Been coming here since they first opened and I am very happy that their business has grown a lot over the years. They truly deserve all the success. Recently I got an omelette with their potatoes and it was sooooo good and very filling! I have also had their Nutella waffles before and they’re so yummy and fluffy.

We visited on Saturday, October 18, to celebrate both my birthday and my daughter’s 11th birthday, and everything about our experience was absolutely wonderful. The chicken soup was outstanding—rich, flavorful, and full of fresh vegetables. It tasted exactly like homemade chicken soup, the kind your mom would make when you were little. The broth was perfectly concentrated, and for that delicious soup alone, I give five stars without hesitation. The coffee was excellent—fresh, smooth, and never bitter. The staff offered refills generously, which made our breakfast even more enjoyable. I would easily give the coffee a 10 out of 10. We also tried the mini waffles with berries, which were light, fluffy, and perfect for sharing. My daughter had the green chilaquiles, and they were exactly as we requested—not spicy, since she doesn’t eat spicy food. They came beautifully served with rice and beans, and she loved every bite. For my birthday meal, I ordered the carne asada, cooked exactly the way I asked—tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It was served with two over-medium eggs, potatoes, and a fresh salad. The meat was so soft that it was a pleasure to eat and enjoy every bite. To make the celebration even more special, the waiters kindly sang “Happy Birthday” to both my daughter and me, bringing a cheesecake topped with fresh berries. Everything was so fresh, delicious, and made with care. Our server was incredibly kind, polite, and attentive, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. We truly appreciated his warmth and professionalism. It was a lovely family moment—especially since my son, who is currently away at college, joined us to celebrate. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making our birthday celebration truly unforgettable. We’ve often walked past Florence Prime Diner, but this time we decided to stop in—and I’m so glad we did. From now on, this will be one of our favorite places in Jackson Heights. We’ve been there twice now and both times were fantastic. These were the breakfasts we had, huevos rancheros, chorizo & egg, chilaquiles. All were excellent and the coffee is great too. Staff is wonderful, friendly and extremely good at their jobs. Can’t wait to be in the neighborhood again to go!

This spot is truly an Elmhurst gem. The breakfast menu is extensive, and I especially recommend the salmon eggs Benedict and the chorizo scramble. I appreciate that every dish comes with a side of fresh vegetables—it makes the meal feel both healthier and more satisfying. Portions are generous, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Definitely stop by—it’s conveniently located just off the 7 line.

Amazing experience here! Went for breakfast, the place was clean, staff was friendly, but most importantly the food was on point. Best steak ive had in a while- it was juicy and perfectly seasoned. Fries were perfectly crispy. Will come back!

This is honestly my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Every dish is done better than you’d expect; both the ingredients and the presentation, often the portion sizes too. It’s a good cross between a sit down restaurant and a diner.

I stopped by for breakfast and had an incredible experience. I brought family who were visiting from the West Coast, and they absolutely loved it!! The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, making it the perfect place to start the day. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. The breakfast was very delicious. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend this diner to anyone looking for great food, great service, and a welcoming vibe!

The guacamole is to die for, so fresh. Service is spot on and the ambience is congenial. Come here if you want fresh great food! Ill be back.

Service was friendly and prompt. Lots of attention to fill your water glass. Wanted to try the roasted beet salad and it did not disappoint. The dressing was just the right amount- not overly drenched or too little. If you like beets , this one is for you. The fries with the chicken club could have been more crispy and less salty otherwise it was fine. The shrimp and linguine was tasty. Good number of shrimps. Food came out without much of a wait. The garlic bread was yummy! Nice and thick and warm. Nice option in a block with many fast food establishments.

My friend suggested we meet for brunch on a Sunday at this diner. It was much nicer than a diner -- felt modern and clean. Our servers were very friendly (despite our indecision and delayed ordering due to catching up before even looking at the menus) and informed us of the daily specials. I decided to get the special burrito with bacon, chorizo, scrambled eggs, cheese and home fries. My friend got the California omelette. The food came pretty quickly. I was extremely happy with my burrito, plenty of chopped up bacon. It was huge so I ended up packing half of it to go along with some of the potatoes. Definitely would recommend giving this a place try.

