The omelet is consistently good and a baked good, or two, to go is essential. Sunday lunch is the best deal going in town - make sure to book

Brisbane: Just as cool as Syd/Mel, I promise

Enjoyed brunch as a group of 4 on a Saturday morning. We got a table outside straight away, being 9.30am but service was a little slow and disjointed. I liked the omelette, coffee was good too. Would suggest more fans in the outdoor area.

Delicious almond croissant & banana bread. All the pastries look so delicious and have a real wholesome, 'homemade' taste. I love the vibe of cafe and also good strong coffee

This is one of my most favourite lunch places, because they have a roster of professional baristas who are knowledgeable on specialty coffee, and they also offer rotating (seasonal) choices of single origin for batch brew and espresso coffee. The current Yeehah blend is bold nutty and sweet but it isn't my personal favourite as I am allergic to Robusta and dark roasts. Batch brew coffee was always great! For a few times when their batch brew ran out, they did pour-over coffee for me on the spot! Food menu is not extremely exhaustive but delicious (shorter menu than the one 2 year ago). The scrambled eggs and Omelette were both juicy and soft. The sourdough for Omelette today was not as chewy as before, thumbs up! The cafe is located at the corner of a street surrounded by houses with beautiful architecture. Music volume is also just right, providing a cosy vibe without disturbing conversations. Two 1/2P parking spots right outside the cafe and street parking was usually not too difficult.

This cafe completely blew me away! I had the wagyu beef tartare with a poached egg and their house-made flatbread — the flavors were incredible. The tartare was beautifully fresh and creamy, and the flatbread complemented it perfectly. It’s such a unique and refreshing change from your typical cafe menu. I also tried the matcha honey soda, which was recommended by the owner’s lovely mother, and it was the best suggestion — super light, refreshing, and just the right touch of sweetness. The space itself has such a cozy and inviting vibe, and the owners and their family are genuinely lovely people. Their hospitality really makes the experience feel special. This is hands-down my new go-to cafe on my days off — the perfect place to relax and enjoy something delicious.

It was a pleasure to discover Florence Cafe today. My friend, who I dined with, recommended it and she knows her stuff. The staff are very pleasant, know their regular customers and greet them as friends. My fresh juice of strawberry and watermelon was tasty and refreshing. Today was a new menu, seeing the return of prawn toast. Forget your previous experiences with prawn toast. This toast is served on thick slices of sour dough, topped with prawns and a delicious sauce. So popular that regular customers demanded that it be returned.

A truly delightful experience. I don't know if it's the coffee buzz talking or if there's cocaine in the pickles but the good vibes linger long after you leave Florence. If you ever need to ask someone a favour or give them bad news, bring them here because the good feelings are so strong that anything will land softly. It's good food, good surroundings, good service. No notes, just go.** ** Apparently crowded on weekends but you can avoid this problem by quitting your job and going on a weekday. Highly recommend, it's worth it.

I think I’ve found my new favourite cafe. It’s been a while since I’ve been to cafe that has nailed the coffee and the food. We ordered an espresso, batch brew, matcha latte, Florence bowl (with the black citrus avocado) and the flatbread. Every single element was perfect.

Florence Cafe has been a favourite of mine over the years, consistently delivering exceptional food with beautiful presentation and a charming Mediterranean rustic vibe. The freshly baked sourdough, unique crockery, and thoughtful menu options always impress. While the service is usually warm and welcoming—especially during my October 2024 visit when the staff were chatty and engaging—there have been occasional lapses, like in February 2025 when a lack of friendliness dampened the experience. Despite this, the quality of food and coffee keeps me coming back, and I always look forward to my next visit.
