In all the years I've lived in Miami, FL, I had never been to the Florida Keys Outlet Marketplace. On a whim, I decided to visit this past weekend, as I was trying to kill some time while waiting in the Homestead area.
Sadly, it doesn't seem like I missed out on much. The mall is very small , (compared to other malls in Miami), and seemed almost desolate- having very little foot traffic and equally limited amount of shops.
Shops of greater significance included Coach, Nike Outlet, Adidas Outlet, Bealls, Rack Room Shoes, AE Outlet, Famous Footwear and a few other well known brands. There were also a few mom and pop generic shops scattered about. In total, it felt like it may have only been between 20-30 shops. Most of the center kiosks were unoccupied and the food court had only about 5 vendors in total. There is a small playground in the center where children can pass some time, but otherwise nothing much else to do.
All in all, not worth the visit if you are not in the actual area. If you not local and driving on the FL Turnpike back from the Keys, it may be worth it, only if you are specifically looking for the select shops they have. If you plan on staying on the Turnpike and going northbound, go to Dolphin Mall instead. You will find that's its almost like night and day between the two malls.