Ate here today by myself for lunch on a warm Saturday afternoon. I had brought and ate only the chorizo con huevos that it tasted pretty good and delicious. The service there was also attentive. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time.

The Chicken and waffles with a spicy maple syrup is delicious. Perfect combination of sweet, salty, and spice. Great service, very welcoming and attentive.

Delicious food and friendly staff. The Pozole was amazing. We shared a bunch of dishes and had no complaints.

My boyfriend loves diners and we decided to find our new diner spot in Queens and boy are we glad we found Florence. First of - you can get your typical diner food...AND MORE! We both got Mexican food - he got tacos and I got chilaquiles. I also got a horchata which was delicious. The staff were super attentive and the diner has great vibes - love the decor. Will absolutely be back!

I don't know why working in the area it took me so long to eat at Florence. The service is friendly and quick. I've never waited more than 15-20 minutes for my order. The food is fantastic. It's fresh and tasty. I usually stick to my go to which is a chicken Gyro and sweet potato fries. I've had their Caesar salad and other chicken sandwiches. Either way, I don't think you could go wrong with anything you order.

Recommended by my dentist office (right across). Food was delicious, great ambiance and the staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

How would I describe my experience at Florence prime diner? I walked in around 9:30 am with my family in time to order the grilled skirt steak eggs hollandaise off the brunch menu. There are a myriad of delicious brunch options. Yummy! One thing I can say is that they have friendly service. It is busy, yet worth it. I would definitely recommend it to others if you have kids or a date. It's a cute atmosphere inside!

Once again. Amazing food and service. Our 3rd time here and they always remember us and make me a fresh pot of decaf coffee. We started with pork Al pastor tacos. They are heavenly. Super fresh with little surprise bites of sweet pineapple. I had legendary eggs Benedict. With Canadian bacon and home fries with fresh peppers and onions. Spectacular. Hubby had a chicken gyro with mixed fries and he was really happy. Unfortunately parking around here is a nightmare. We really should take the subway. We'll remember next time. And there will absolutely be a next time. Thanks again.

Definitely a local hidden gem that was much needed for the neighborhood. Once again I dropped the ball and took no photos but we had lunch for 3 people. When you walk in the restaurant is clean and very trendy looking. The bar looks awesome to have a meal at as well as a cocktail. Very nice selection of drinks with a tv to watch while you sit at the bar. Let's start with the food. I had the steak sandwich served with caramelized onions and an amazing chimichirri sauce! The sweet potato fries were also fresh and I believe house made. Highly recommend My friend had the chicken burrito that was enormous and delicious. Finally the meal was a breakfast platter that tasted as good as it looked. I will definitely be back

Pleasantly surprised at how good this place was. I had the California omelette with a sub for salad and green smoothie. The food was excellent and the service was great as well. I will definitely be coming back here often.

My friend and I were in the hunt for amazing pancakes. That search brought us here and wow it did not disappoint. She got both breakfast plates and I tried it as well. Stellar. The pancakes were super fluffy and tasty. I got the skirt steak sandwich and also amazing, the steak was slightly tough/fatty but cooked perfectly and juicy. Our sever Cathy was the best. She was so sweet and helpful, attentive but not too much. The restaurant itself was so modern and clean we really liked the vibe. They had a full bar and a great menu, enough choices but not overwhelming. Debated between the 4 and 5 because of the steak but ultimately for the price and the food and great service. 5 we will definitley be back.

Took my daughter here for breakfast after an airport drop off ... and the food was AMAZING!! My daughter has the chocolate chip pancakes. She raved about it and nearly finished the adult size serving (which is way more than normal). I had the huevos rancheros - at the recommendation of the waiter - and it was delicious. Service was terrific and decor/ambiance was adorable also. Coming back here soon ... definitely recommend!

