We have mixed feelings about this place. The aesthetics of the cabins are lovely, a super nice idea and the relaxed vibe and close proximity to the beach was great. One member of staff was much more attentive and welcoming than others, many kind of seemed not overly bothered or interested in guests. The positioning of the cabins also weren’t great in relation to the close proximity of their ‘workers/groundwork hut’ as they light a fire each morning to burn a bunch of leaves and other stuff which absolutely stinks inside the accommodation and outside in the bathroom. Not nice, it made sitting outside on the deck unbearable. We had to go out because we couldn’t cope with the smell. As others have said, it’s also very noisy, but we could tolerate this if others things were better. There is also a significant lack of light in the cabins. Luckily we brought head torches, but trying to pack and find things in your cabin once the sun has gone down (and even during the day to be honest) can be a bit of a pain. Overall, we were glad to leave after 3 nights, we wouldn’t have wanted to stay any longer.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. While the booking photos depict a serene and inviting place, the reality is a complete nightmare. First, there is ongoing construction on an adjacent lot, so expect to be woken early by the relentless noise of concrete mixers. Even worse, the open-air bathroom design allows construction workers to pass by and see into the bathrooms. This led to a deeply disturbing incident where a worker stared at my wife while she was showering, making her feel unsafe and uncomfortable for the remainder of our stay. Under Indonesian law, such voyeuristic behavior is considered criminal, which makes the hotel’s negligence even more unacceptable. When we raised this serious issue with the hotel staff, their response was shockingly dismissive. Instead of showing empathy, they asked if we had photos of the worker staring at my wife, which was both insensitive and absurd. The process of obtaining a refund was extremely difficult, and the staff was unapologetically rude throughout. This was, by far, the worst experience we had during our month-long trip in Indonesia. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Due to the open style of the bungalows my 11 year old was eaten by mosquitos despite our best efforts. On our last day she developed an allergic reaction with a fever. We called a doctor to see her. We had to check out at midday but our flight wasn't until 10.30 that night. She was far too sick to walk around the streets killing time during the afternoon. We asked if we could keep her resting on a bed in the bungalow until it was time to go to the airport. They saw how sick she was but they said no, someone was checking in to that room and we could instead stay around the pool area. We did and saw that no one checked in to our room. At the office there was a board with a list of rooms that were available and ours had no one coming. Cannot understand why they would deny a sick child a bed to lay on.

We stayed in Flowerbud Bungalow Bangalan 1, although I believe the two are linked, they are separate places. The bungalow is lovely, we stayed in bungalow #2. It has a double bed downstairs, wardrobe and storage with tea/coffee facilities and a double bed upstairs, both have mosquito nets. We had Aircon which worked great and there was also a fan. There is no fridge so you can't store any milk but you can get milk from the restaurant and coffee mate is provided. The bathroom is outdoors which is lovely, and still private as it's surrounded by plants. As it's outdoors there are a few geckos and caterpillars, so be aware of that. There is a little porch on the bungalow with seating which is a lovely place to sit and listen to the sounds of the local wildlife. The pool is lovely and although shared with about 6 other bungalows we were there a week and rarely saw anyone else using it, sometimes just 1 or 2 other people. The staff are really nice and helpful and the restaurant provides some lovely food and drinks throughout the day, all well priced, although Bali does have a government tax which you need to be aware of added on at the end and there is often a small charge for foreign card payments. The location is quiet but close to a few restaurants, one particular restaurant opposite has amazing views to watch the sunset and the bungalows are a short walk to the beach where there are some other bars/restaurants. The walk is on uneven ground and on an incline so although short be aware of the terrain. You quite often see cows, dogs and cats in the area and they seem well looked after which is great! Overall we had an amazing stay at Flowerbud Bungalows and I would definitely stay again 😃

The garden was beautiful, nice pool and poolside hangout and the bales looked really cool with bamboo traditional thatch. It was a nice experience and I'd recommend it. On the other hand, it could have been cleaner when we arrived and a space to hang wet clothes and towels would have been nice. I didn't see the staff much. Solid stay close to the surf beach, just don't expect glam.

Located only a short walk from a beautiful beach. However, rooms were just not very clean, bed sheets, mosquito net and curtains stained. The cushions for the outside “living room” were also very dirty so we didn’t sit on them. Bathrooms are also outside which invites lots of bugs and you’re also overlooked by construction workers. This is also quite noisy during the early hours of the morning.

Great stay. Around 5 min walk to the beach, but we mostly enjoyed the pool. Beautifull greenery and really good food & fruit juices (cheap prices). There was even a live music night. We were provided with complemetary water, shower worked fine with hot water, ac avaliable too. Staff really friendly.
