clean and nicely decorated, beds were comfortable but bring your own sheets in colder weather because what's offered isn't much. Just enough space for a couple, 2-3 friends, family with one kid or people with small dogs. I wouldn't recommend for families with small kids, big families or big groups, unless you split the group in different containers. I enjoyed the quiet and peace, not a place for noise or partying. I wouldn't recommend for big girl or guy group trips because it would be rude to other patrons bc containers and common areas of close together and noise would disrupt everyone. Loved the free wood, fuel and space offered for fires at night. Smores are a must! Not much to do around the city of Roundtop and Brenham, so this place is great to just in a hammock, hang out at all day and just relax and unwind from the busy schedule of life.

This place is so great in so many ways. It's really really quiet and serene overlooking some beautiful rolling pasture land cows and horses included. Seems like there's always a nice breeze. The outside deck early n the morning and sunset allow for the best of all possible reconnect with the great outdoors. And the cats were so sweet and friendly it really added a nice touch. And inside the decor and bedding are absolutely perfect. Vintage record player and amazing album collection. We had listened to music on a turntable in quite some time. It was so nostalgic and fun. The Chemex coffee maker was new for us and we were delighted with how great it was. Very nice touch. 5 minutes to Round Top. Do yourself a favor and book it you won't be disappointed.

Talk about neat! We had heard about this place, and wanted to see it. The owners said sure, walk around. Each container is on piers, about 3 feet off the ground. Each one has a wooden porch and chairs. Living room, small kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. Everything you need for a relaxing weekend. There's even a container swimming pool, or hot tub, your call. These people have got it figured out! Sunrise on the porch with coffee, or sunset on the porch with a beverage of your choice, you'll love this place. Come check it out. AND Bediko's is right down the road. Be sure and stop!

I had the pleasure of staying at Flophouze in October 2022 for the antique show and truly enjoyed the container experience. Matt is an amazing host and he managed to create a perfect blend of industrial, innovation, design and surprise. The containers are playful and layered with interesting details, the view from every window is great and the outdoor amenities (patios, camp fires, container pool, BBQ zone) are a fantastic complement to the experience. Expect clear starry nights, mesmerizing sunrises, dramatic sunsets and a super chilled stay. Will come back!

This was so unusual and so much fun. We loved how rustic it is and the location out by a pasture. In the evening several cows, a calf, a few bulls and a horse leisurely walked by the containers, I guess for their evening walk. We made friends with two of the barn kitties that roam the property. They were very sweet. The beds were super comfortable and the air-conditioning unit kept the container cool. In the evening we put an Etta James album on the record player, opened the sliding glass door and sat out on the deck listening to cool music, drinking wine while watching the sunset. It was very surprising how spacious the bathroom is in this container and still had room for a bedroom, a little kitchenette and a living room with a sleeper couch. If you're wanting something different, this is the place to stay.

What a cool concept to turn shipping containers into a mod hotel! The windows made it feel spacious and we loved the boho chic decor. The room was equip with a record player with a solid record collection. There is a refrigerator that was stocked with coke and sparkling water, plus a microwave to heat up your food. We also built a fire at night and enjoyed watching the stores. The shipping containers are decorated with colorful graffiti that makes for fun photo shoots! They even have a pool made out of a shipping container. It was super quiet and relaxing! It's not too far from downtown Round Top, which is an antique shoppers dream. We definitely would recommend staying here for an unique getaway!

Loved this place.. the linens and duvet's were fab super Comfortable. The containers are actually pretty spacious . We had 2 adults and 2 kids in number VI (double bed plus bunk bed) - (I think using the sofa bed would Have made the place seem very small) We travelled with 2 kids (age 5 and 8 ) we All Had a FAB time. Highlights were the Pool, cooking s'mores at the fire pit, watching the cows In the evening and seeing the stars at night (big and bright!). We also loved exploring the 'Junk' around the yard... would love to come back!!

loved our stay and experience at the flop houze! all of the attention to detail with things that matter!! ie. comfy bed, great water pressure in the shower, nice bath towels, record player & lots of fun literature on things to do/see while in round top. although we were set to stay for two nights and the cancellation policy is quite strict, matt, the owner was more than accommodating to our situation. our neighbors were quite loud and we couldn't even hear them while inside the container. all in all, we wish we could have stayed longer and plan to stay again in the future for the big antique show.