First off it was copa America game Sunday night every where packed but here, it's such a lowkey hype place serving great food and drinks with reasonable prices, the bar is new remodeled and decor is earthy, the steak burrito meal was Amazing for the portion, packed with meat and the salad that came along with it was sweet savory acidic and had everything in it for a salad pure amazing, the vegan burger with sourdough bread was filled with different flavor from the usual ones and tasted REALLY GOOD, and the mixed sweet potato fries and regular fries were the perfect combo, will definitely becoming back again!

**Delivery Review** Wanted to try a new spot for Saturday late morning brunch, and this place has excellent reviews. Typical large diner selections with a large Mexican menu as well. Decided to get an order of BBQ Wings ($14). About ten slathered wings served alongside a heap of coleslaw. Sauce is fine - tangy and sweet while covering the wings completely. The chicken isn't overcooked and comes off the bone nicely. Coleslaw is an afterthought - alright in between bites of the wings. Delivery is quick and efficient, still warm and no food gone awry. Would probably order from here again.

Great food and genuine friendly service is all my daughter and I need when dining out. Thank you to Michelle and our two waiters who shared the Mexican chocolate ingredient:)

Nice modern diner with a bar. There is an extensive brunch menu with typical American dishes as well as Mexican dishes. I had huevos ranchero which comes with a side of rice and beans. It was filling and very tasty! The latte was on the bitter taste. We also had a fruit smoothie which was delicious and sweet. It tastes a bit like candy!

love this place ! Will return, read below for why. So we stumbled in here randomly for a refreshment, much to our surprise the very friendly owner/hostess informed us it was happy hour. Well enough said, we sat down. We ordered a mimosa and glass sparkling wine, each 5$. That's a pretty good deal for a random find on a monday if you ask me. But what's special about this place are the ladies that run it, they are so kind, make you feel at home and safe. Ambience - diner feel, clean, new, great vibe. Food - TBD, didn't order any food because we had dinner plans elsewhere. Menu is a mix of american diner food and Hispanic cuisine, can't wait to return. Bathroom- clean. Seating - ample seating at sit down tables or the long bar at the entry. next to the 7 train or a slight walk from the 74th/Jackson heights stop.

Don't walk, run to this place ! Great ambiance, great food, great service and beautifully paired food with sides. The food is nicely presented on ceramic stoneware. Constant refills of drinks. The prices are the same as local eateries and diners. This place is great for lunch, dinner breakfast all day. Alot of groups go for lunch. Oh, they have a nice beer selection.

What an amazing restaurant! This place is truly a gem in the area. The customer service goes above and beyond, and the food is the best brunch I've had in a long time. The prices are reasonable, and I'll definitely be returning. They offer freshly squeezed orange juice. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Stopped in for a late Sunday breakfast, super friendly staff sat us quickly. Great music and TVs showing a variety of things. Some classic diner variety (with the added bonus of tacos) on the menu and food came out hot and quick. Eggs Benedict was absolutely delicious. Will be back!

Outstanding food and service! I was welcomed by an waitress named Catherine so warmly that I felt like she knew me. The food was served quickly and was hot and delicious! While enjoying my delicious meal I noticed how nicely decorated the restaurant was. In addition to being clean and well lit! Well worth a visit!

Best customer service in Jackson Heights. I love the Caesar salad, nachos, fries, and beers on tap. They make really good margaritas, too. The plates and bowls are cool unique ceramics. Went to FLORENCE PRIME DINER in Elmhurst for a beer since I noticed they had some on tap. Sat down at the bar and asked for a Guinness on tap. Pour was good with the right amount of foam, and it was at the perfect cold temperature. Seeing people eating around me, I asked the wait staff what their best sellers are. One of them was Seafood Fra Diavolo with Shrimps, Calamari, Mussels, Clams and Salmon in a spicy marinara sauce. The pics should tell it all, but realized that I should have taken more pics as I devoured the dish. Least to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the dish. The Seafood Fra Diavolo was served on a 12-inch plate with a side of toasted baguette. As you can see in the pics, the plate was full of seafood goodness. Another pic after a few bites and the last pic with the final shrimp to finish the plate. The seafood tasted fresh and not fishy. And the sauce, the sauce tasted like it was patiently cooked by an authentic Italian chef, was so tasty and not watery at all with the noodles cooked al dente. The spice was just right, but I did tell them that it should be much spicier for me next time. Overall, I enjoyed the taste of the dish a lot. I was stuffed with no room for dessert. Great choice. Will I recommend Florence Prime Diner??? OH YEAH!!!

We love everything about this place--food,drinks,staff,decor, cleanliness! Wow! The food and drink selection and passionate customer service have made us feel special, comfortable, and well fed. You will be pleased.

First time I ate at this location. Ordered for pick up. Got a chicken Gyro wrap, and a beet salad. Relatively basic food but I have absolutely no complaints with the quality of the food or the service in the restaurant.

Had an impromptu brunch for Mother's Day. The steak sandwich was delicious and juicy. Waitress recommended getting it with the garlic fries and she was on point, awesome. Cobb salad with grilled chicken was huge and fresh. Watermelon juice was tasty and not too sweet. Highly recommend.

I hate giving mediocre reviews but sometimes it's unavoidable. Hopefully it inspires improvement. Firstly, parking is extremely limited. Expect to walk several blocks to your destination. Very appealing establishment. We made reservations the day before for a large party of nine and were immediately seated. Few other diners were present but we still waited very long to have our orders taken. The coffee was excellent but a refill took around 25 minutes. The food was very good but the server brought items we didn't order and omitted sides that took way too long to arrive. Luckily the companionship made up for the lackluster service. Overall, not a bad choice if you live nearby but I wouldn't make a special trip there.

We tried this diner for the first time recently and were so glad that we did. They have a large selection of breakfast/brunch options - we chose eggs Benedict and a "breakfast" pizza, along with their delicious hot chocolate. The restaurant itself is very clean and is a welcome addition to the neighborhood... We'll be back soon!

We came here for brunch and it was amazing! My wife got the Cuban Panini with a delicious house salad and I had their chorizo beef blend burger (Cori Burger) with avocado, grilled onions and cheddar and a delicious house salad. I know, I normally don't make friends with salads but this one was exceptionally well made! Love their friendly staff and decor. Come here for brunch, you won't be disappointed! Support this lovely local business!

This is one of my favorite brunch spots serving up yummy food with great portions. They recently opened up this year and I have been going since their opening and they're a great addition to the 82nd street area. Some of my favorite things to get are the pancakes, nutella waffles and calamari and they serve a great variety of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There is plenty of indoor seating and you can probably get a table by walking in any time. The servers are also super friendly and the vibe inside the restaurant is also pretty nice. Overall Florence is a great spot to stop by for a meal with friends.

I can't believe it took us 5 months to find Florence Restaurant. We are not getting out enough! I read about a pretty terrific meal in my foodies group, and we had to give it a whirl because I can't say no to short ribs. Especially when said braised short ribs are nestled among cheese and avocado, squished between crunchy, toasty bread. Yes, Please! We were happily surprised by the sweet potatoes mixed in w/fries for a side. (You could opt for salad, but that's no fun.) The portions are very generous. We will try more of their massive menu at some point, although I suspect that I will need to get the short ribs sando again. Eventually, I may get around to trying other things. We got a Cubano and that delectable short ribs w/avocado sando. 2 thumbs up!! Used their online ordering for scheduled pickup, and it all went smoooothly.