This place was beyond amazing! We enjoyed our girls weekend and made wonderful memories this last weekend! We stayed in unit 4 which sleeps up to 6 and the 3 of us were very comfortable. We spent our days in Round Top and our evenings around the fire and hot tub. I'll be back in December with my mom for my birthday

We were passing through the area and thought it would be fun to experience a shipping container home. What a treat! We were not disappointed. Matt was so kind and helpful. He had problems with his water Main that day but went out of his way to accommodate. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The views of the pastures were peaceful and perfect! Thank you, Matt for going above and beyond. If we could give 10 stars- we would.

This place was an amazing one night get away! So interesting and very welcoming and comfortable. Slept like a baby in the most comfortable bed Plan to return with some girlfriends

This property is nothing short of a unique experience. Each container is unique and offers a beautifully curated kitchen, living room, bathroom, and bedroom! Matt is a true artist. They even have a fun community pool made from the same containers! It has a beautiful view of a field with trees and cows and that gorgeous Texas sky. Stick around for sunset on the back porch - just make sure you have a beer or cocktail in hand. Head on into Round Top for the best burger you'll ever eat at The Dugout! Thanks so much, Matt! We needed a break this summer but wanted to stay close to home. I found Flophouze on some influencer's Instagram and was totally sold, mainly because of the container pool. Roundtop is a 90-minute drive from Houston, so it was really easy to get to. There are 6 shipping containers for guests, with various configurations. Our's was funky-chic but very comfortable. Unfortunately most everything in Roundtop was closed, so there wasn't a whole lot to do, but we made good use of the pool and the fire pit (s'mores!). I'm looking forward to going back this winter for another visit.

Perfect quick getaway for 5 girls. We stayed in Houze #4. I love the eucalyptus spray in the shower! Matt is very nice and friendly. He responded very quickly to my calls and messages.

My mom and I had a great time and highly recommend for a quick getaway. The hot tub and container were both clean and fun! The only issue we had was there was a pretty aggressive cat that attacked my pup while sitting on the 'porch' and would not go away. It was a bit scary but didn't take away from the beautiful sunset/sunrise at this location. Would likely not bring a dog moving forward bc of this interaction. The town was very easy to access and restaurants not being open on Mon/Tues didnt take away from a great visit

To be frank if I could give a 4.5 I would. We had an unexpected weekend off from being a care giver and decided to go somewhere to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We found this place on Homeaway and ended up booking directly with them. We were fortunate to be there all alone one of the two nights we stayed there. We stayed in the first container and they are all a tad different. We liked the kitchen set up for this one is why we picked it. This place is more like a Homeaway set up than a hotel. No one will be there. You get your keys from a lock box. They have a store but even the times the doors were open we didn't see anyone. The entire time we were there we only saw one lady who was in container 3 one night. It is very cool place to wonder through the antiques. Our dog loved it as well. She didn't understand the cows but after a bit she calmed down. When the cows were in our area there was a calf on the other side of the fence and it was interesting watching the mom cows trying to teach it where to go. There was also a beautiful horse hanging out with the cows. Even though in June it was cooler here than it was in Austin. Sitting out on the patio one night I was actually a little chilly. The stars our amazing. We also got to see the space station one night. The AC units in the container worked well. The shower also had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. WiFi is strong. We truly enjoyed our mornings sitting on the patio sipping tea and coffee with our dog at our feet and listening to the record player. Extremely relaxing. We were also there the first weekend of the pool. Even though now looking at social media I don't think it was truly ready. It had temp stairs and I don't think the electricity was connected. We enjoyed one day in it. The next day it was very cloudy and we didn't want to get into it. I think it was because there was no filter on and there was a storm that probably got a ton of debris in it. So why the half star off. Our second night, I didn't sleep. As I already stated there was a bit of a storm and they have these sun shades connected to the containers between them. The metal hooks rattled all night and kept me up. I know why they have them. There is zero shade without them. Maybe just a bit of bad luck on my part but if you are a light sleeper something to be aware of. Do note I slept fine the first night. We did no cooking in the container or on their grill. We didn't want to do dishes. We made coffee and that was about it in the kitchen but it was nice to have the refrigerator and microwave. Overall a very enjoyable weekend. We truly enjoyed our time. Grateful we were the only ones there to let our dog be herself. We have told many people about the place. It has even gotten us thinking of future homes. I think it would be great for a couple set of friends for a weekend as well. We also took one of the koosies so we can keep advertising the place. Nice touch of them to provide them.