Solid experience for a great price! I took my mom there while I was visiting for the weekend. In typical Hispanic fashion, when she saw the outside of the place, an immediate judgmental look came on her face, as if I were taking here to a basic cafe haha. It once we walked in, she was impressed by the decor, the seating, the plating and overall atmosphere Decor/Atmosphere: 5 stars. It's clean, new and decorated very nicely with neon lights. Simple tables, no booths, but it's pleasant! Food: 4 star. We're had the banana pecan pancakes, the steak Benedict, caffe latte, and a Pork Alpastor taco. The pancakes were a little dry, but the banana pecan flavor comes through great. The syrup adds moisture and makes the pancakes quite enjoyable! The Benedict's and homefries were solid, the latte was good (and I'm not the biggest coffee drinker) and the taco meat was well seasoned ( although a little dry and slightly charred) Price: 4.5 stars. One thing we noticed was how "cheap" the prices were. I think anywhere else I'd expect to pay 20+ per dish, but each one was less than 17$. Paid overall 55$ (with tip and tax) and came out full! Service: 4 stars. This place seems new so I think they're still trying to figure things out. The staff is very pleasant and more than willing to help with anything. But small stuff like having to ask for water and not having utensils until the food got there is something we noticed. But overall they were solid! Overall impression, solid place! I would show new friends this spot and if I'm in the mood for brunch spot for pancakes or American breakfast nearby, I'd go for sure!

A hidden gem in Jackson Heights! The setting is beautiful, and the service is great. The staff is very friendly and nice. I came here twice and it didn't disappoint. I do love their breakfast, and their portions are a decent size. I loved their omelet and french toast. Es un ambiente bonita y los travajadores son de buena onda.

Came for the first time today. I think this place has a great potential. The staff were all very kind and friendly. The service was very thoughtful and professional and prompt (there were at least 10 staff running around and we interacted with about 6 different people). The restaurant interior has a nice design and the music and vibe and general atmosphere were all great. The menu has options without being overwhelming and the prices are good. We started with drinks and I had a cappuccino which was perfect- hot, delicious and beautifully presented! Where the experience fell apart for me was the food. I ordered salmon eggs benedict and the only element of the dish that seemed freshly prepared were the beautifully poached eggs. Breakfast should be served hot and fresh. The dish came out way too quickly to have been prepared to order and when we tasted it, it was clear it wasn't. The toast underneath the eggs were soggy and lukewarm, the grilled onions were also lukewarm and tasted like they had been made the day before. Even the kale was turning yellow/old in some places. The dish tasted good- honestly, the recipe doesn't seem to be the problem- but breakfast should be served and prepared freshly. I think this place could and should be packed on a Sunday morning at 10am, but it was almost empty, maybe 4 other customers besides us. Perhaps others have had a similar experience? Also, not a huge issue but the soap in the bathroom was empty and the surfaces were dusty and didn't appear to have been cleaned in a while. Kind of adding to the feeling that this place and the way that's it's running feels like it needs more love/attention. Excuse my inner Gordon Ramsay, but, It seems strange to me to be served cold food and have a dusty bathroom when there were 10 people working and 6 customers. And all of the staff were busy doing things. No one was standing around. Something needs tweaking. I'm definitely open to giving this place another try in the future- but I personally think they are going to have to do things differently in order to be more successful.

Food is excellent. From breakfast to lunch & dinner. Avocado toast is different and taste better than I've tasted. The salmon is delicious. The pasta chicken orecchiette also one of my favorites. Restaurant is very nice to dine in. And has 4 large tvs.

Food is terrific and service is first-rate. Our server was jovial and engaging. We also got complimentary bruschetta, which, in this time of serious inflation, feels pretty darn good. The portion sizes are excellent. The interior is warm and inviting and you forget that you're on 82nd Street in Jackson Heights because of the serenity inside. I had the Shrimp Taco El Pastor and it was divine. The calamari was equally good. Very light. The chilaquiles were amazing.

This place is awesome! Great service, delightful interior, pleasant music - and most importantly: awesome food! Not your typical diner, more like a restaurant with a diner-ish menu with many Mexican options (try the tacos!).

We love this place! Every meal is wonderful! I think this is the best breakfast EVER! And the service is friendly and warm and efficient. The ambience is so hospitable. I look forward to our meals at Florence because I know they will be delicious!

Regular in this diner because of how great it is. Good food, great service! Very tentative staff, checking in and always around to get anything you need. My server, Ivan and manager, Michelle was very helpful and friendly! Highly recommend the house omelette. Great ambiance for families or a date!

We had salmon Benedict, California omelette, western omelet, Nutella French toast, and chocolate chip pancake. All the food and the service was excellent.