Flophouze was an amazing place to stay. Easy booking and checking in. The beds were comfortable and the sunrise and sunsets from the porch were amazing. Its so close to food and shopping its the perfect place to stay to get away.

We wanted to stay at a place that's outside the box. Not your ordinary hotel. Flophouze is amazing! From the time we arrived, we did absolutely nothing but relax. The hammock and the pool/hot tub. Your surroundings are so peaceful. We sat on the deck at night and gazed at the stars. The container itself is so well thought. The unique deco treasures. Everything you need is there. We brought our own food as we wanted to experience Flophouze nonstop. The fine details of welcoming drinks to the provided bath soaps and lotions. We will definitely stay at Flophouse again. Container #1.

My youngest daughter decided to decompress from work by treating herself to a couple of days of quietness in peaceful Round Top country side. She invited her Mom & Dad for a tour of Flophouze and Round Top for one afternoon. Six unique cargo containers / hotel rooms made up Flophouze. While the exterior looked just like a container, the interior was comfortably decorated. Each container had AC, mini refrigerator, and WiFi, but no tv. There was also a throw back record player with some old jazz, rock & roll, 60s vinyls. The container was separated into a living room/kitchenette, bathroom, and bedroom. The daughter said the bed was very comfortable and I found the small sofa comfortable also. Daughter said it was really relaxing and so peaceful to watch the sunset over a cow field from a hammock. The cost was $175 per night during the middle of the week. Couple of issues prevented a 5 stars rating. Issue #1 was the AC unit in the living room kept dripping water on to the kitchen counter. My daughter had to use bowls to catch the water. Issue #2 was a wasp had found a way into the container though an unknown opening in the wall. Overall my daughter found the container unique and enjoyable.

I found this place last minute. It was. Beyond what I expected. I stayed in container #1. My room was furnished with a retro Texan appeal. I enjoyed a peaceful night of sunset and stars. I felt like I was in a cocoon sleeping. I highly recommend this place for a reset!

Traveling for work and found this little gem. Flophouze is a testament to man's creative ability to think outside the box - "Cargo Box". Very cool interior design using architecural / savage and old shipping containers. Surrounded by the vista of farm, cows & horses while chilin by the pool or the fire pit, immediatley destresses the mind, body and soul. Easy access to great local shops and restaraunts, makes this spot my future go to while hitting that lower Texas cooridor. BTW - the owner Matt could not have been nicer and made sure the experience was unique and memorable! THE SIMPLE LIFE

Spent the weekend in flophouze #5! What an amazing concept! Not only super clean and comfortable, Matt and crew were super friendly and inviting. The sunsets, stars and country views were incredible! Highly recommend checking it out. You will not be disappointed.

My stay at the Flophouze was EVEN BETTER than I expected for a girls getaway weekend. The property has expanded to 6 containers with hammocks, a grill/picnic area and a STUNNING pool. Each container has a front porch and fire pit on the outside and GORGEOUS decor on the inside, with a little kitchen, modern spa-like bath (soap/shampoo/conditioner included), and fluffy beds. The country setting cleared our minds until we were just watching cows graze during the day and staring up at the stars at night. CHARMING and relaxing!!!

I stayed at the farmhouze this weekend but I got to check out the shipping container hotels while at the pool and I just want to say, I love this place. I think it's a beautiful gem in Round Top and I had the most relaxing, fun time while there. The furnishings were beautiful and while obvious that most things, if not everything there were repurposed, they were done in such a tasteful and elegant way. I really enjoyed my stay and the beautiful scenery. There's a fire pit behind the farmhouze that was put to use and hammocks that really sold how vacation away from congested city should feel. I would definitely come back and recommend the Flophouze Hotel to everyone.

We are huge FlopHouze fans! My family has been there 4 times already and counting! Its the perfect getaway from Austin and Houston. We love having our pup with us and the pool is so much fun.

We stayed the 1st week of Round Top after booking more than 6 weeks prior. I asked for early check-in as the only flight left us in Austin at 9 am and after picking up our rental car and driving 1hr 15 minutes to Warrenton we needed to relax. We were not allowed to check in early and were told may Kelsy that the condo ( for lack of a better term) was being cleaned after the last person checking out the same day. We drove to the containers about 11 am to see where we would be stay and note how far away the actually junking would be occurring. We saw 1 cleaning lady actually washing the windows. To me this is spring cleaning. Not just vacuuming, changing the linens & stocking up on clean towels & TP nor doing the dishes. I feel like this type of cleaning could have been done earlier in the week especially since I asked for early check-in and they had 1/2 of my money 8 weeks ago. Mind you, we were paying top dollar to stay peak season. Our 2 night stay less than 48 hours was over $650.00. We took off and began our junking adventure and returned to our condo at 2:58 pm. The cleaning lady was still there putting towels in the condo and another women was just beginning to mop the floor in the living room section. It basically had taken 2 women 4 hours and they still were NOT done. This container condo is barely 500 sq feet. I don't understand what the problem is and told them to leave as now they are cutting into my paid for time. One of them said, " I have 2 minutes!" As far as I'm concerned they needed those 2 monies to pick up their buckets and dust mops and head out the door! As we began to bring our luggage into the container a man, can't remember his name but, a friend of Matt's asked him to come over and make nice-nice. Basically, I told the guy I tired, need a shower and enough is. enough. He offered to buy as dinner ( OH BROTHER!) and asked what he could do we said no to his offers as we just wanted him to leave and now once again he is in my time & space limiting me from doing what I want to do: TAKE A SHOWER! I had requested when asked by the FLOPHOUZE in prior emails weeks before our arrival if they could put a 6 pack of Shriner in the Frig. They ask what they could do to make our stay more accommodating and I though that was simple enough BUT, not done. The man offer to find us some beer and ended up leaving us 4 warm shriners we later found after our showers. In texting back and forth with Kelsy she made a big deal about how this guy gave us his own private stock of beer to try and accommodate our needs. Seems as anticipation and coordination is not something this corporation excels in. I finally get the man to leave and get in the shower and the shower head has a low flow nozzle on it. It was difficult to wash my long hair and the entire time I was there I felt like I had gummy residue in my long straight strands. Other things wrong and neglected with the Flophouze were reported to Kelsy however, she just made excuses why I didn't know what I was talking about. After numerous back & forth texts regarding the coffee pot I realized this is her job and she is not going to cop to insufficiencies. My suggestions is rent this place and your own risk! The price point is high for the trendy concept. It could have been an amazing time but, I wouldn't do it again. If I want to stay in a 500 sq feet container again in Texas, I'll bring my 16 ft trailer.

Came for the Round Top/Warrinton shopping and fell in love with this place. Absolutely perfect! My girlfriends and I completely enjoyed the room, the pool and the view cannot be beat!!!!! We will definitely will return on our next trip to the area!

So in love! We were fortunate enough to book two container hotels during Antique Week at Round Top for two nights and we had the best time ever. From booking with Jessica over the phone- who answered all of our questions and quick to respond on email- we knew staying at the Flophouze was going to be a magical treat. They definitely give the 5 star treatment in what feels like middle of nowhere. The container hotels were clean, well designed, thoughtfully decorated- we all want to buy one to live in! We had a welcome gift on our bed from local vendors, a great guide book to Round Top. The fridge was stalked with waters, Topo Chicos and coca colas. We were welcomed with snacks like granola bars and popcorn, a chemist coffee maker, and a diverse selection of records to play. We would sit on our back patios and watch the horses and cows come right up to us from the field. We decided instead of eating out, we would pick up food and enjoy the peacefulness of the Flophouze, playing Willie Nelson on the record player. There was also a container pool on the property with hammocks and bon fires. We used it as a pool but it also turns into a hot tub. Such a brilliant unique idea- great for friends, families, you name it. Everything is about 5-10 minutes from the Flophouze. I will be coming back to escape the city lights of Austin! :)

We stayed at the Farnhouze as group of friends. We totally loved it, the place was beautiful, so quiet and peaceful. The Houze felt welcoming, decorated to a very high standard, just gorgeous. We will be back

Heavenly! A quick getaway to unwind from a stressful week...after watching the sunset from the deck, then listening to the small but mighty vinyl collection with crickets chirping in the background as a sky full of stars came out, I was more relaxed than I've been in years. Loved everything about Flophouze and will definitely be back!

If you're looking for a great place to stay in Round Top this is it! Cows and horses graze the property... all the art and decor is for sale... this place is a little country and a little funky! We had a girls trip and stayed at "The Farmhouze": It has a back and front porch to enjoy a cup of coffee or a drank; 4 bedrooms; sleeps atleast 10 not counting the sofa; washer and dryer, fire pit, plush robes, towels, sheets, etc. Great place to stay for a family reunion, weekend getaway, Friendsgiving, Christmas! We will definitely be returning for more hilarious fun!!

Stayed with my husband, college age daughter and our dog. The "room" was just right for all off us. We cooled off in the Modpool after the scorching 102 degree day. The pool made for some priceless memories. We took pics that had us laughing harder than we have in a long time. After our swim we relaxed on our patio and enjoyed the sunset, followed by an amazing night sky. Saw some fireflies and even had the local herd of cows wander by. They thought of everything in this "tiny" space. We will definitely be back.

Wow...this was my second stay at the Flophouze and not my last but first time to visit the Venue on property amazing items all with a story to tell. I did notice a new pavilion area for gathering with a BBQ station and of course the new pool installation can't wait to return and take a dip. I highly recommend if your looking for some quiet time to spend in the Texas Hill Country with great views of Texas landscape the Flophouze is the way to go.

We were traveling during the Covid mess and wanted something fun and off the main drag a little, and wow were we surprised! This is a gem, quiet campfire and cows and horses and deer! Only issue was enough hot water for a couple of showers in the morning but the water isn't cold, just wasn't hot after a bit. Otherwise this place is great! And convenient to Round Top!

This little slice of paradise is perfect for a weekend trip or just when you need a break from reality. My boyfriend surprised me with a night at this hidden gem. When you drive onto the property you are immediately submerged into what seems like another dimension. The unit we stayed in was absolutely perfect. The view was to DIE FOR. Absolutely an amazing experience all the way around. The owner, Matt, was very helpful and kind during our stay. We were able to turn the pool into a hot tub with just a flip of a button. Truly one for the books, if you haven't checked this place out yet- you need to!

Rented the Farmhouze at the Flophouze. This was a very disappointing experience for us. We left immediately after check in because of the moldy/musty smell that aggravated my breathing right away. I couldn't stay there. There was also a very large hornet in the living room that looked like it came out of the ceiling. There were many hornets out back near the carport. We found mouse droppings when I was looking for paper towels under the kitchen sink. The Host did not reply when we expressed issues. And when we canceled our trip did not refund us in a fair manner. Basically the house didn't meet our expectations and the $600 refund for the $1700 trip was a joke considering we didn't spend any more than a few minutes in the house. Basically he stole our money. The house is directly situated on a main country road and it doesn't appear that way in photos. The photos feel misleading. It's a high speed limit main country road and you can hear traffic noise from every room inside the house. The location also doesn't feel safe to me as I was planning to stay on my own for a few nights when my daughter and husband were going to leave early. I wouldn't have felt safe doing that. The house is decorated beautifully I will give it that. I couldn't stay because of air quality (mold/musty) which I noticed immediately. The host was unreasonable and didn't offer a refund that was fair given the fact we couldn't stay. I'm very disappointed in the whole experience. Think twice about booking this property especially if you won't be able to get to a new location quickly. For the price, I would have expected a luxury experience from the house itself and the host.

Such a great concept! The containers are awesome! It's kind of like clamping, just better! The "houzes" are all decorated super cute-we walked away inspired ! Sunsets are amazing! The fire pits are really big and sitting around them was fun! They do have a hot tub (think they call it a pool, so since it was cold we did not bring suits...so don't make the same mistake we made! The people who work at the barn are really nice and helpful as well. Would certainly stay again!

My Brother and I stayed in the "Beach House" this past weekend. Cozy lil house on a good size lot with a nice little pond to fish. Perfect getaway from the rat race of life. Very private and quiet location. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here. You will love it!

The Beach House was perfect! Love the shipping containers also, but we needed more beds this time. It's a great location for the antique show and it was just perfect for our group. It felt clean and new, but also comfortable and welcoming. A wonderful, quiet getaway! Will definitely stay there again.

FlopHouze is unlike anything you've ever stayed in before! Each container is a little different, but ours was super cool. We had everything we needed - a seating area and kitchenette with sink fridge and microwave, as well as a separate bedroom and bathroom. Open the large glass sliding doors to the deck/outside area where you can take in the gorgeous sunsets or watch the cows graze. Each unit even has their own fire pit! You can tell these are well thought out because of the unique details and finishing touches such as the record player, cool art, and upcycled decor. The bed was very comfy and the linens and towels were high quality. The shampoo and conditioner were natural feeling and smelled like tea tree oil which we loved. There is A/C in each room if you need it (we didn't) and firewood provided (huge bonus!) Perfect for couples, families, and anyone really! Matt even made a little welcome book with all of his recommendations and things to do. There is actually a lot to do around the area that we will take advantage of next time! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

My wife and I stayed here recently, and enjoyed it tremendously. The room was comfortable and had more amenities than expected (French press coffee was a nice touch). There was nothing like spending time together by our fire pit late at night with a glass of wine, then ending up back inside the room with Loretta Lynn on vinyl, popping popcorn and playing Scrabble. Simple pleasures. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing weekend family get away here! My kids loved the container pool and the container house we stayed it. So cool and had everything we needed.

And now for something completely different!! Wow!! My girl and i stayed here for 2 nights this spring and LOVED IT!! Sure... its not like staying in a traditional hotel room, but what it lacks in traditional amenities it more than makes up for in charm and personality.... don't get me wrong, the flophouze def tries to meet all of your expectations! A five star hotel its def not, but they sure try hard to give you a fun and excellent experience!! Clean, comfy and super cool!! Sign me up!!

I LOVED staying @ THE FLOPHOUZE HOTEL in Round Top, Texas a few weeks ago so much that I'm going back again this weekend. The shipping container hotel FlopHouzes are unique & impressive - there's even a shipping container pool with a glass wall on one side of the container that we had access to, to cool of & relax and take some cool fun pictures. The accommodations were top notch, casual & relaxing & decorated with unique findings & antiques from all over from different destinations, in each FlopHouze we had fresh coffee beans with coffee bean grinder & coffee pot, small refrigerator with creamer & drinks provided, the bathroom had a hair dryer, nice plush white bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, bath soap - the bedroom had a huge picture window next to the bed to frame the darkness of the country night & welcome the rising sun of a new day while snuggled into white summer cool & crisp 100% cotton linens. We enjoyed grilling out on the covered patio @ the back of the property @ sunset, watching the cows from the neighboring property come over for a visit to say hi, a few horses made an appearance to come see what we were doing & the local FlopHouze cat also came & hungout a bit. Also, shopping @ Recycling The Past that's on the property is a must. #STAYAWESOME
